Pope Francis: ‘Sad People
Are Not Christians’

Original Article

Posted By: M2, 12/1/2019 6:32:46 AM

The first Christians were not complainers, Pope Francis said Saturday, because “sad people are not Christians.” “We think of the first Christians, who had everyone against them, who were persecuted and yet they didn’t complain about the world,” the pope told participants in an international conference on evangelization taking place in Rome. “Reading the New Testament, we see that they were not concerned with defending themselves against an empire that put them to death, but with announcing Jesus, even at the cost of their lives,” he said. The pontiff also had strong words against defeatism and pessimism, urging his hearers to be joyful in witnessing to Christ.

The Bible says that Jesus was “a man of sorrows.“ I guess The founder of Christianity wasn’t a Christian by the Pope’s standards.

Does Pope Marxist I believe Jesus went to a disco in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights? Does he ever read the Bible? Does he believe that Jesus was lying when He talked about how many times he would be denied? (For some reason, I remember the words of a parody written by Tom Lehrer, dealing with Vatican II, called The Vatican Rag.)(Pope John 23 had suggested liturgical songs that were more hip.) First you get down on your knees, fiddle with your rosaries, bow your head with great respect, then genuflect, genuflect genuflect! ... Make a cross on your abdomen, when in Rome do like the Romans, Ave Maria, gee its good to see ya, Doing the Vatican Rag! I believe the song is available on Youtube. It will brighten your day if you google it.

Forgive second post, but I'm pretty sure I read that when this Pope went to Germany to study for his doctorate as part of his studies for the priesthood that he returned home because he found it boring. I do not believe this man is well-schooled in the faith. He's no Pope Benedict XVI. You sometimes feel he was selected not elected.

It is sad that this man is not a follower of God and His word. God said to not change His word, and He means it. This pope follows another more insidious path designed to mislead from faith, rather than reinforce faith.. This year's education scandal saw parents shelling out megabucks to gain college admittance for their children. Federal prosecutors have charged more than 50 people with participating in a scheme to get their children into colleges by cheating on entrance exams or bribing athletic coaches. They paid William Singer, a college-prep professional, more than $25 million to bribe coaches and university administrators and to change test scores on college admittance exams such as the SAT and ACT. As disgusting as this grossly dishonest behavior is, it is only the tiny tip of fraud in higher education.

She made a real impression by taking former Vice President Joe Biden down a notch. Although she carefully avoided using the word, she insinuated that Biden’s erstwhile opposition to federally mandated busing made him a racist.

Should the Democrats impeach the president? It’s hard to see a considered strategy in the approach. The president stands accused of using the official functions of his office to create an advantage against his possible 2020 rival, former Vice President Joe Biden. To punish him, Democrats have launched an impeachment crusade that has no chance of succeeding in the Republian-controlled Senate. In fact, there appears to be no possible explanation for this course of action except to gain a 2020 electoral advantage against Trump.
