Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren responded to the heroic actions of the man who stopped the church shooting in Texas on Sunday by announcing that she would not support universal conceal carry even if the person had to be vetted by the government and obtain licensing. The Democrat senator from Massachusetts made the remarks on Thursday while campaigning in Concord, New Hampshire. An audience member brought up how Jack Wilson acted heroically during the shooting and stopped the attacker within just a few seconds and saved countless lives as a result.

Pretty soon we’ll all have to run for President just for a security detail to keep us from getting shot. Like Elizabeth Warren. Or work on a heavily policed college campus to keep from getting shot. Like Elizabeth Warren. Her reasoning for taking away our best means of protection. is that we are all a bunch of fascists. Elizabeth, like you?

Fortunately, it doesn't matter if you do or don't Lieawatha. The 2nd was put in there to prohibit government from doing anything about citizen's weapons. BTW, that prohibition applies to the government taxing same, too, which is the false excuse their creatures on the supreme court gave as to why the gov could demand money for certain objects, some of which were weapons and otherwise put restrictions on them. All bogus. And it's way past time to dump it all as the unconstitutional mess it is - along with the Hughes act and all the other 20k+ 'gun laws'.

Tell ya what, Liz: go to a service at that church. Stand where the shooter stood, and look at the worshippers around you: the people who would have been the next ones gunned down if the shooter had lived a few seconds longer. Look those people in the eye. Tell each one of them, "I'm Elizabeth Warren, and your life is less important to me than ending concealed carry." You'll never do that, Liz, any more than you'd ask your security detail to disarm. There simply are no words for your level of hypocrisy.

In his first televised remarks since ordering the airstrike that killed Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad, President Trump said he took the drastic action to stop a war, not start one. “We took action last night to stop a war,” Trump said during brief remarks at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. “We did not take action to start a war.”Trump said Soleimani was planning “imminent and sinister attacks.” Here are Trump’s full comments, via a poll report from a White House reporter in Florida. Thank you very much and good afternoon. As president my highest and most solemn duty is the defense of our nation and its citizens.

But although individual leftists have redlined (Hillary, Anthony Weiner, your name here), the movement as a whole has repeatedly pulled out before going into the abyss. So much for the taunt from Iran’s “supreme leader,” Ayatollah Khamanei, that America “cannot do a damn thing” about Iran’s attack on our embassy in Baghdad. It took President Trump but a day after that jibe to wheel on the Iranians. He launched a drone attack that found and killed the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Qassim Soleimani. It is likely to mark a turning point in the not-so-quasi war that Iran has been levying against us — and, among others, Israel. This is not a situation in which responsibility is being debated on murky evidence.

The U.S. killing of Qassim Soleimani In Baghdad on Thursday ends an enduring threat. At least in the short term, however, it will unleash Iranian retaliation. The leader of the external action arm of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Soleimani long led that regime's efforts to destroy its enemies and expand its revolution. From an explosive campaign that killed hundreds of U.S. soldiers in Iraq, to supporting Bashar Assad's regime with legions of Shiite fighters and IRGC operatives, to conducting a campaign of bombings and assassinations and intimidation across the world, Soleimani was a master of his very dark arts.
