Just when you thought the House Democrats’ impeachment frenzy couldn’t get any more ridiculous, Speaker Pelosi is threatening to derail the constitutionally required Senate trial that would result in President Trump’s acquittal. In a news conference following the impeachment vote, she noted that the rules passed by the House Rules Committee enabled her to withhold naming House impeachment managers (snip) Pelosi’s threat implicitly defines the impeachment vote as political, not constitutionally substantive. All the blather about the solemn constitutional responsibility is exposed as BS: BullShiff

The American voter has been quite tolerant of this nonsense. But I believe there will be fierce blowback if House Democrats want to drag-out impeachment hearings into 2020.

If Pelosi does this then McConnell should hold a Senate vote to dismiss the case.

I thought Demonrats were insistent that Orange Man must go?
This is absolute proof that Demonrats used "somber" Impeachment as a purely political stunt.

When this process started, I considered it a childish temper tantrum. As it's gone on, and we've discovered the scope and breadth of the operation, it has obviously been treason by the Democrat party against the voters.
In 2016, the chant was "Lock Her Up!!"
In 2020 the chant might be "Lock THEM Up!!" It would certainly be only justice for us.

Pelosi is wandering around like a Jihadi wearing a bomb vest, try to decide when to detonate it to cause the most damage. It's McConnell's to take it away from her NOW, and kick her scrawny butt back to the House.

Read the Breitbart article by Joel Pollak just down the page. The Senate can go ahead without having formally been given the Articles.

No amount of spin or media help is going to mitigate the breath taking audacity of the Democrats using the word 'fairness' in this process. Pelosi threatening now to withhold the articles of impeachment until McConnell capitulates to the minority is an epic political misstep and it is almost worth it to watch this meltdown of the moronic liberals. The at risk Democrat house members have probably emptied the shelves of Excedrin by now.

Give her a deadline. After which the Impeachment Articles will stand null and void. Mitch has the power to do this. Does he have the political will?

According to Sundance at CTH, this whole sham is likely just a ploy to gain access to more "evidence" with which to persecute Trump, laying the groundwork for impeachment v2. The dims aren't as stupid as they seem; there are 3 cases now working their way through the courts that have bearing on this. It may all come to nothing but we will not soon see the end of it, even with a senate acquittal or dismissal.

Nan, don't waste our time. The Senate can forge ahead when it chooses. Better re-review the Constitution, girl. By the way, Nan, what was with that Satan-esque pin you were wearing last night?

Remember when Pelosi and the democrats declared that impeaching President Trump was a national security issue? If they didn't hurry up and do it, America would be severely damaged? Well, Pelosi has suddenly forgot about ''national security,'' as she tries to tell the Senate how to operate! Pelosi is a joke! A sad joke...

This just goes to prove once and for all time she knows this is all a hoax. She must know that Trump will hit back so hard her great grandkids will feel the smack. Could it be that his demand at the rally last night for the democrats to show Trump exactly what he has done, is finally sinking in her thick skull? They cannot show him what he has done, for he has not done anything wrong. Except for not kissing Pelosi's ring, and letting her boss him around.
Nobody has ever stood up to Pelosi before, and I think that is part of what is driving this attack. Trump was covered by a treaty signed by Clinton back in the 90's when he made the calls to Ukraine. If she thinks Trump won't hesitate to bring that fact up she is sniffing her smelly stockings again.
The senate is not required to hang their credibility and political future on a bunch of bogus nonsense and tantrums, and she knows it. Hopefully Graham and Turtle know that too.

Democrats in general, and Pelosi in particular, are obsessed with power.
They ran roughshod over minority rights in the House because they had the votes. Now they are trying to dictate the actions of the Senate where they have neither the authority nor the votes. Heads I win, tails you lose.
In the 2020 election, the people have the opportunity and the obligation to take back the government of the people, by the people and for the people by throwing out these Democrats who only want to play power politics. The future of America is at stake.

It doesn't matter what the H of R does. Now that impeachment has been voted Yay, the Senate CAN ACT without receiving a submission from Pelosi. The can hold a trial or unilaterally dismiss the charges at any time.

It's all endless tantrums and theater. Like a really bad divorce. One batshiite crazy party endlessly doing anything and everything to annoy and harrass the other party. Last minute ridiculous demands to extort concessions. And NO concession will ever end it.

This is all for leverage against the President getting to appoint another SC justice. He will be an *impeached President. His selection will not be valid. So they will say. Any appointment will motivate the Dems to vote in 2020. Perhaps RBG plans to step down. Am I overthinking?

I think it was Rush who said yesterday that this impeachment frenzy could last 4 more years. To me, that proves that it isn't a REAL impeachment, just a partisan witch hunt. All the witches and therefore Democrats.

Nancy Pelosi is not a US Senator and has no business trying to tell the US Senate how the Senate should operate their proceedings either directly or indirectly. Pelosi and the Democrats have passed two articles of impeachment against President Trump that they claim are analogous to indictments. If that is so, the Democrats should be required to stay within their passed articles of impeachment and present their evidence in a Senate trial expeditiously, so that Trump gets a speedy trial, as the constitution provides after a person is indicted. But Pelosi is now claiming that she will delay sending the matter to the Senate for trial as her committees attempt to come up with new evidence and witnesses against the President. What the Senate should do now is set a certain trial date encompassing the two passed articles of impeachment, and notify the House Democrats of that date and time for them to appear in the Senate and present their case. If the House Democrats do not then appear, the Senate should dismiss the two articles of impeachment, and move on to other business. As there is no precedent or tradition for passed articles of impeachment to be held over a President’s head indefinitely, and clearly in this case for partisan political reasons.

That Satan-esque pin Pelosi is wearing looks like some 'golden goose droppings' from high up that hit it's mark. Pigeons do that often but this one is special. Pelosi has a plan to try to herd the cats in her party but this just might be the bombshell that really ends it for her party of misfits.
