Little over a week on from the sad demise of the Kamala Harris presidential campaign, the California senator is the bookies’ favorite to be the Democratic vice presidential candidate.
Yes, despite her candidacy’s high-point coming at the expense of Joe Biden in the first debate — shivving the front-runner for holding a stance on busing remarkably similar to her own — there have been rumblings about her being the right woman to balance his ticket.
In most presidential elections, the vice presidential candidates do not matter — arguably the only one to move the needle in the past 50 years was Sarah Palin, and not in a good way.

A bunch of silly speculation and opinion. Harris is not public servant material, she would be another candidate for Queen of the Universe. The crack about Sarah Palin was uncalled for, both the democrats and the republicans helped to destroy a good woman over uncontrollable family problems that happen to the best of us. Without her in the VP slot, most people would not have bothered to make the trip to the voting booth for Loser McPain, the war hero RINO who saddled us with the Obamacare extension.

Sarah Palin invigorated a dead-stick candidate. We were going to sit out that election, but when she was announced, we decided to vote. I feel many just voted for Sarah, not McNasty. Another waste of a candidate, like Mittens.

Kamalie who, Matt? Oh yeah, she's the one who slept her way to her Senate seat. Matt, I doubt you were even old enough to vote in 2008 and the snarky Palin comment is not called for. Aside from what you hear from our worthless msm, your ignorance as a Brit towards America stands out, bro.

I agree with earlier posters that Sarah Palin drew many to the McCain campaign. However at the end when she defied the campaign by speaking in states where she thought it was needed and then when McCain abandoned his campaign to fly back to Washington (even as his poll numbers were going up), it was all over.
As to Kamala Harris's suitability to be a VP on the Dem ticket. She's lovely, as was Palin, but I can't see Harris happily being second fiddle for long either.

Harris is a "Has Been". She never really caught fire. She has that "Unlikeable" thingy going (too much like Hillary). And, since when does a Party choose the VP from one of the "Losers"? Shouldn't that be saved for the second person standing? I don't think it will be a problem for the Democrats as they won't ever get that far. They have killed any chance for their Party to win anything for a long, long time thanks to Nancy, Adam and Jerry! Americans are so sick of this Impeachment Charade, I would bet viewership for the LONG TV coverage of yet another "hearing" yesterday was WAY down. Talk about boring. I have watched tons of Hallmark movies since all FOX is covering is Impeachment! You can say what you want about Hallmark movies, but they are a darnside more interesting than the likes of that Sham Hearings run by Mr. Magoo and Bug Eyes!

For the first four years of the Smidgen reign of error I had a sticker on my car that said, “Don’t blame me. I voted for Palin.”
It is tragic that the back stabbing McPain was also on the ticket.

Gotta love Whory Booker with his " more billionaires in it than black people". That must explain why he worked so hard to get Herman Cain elected as president. I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr Cain during his campaign and he is an impressive man.
You're not, Senator Booger.

The democrats have a quandary should they choose the blanket head mattress back Harris or the gap tooth ration buffet destroyer from Atlanta to have their 'sistah' woman of color for show. After all they can't appear to be white supremacist oh no not the left.

Even the thought of Harris being One Heartbeat away from being President of the United States makes me CRINGE!

Remember Barack Obama is still for all intents and purposes the leader of the Democrat Party so if the eventual Democrat nominee wants Obama’s vocal support, that the nominee will definitely need, look for Obama to slip his candidate, probably Deval Patrick onto the Democrat ticket in the VP slot. In that respect, is no doubt that the Democrats must have a Black politician on their ticket, especially since President Trump is polling to have about 33% of the Black vote supporting him based upon the very successful Trump economy.

Doesn't the VP live on the grounds of the National Observatory? Who has better mastered the position for looking at stars? She might fit right in.

I think the Democrat House of Lords (i.e. Super Delegates) have already chosen Governor of Georgia Stacy Abrams to fill that gap on the ticket. :-)
