The Inevitable Breakup
of the American Left

Original Article

What makes up the American Left? It is not a homogenous entity but an amalgamation of various factions now overwhelmingly dominated by its smallest and most radical element, the avowed Marxist/socialists. However, the largest group and underpinning of the movement are the credulous, patronizing and narcissistic liberals who in their naiveté believe that the enemy of my enemy, conservatives and Judeo-Christian values, are their friends. Yet those friends now control the Democratic Party and are feverishly attempting to transform this nation into a socialist “paradise” which will devour their liberal elite allies.

Yes, the Democrats have been successful by using progressive incrementalism as their tactic. I am hoping they have finally overstepped enough incremental phases that the blind followers of the party see the folly. There are too many disjointed and opposing factions in the party for it to hold together as it is.

Lyndon Johnson said of his Plan for the nation, the Great Society, that once we got-em. we got-em forever. of course he was talking of the people on welfare who he turned into parasites. Now there are generations of people who have never been productive in any fashion and who live off the not too well run system. These parasites, criminals, illegals, and people who think like them are the Democrat base. How to combat this mess is the real job of the patriots in the conservative movement.

Unfortunately, while the author is correct that if the Democratic Party were to win control of both Houses of Congress and the Presidency in 2020 it would implode, it does not matter because those who controlled the levers of power would be able to maintain control. The factions which discovered that they were just useful idiots would have no recourse (except violent revolt).

Unfortunately, even a landslide defeat of the Dems in 2020 will not quell the Socialist uprising in this country. George Soros and friends have spread their tentacles so far and wide through the use of their various non-profits, it will take a RICO indictment and complete elimination of these groups and the leaders therein if we are to have any chance. I love Steve McCann and always appreciate his insight. I just think unless we eliminate all of these subversives in these various organizations, a loss in 2020 will just cause them to re-group and become even more violent.

"could be the impetus for the Democratic Party to recover any sense of moderation" All that they would learn is that they need to be sneakier about their real intentions. As the article states however, the dem party has been busy building the radical elements in their midst to use as tools. Those tools have now broken free and it is doubtful they are going to be reasonable. The dem party has created fake grievances and unreal expectations and that is what is driving the radicals. They are frustrated that the dems haven't delivered justice. The truth is, there is no "justice" to deliver since, for the most part, no wrongs have really been done. But how can the establishment dems now admit to that; that they have always been lying. The radicals are either going to run the party or they are going to leave it. Neither action will yield any election wins. A radical dem party is unelectable and a moderate dem party without the radicals does NOT have the votes to win. The dems created a Frankenstein's monster and it is now on the rampage. This show never ends well and it may not "end" even with a resounding defeat for the dems at the ballot box in 2020. How crazy are the radicals? "The Republican Party has the once in a lifetime political opportunity to change its perception and become the party of the working classes and to remain in power well into the future." That might be true but the Republican establishment has the super power of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. So much of the current power structure is connected to the bureaucracy or globalism or some other established structure that is bad for the Country. Although many of them have learned it's not wise to fight Trump, they are waiting for him to leave to go back to business as usual. Will that allow a "new" Republican party to emerge? That's doubtful. Trump is a unique figure. Will the Republicans learn anything from him? Will they change too? That's what it will take.

In a story that doesn’t hold together very well, Lisa Page launches her spin campaign just a week before the Department of Justice Inspector General Horowitz is to release his report on the genesis of the investigation of candidate and then President Trump, in which Lisa Page was deeply implicated. Speaking to Molly Jong-Fast of the Daily Beast, who is more than sympathetic, Page presents herself as a victim, with support from Jong-Fast (the daughter of two left wing authors, Erica Jong and Jonathan Fast)

