Pro-abortion 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg quotes Jesus Christ in the first statewide South Carolina television ad of his campaign. The South Bend, Indiana mayor will release the new ad Tuesday in South Carolina, where internal focus groups conducted by Buttigieg’s campaign found that black voters see the mayor’s sexuality as a “barrier.” The 30-second television ad, titled “Welcomed Me,” includes clips of a speech Buttigieg gave last month at the Iowa Democratic Party’s Liberty and Justice Celebration, in which he quoted from the Bible.“In our White House, you won’t have to shake your head and ask yourself,

I wonder what Our Maker thinks of a politician who quotes His words while supporting state sponsored abortion as a human right.

At least Pete and his husband won't have to worry about whether to have an abortion or not.

Buttboy needs to realize two things. Jesus said love of God is the first and foremost commandment and killing babies God formed in the womb doesn't seem to be loving Him very well, and also the Greek word for the physical love Pete has for his "husband," eros, is never used in the Bible. Helping the poor is commanded but you've got to follow all the way, not just cherry pick what commands you wish to follow.

There's something unseemly about this pervert's propensity to preach his version of Christianity to anyone who will listen. I find it very off-putting.

I assume he did not quote Luke 17:2 "It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble."

Yes, he knows about Jesus.
But does Jesus know him?
Inquiring minds make a clear distinction.
When Jesus was being tempted, the tempter quoted Scripture to him. This did not make the tempter into an angel of God. Lots of people misquote scripture. That does not make them holy or good.
You have to live by all of Scripture. Which is hard. And not many do.

We need this guy in office like we need an additional hole in the head. If he were to become president the highlight of his presidency to me would be seeing the photograph of his (her?) husband poking his head though the door of the resolute desk.

Am not in the habit of quoting Bible verses. But Leviticus 20:13 is not ambiguous. The purpose of sex is reproduction. Anything else is unnatural. I don't need lectures from him about morality.

You see, Pete, the problem is that you keep demonstrating that you care more about what voters think of you than what the ultimate author of The Book you keep quoting thinks of you. That makes your attempts to appear pious dishonest and your beliefs idolatrous. It does appear that you follow the wishes and desires of Peter of South Bend instead of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.

I think using the Word of God for one's own purposes for one's own benefit, mishandling the Word, misquoting Scripture, or taking out of context, twisting to suit one's personal desires, political "ends", greed for power, fame, recognition, and possibly worst of all, to excuse or even sanction sin.
Where, oh where is the ACLU, and the Foundation for the Freedom from Religion and every other organization dedicated to eradicating the Bible from Public Square???

Where does an active homosexual who celebrates abortion get off quoting the Bible to anyone? Not to mention that most of his supporters are atheists and probably hate every word printed in the Bible.

Jesus is not going to be happy with this degree of hypocrisy!!!! Hopefully Satan will be able to explain that to him some day, since they will be spending a lot of time together after Butt-boy dies!!!!!
