60 Minutes found over 300 Trump ads have been taken down by Google and YouTube for violating the companies' policies. The report notes the campaign videos generally ran over the summer but were taken down by the companies after only a few days. During an interview with 60 Minutes, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki was asked to respond to conservative critics who say YouTube discriminates against content creators with a conservative viewpoint. "Well, first of all," Wojcicki began, "there are lots of very successful conservative creators on YouTube... Our systems, our algorithms, they don't have any concept of understanding what's a Democrat, what's a Republican.

And I suspect they are doctoring comments sections in places I've gone to for years. Most places I go to are sympathetic with Trump. Now there is a huge discrepancy in numbers against Trump. And it's happened all of a sudden - everywhere.

Algorithms contain the bias of the person who designed them, the bias of the person who incorporated them into the software code and if using machine learning, the bias of the data used to train it. So yes Susan, algorithms ARE biased and you know it.

If I am politically aware and know what side I’m on, what does it matter if Google, Facebook, or Twitter wipe out all conservative ads? The internet is vast and you’ll always find the truth no matter what these gnomes do.

It matters because Google, Facebook & Twitter are the primary mode of information dissemination in this country and many others. Until that changes it is very difficult to get information out to those who are not yet well informed. George Orwell captured the power of those who control information.

Whose fault is it for not being well-informed? I knew what is truthful and false since the middle seventies. There was no internet. Nixon won against Humphrey in a landslide, in spite of what the alphabet networks tried to do. If you pay attention, you’ll know what direction to take. One has to be an easily manipulated fool to be steered about by someone else’s will. I stand by what I posted.

Hunter Biden was a no-show for an Arkansas court hearing Monday in the paternity case against him – as his lawyers unexpectedly filed papers saying they’d been fired, according to reports. The motion by Biden’s attorneys to withdraw from his case was filed moments before the scheduled hearing in Independence County Circuit Court in Batesville, according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Former Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel and two co-counsels cited an unspecified “irreconcilable conflict”

“This is beyond anything Nixon did.” Those words declared by Democratic House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff capture the vast constitutional challenge for the House Judiciary Committee as it heads toward its announced hearing on the impeachment of President Trump. There is still disagreement, to use a Clintonian twist, of what “this” is. Yet whatever “this” is, it is not Nixonian, at least not yet. Schiff seems to struggle to reduce the harsh allegations against Richard Nixon in order to elevate those against Donald Trump. Schiff explained that Watergate was merely “a third rate burglary of the Democratic headquarters” while now “what we are talking about here is the withholding

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has 30 days to ask his country’s legislators for immunity on corruption charges after a copy of his indictment was handed over to the Knesset on Monday, starting the clock on what's likely to be a lengthy legal battle with immense global implications. A three-judge panel is gearing up to hear the unprecedented case in Jerusalem district court, while Israel’s attorney general is expected to call more than 300 witnesses -- including billionaires James Packer and Sheldon Adelson. If Netanyahu asks Israel’s legislative body for immunity, however, the trial could be put on hold for months, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The media didn’t wake up until Elizabeth Warren started sinking in the polls. For much of the year, she basically skated on a health care plan that is political suicide. But as the Massachusetts senator surged toward front-runner status, the poll-obsessed press essentially said hey, it’s working. Medicare for All is popular with the party’s progressive wing, Warren has a plan for everything, they’re all geniuses. And yet, here was a leading Democratic candidate promising to run against President Trump by taking away private health insurance from 150 million Americans. It didn’t take a political genius to realize that this would be an unmitigated disaster in a general election.

President Trump’s reelection campaign will no longer grant media credentials for rallies and other campaign events to Bloomberg News journalists. The policy, announced on Monday by Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale, came more than a week after the top editor at Bloomberg News told editorial and research staff that the company would not conduct in-depth investigations of Michael Bloomberg or his rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination. By refraining from such investigative reporting, Bloomberg News had all but formalized “preferential reporting policies.” “Since they have declared their bias openly, the Trump campaign will no longer credential representatives of Bloomberg News for rallies or other campaign events,” Parscale said in a statement.

Buckingham Palace has been decontaminated. Prince Andrew’s office has been closed down. Any chair he sat in has been reupholstered, all doorknobs swabbed down. Let’s not even talk about the bathrooms. I can’t remember a time when the royal family’s damage control was so swift and absolute. Priests are excommunicated with less haste and more mercy than Andrew in the wake of his disastrous BBC Epstein-related interview, and its ever-cascading fallout. But I detect the odor of scapegoating and hypocrisy in the decisive role that Prince Charles has played in this purge against his brother.

Just how stupid are we human beings as a species? That’s been an ongoing debate in the environmental law field for over a generation. The prevailing view was stated in a famous article by Garrett Hardin, “The Tragedy of the Commons,” which appeared in Science in 1968. Hardin argued that if resources are owned in common, people will overuse them until the carrying capacity of the resource is exceeded and environmental calamity results. His example was putting cows out to graze on a pasture owned in common. Because no one has the right to exclude other people’s cows, Hardin maintained that humans would selfishly put more cows on the commons

It’s one of the questions you’re not supposed to ask in public but everyone talks about in private: What’s going on with Matt Drudge? For conservatives, the Drudge Report was a one-stop shop for news on the Internet starting in the late 1990s. When Matt first broke the scandal involving the President of the United States and an intern, his place at the top of alternative media, as it was called then, was secured. As always, imitators followed. But none came close to combing as many news outlets and boiling down the essence of stories like Drudge. That was his magic – he’d plow through stories and

Next year, Democrats will control both houses of Virginia’s state Legislature as well as its governorship. On November 18, State Sen. Dick Saslaw introduced a bill that he will sponsor in the 2020 legislative session. That bill will outlaw not only the sale or transfer but also the possession of certain firearms. Saslaw’s bill — SB 16 — provides that “It is unlawful for any person to import, sell, manufacture, purchase, possess or transport an assault firearm” and makes such actions a Class 6 felony. (In Virginia, Class 6 felonies are punishable by imprisonment for between one and five years.)