As one can readily see, Hillary Clinton has been unable to recover from having lost the 2016 presidential election -- a self-inflicted wound that she will never cop to. Or, possibly, an act of divine intervention. She has come up with well over a dozen reasons for her defeat -- every one but the real one, i.e. she is a loser -- not just a sore loser, but a total loser. She is incredibly incompetent, fundamentally dishonest, and criminally corrupt, and these are her good qualities. In addition, she is bereft of a trace of integrity or character, has absolutely no judgment, and is devoid of people skills

When you consider the vast number of people forced to watch CNN as they waited at their gates for delayed airline flights on the busiest travel day of the year, one marked by weather delays in most of the country, this call for harsh derision could affect a lot of Thanksgiving dinners today. Ridicule and scorn do not fit well with the theme of giving thanks for the blessings we receive as Americans, but then again, CNN, in the ratings tank and discredited for its repeated fake news incidents, has less to be thankful for than most Americans, enjoying higher incomes and lower taxes.

Next year’s Tokyo Summer Olympics may spell the swift death of the transgender movement as a dominant politically-correct touchstone. Biological men, self-identifying as women, are poised to make a clean sweep of the Women’s Olympics, triggering a very public debate on this third-rail subject. That firestorm, pitting pro-women feminists against extreme pro-transgender progressives, will begin July 24th, just as the Presidential sweepstakes moves into its sprint to the finish line. The International Olympic Committee -- the IOC -- recently admitted they couldn’t come up with fair guidelines governing how and when transgender women can compete as women

Last night's Democratic presidential debate featured a slew of predictable boilerplate from the candidates advocating for abortion. First, Sen. Amy Klobuchar got asked about it, and she stated the usual stuff, and then Sen. Elizabeth Warren got asked a slightly different question by MSNBC host Rachel Maddow about whether there was any room left in the Democratic party for a pro-life Democrat, such as Louisiana's governor John Bel Edwards. Warren was evasive, failing to answer the question directly, but she made it pretty clear there was no room. (snip) Bel Edwards belies that because the likely game changer for Bel Edwards is that he was pro-life.

Watching Schiff's trumped up inquiry about nothing but a phone call, the transcript of which has been available to the public for many weeks, is like watching The Caine Mutiny (1954) without the drama. The film is about a naval captain whose first officer relieves him of his command when the man demonstrates obvious signs of mental instability. All that is missing from Schiff's on-air mental collapse are the little steel balls that Humphrey Bogart as Captain Queeg fiddled with while on the stand at the court-martial of the mutineers. Queeg was obsessed with missing strawberries. Schiff's impending mental breakdown is demonstrably more obvious, less subtle than Queeg's.

Until a month or so ago, virtually no one outside of the seven circles of hell that is the State Department had heard of Marie Yovanovitch. Even the intrepid John Solomon had not heard of her until March of this year. He had interviewed Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko who told him that Yovanovitch gave him a "do not prosecute" list the first time he met with her. He was angered by her list which he justifiably saw it as interference in Ukraine's government. He felt she was meddling in their anti-corruption investigations by telling him who should not be investigated.

It’s one of the questions you’re not supposed to ask in public but everyone talks about in private: What’s going on with Matt Drudge? For conservatives, the Drudge Report was a one-stop shop for news on the Internet starting in the late 1990s. When Matt first broke the scandal involving the President of the United States and an intern, his place at the top of alternative media, as it was called then, was secured. As always, imitators followed. But none came close to combing as many news outlets and boiling down the essence of stories like Drudge. That was his magic – he’d plow through stories and

Next year, Democrats will control both houses of Virginia’s state Legislature as well as its governorship. On November 18, State Sen. Dick Saslaw introduced a bill that he will sponsor in the 2020 legislative session. That bill will outlaw not only the sale or transfer but also the possession of certain firearms. Saslaw’s bill — SB 16 — provides that “It is unlawful for any person to import, sell, manufacture, purchase, possess or transport an assault firearm” and makes such actions a Class 6 felony. The rants coming from the Democrats running for office clearly show that none of them studied civics in school.
