The first Christians were not complainers, Pope Francis said Saturday, because “sad people are not Christians.”
“We think of the first Christians, who had everyone against them, who were persecuted and yet they didn’t complain about the world,” the pope told participants in an international conference on evangelization taking place in Rome.
“Reading the New Testament, we see that they were not concerned with defending themselves against an empire that put them to death, but with announcing Jesus, even at the cost of their lives,” he said.
The pontiff also had strong words against defeatism and pessimism, urging his hearers to be joyful in witnessing to Christ.

It's shocking... He seems to be divorced from the tenets of the Catholic Church and Christianity in general.

Pontiffs who promote heresies are not Pope. And for the record, this one was brought to us by the Sankt Gallen Mafia and prophesy. The True Church will survive him.

Not many Christians left. I would advise you to shut your mouth. Or better yet join Nancy and her liberals going to Spain for Climate Change, you all think alike.

All the sad Christians will be much happier when you're gone, Francis.
Make it happen.

Does Pope Marxist I believe Jesus went to a disco in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights? Does he ever read the Bible? Does he believe that Jesus was lying when He talked about how many times he would be denied?
(For some reason, I remember the words of a parody written by Tom Lehrer, dealing with Vatican II, called The Vatican Rag.)(Pope John 23 had suggested liturgical songs that were more hip.)
First you get down on your knees, fiddle with your rosaries, bow your head with great respect, then genuflect, genuflect genuflect!
...
Make a cross on your abdomen, when in Rome do like the Romans,
Ave Maria, gee its good to see ya,
Doing the Vatican Rag!
I believe the song is available on Youtube. It will brighten your day if you google it.

Actually, on this one, I have to agree with him. Look around. Leftists are anti-Christian. Have you ever met a happy leftist?

Has this Pope even read the Bible? Jesus had great sorrow upon hearing of John the Baptist being killed in prison by Herod.

Forgive second post, but I'm pretty sure I read that when this Pope went to Germany to study for his doctorate as part of his studies for the priesthood that he returned home because he found it boring. I do not believe this man is well-schooled in the faith. He's no Pope Benedict XVI. You sometimes feel he was selected not elected.

It is sad that this man is not a follower of God and His word. God said to not change His word, and He means it. This pope follows another more insidious path designed to mislead from faith, rather than reinforce faith.. You can't have it both ways Frank, slapping Christians one day, then bemoaning the fact that not everyone is Christian the next.

The sad one is Jose. He is a sad excuse for a Pope.
Defender of the faith? Never.
Sower of seeds of doubt and discord? All the time.
Goofball? Permanently.
Will he answer questions? No. Just doing the job of Revolutionary Marxist Theology.

The Bible says that Jesus was “a man of sorrows.“ I guess The founder of Christianity wasn’t a Christian by the Pope’s standards.
