Obama ranked better president than
George Washington by most Democrats: Poll

Original Article

A majority of Democratic voters polled recently said Barack Obama was a better president than George Washington, Monmouth University reported Tuesday. Conducted from Dec. 4-8, the survey involved asking more than 900 respondents to answer: “Who was a better president: George Washington or Barack Obama?” Among all registered voters, 58% named Washington as the better president compared to 33% who picked Mr. Obama.(Snip) Among all Democrats, 29% said Washington and 63% said Mr. Obama. Monmouth said the survey question was “inspired” by a recent Economist/YouGov Poll that similarly asked respondents to compare Mr. Trump to several fellow Republican presidents

Comments:

This is what happens when anyone with a pulse is given access to the voting booth.
"Sir, would you care to explain why you chose Obama, a failed president with no accomplishments other than crippling the nation and sewing racial discord?"
"He black!"

The problem with that finding is that the majority of today’s Democrat voters don’t know who George Washington was, other then his picture is one dollar bills. So if the pollsters want to influence or sway the poll, the first question to minority Democrat voters, but then not included in the final poll results would be “Did you know that George Washington was a slave owner”? Common sense will tell you that would do the trick.

It's an absurd question. The vast majority of Americans, myself included, don't know enough about Washington's presidency to draw a conclusion based on anything other than Obama's abysmal record. I agree that Washington wins, but I can only justify it by pointing out Obama's failings, not by listing Washington's successes. Beating the British is obviously huge, but it was prior to his presidency and doesn't address the question.

#27 Lincoln WAS a better president than Trump. When Lincoln issued executive orders depriving American citizens of their rights, the courts didn't stop him. Trump isn't even allowed to protect the borders which is the first duty of a president. Remember, Lincoln wasn't in favor or freeing slaves, he only did it as a political stunt go gain support among the those northerners that didn't have slaves of their own.

This sort of preference poll is worthless. The life and times of each President are very different. How a President responds to situations and the make up of Congress have much more to do with earning respect and their style of leadership. Not every President so far has had a war, or a depression, or a pandemic on his watch. Comparisons at best are invidious.

Barry was an incompetent putz who disregarded the constitution everywhere he could, not to mention that he set race relations back 70 years, got our military killed with his outrageous rules for our military that guaranteed they would be killed, showed his love for jihadis, and actually refused aid to the Ukraine when the Russians invaded.
