Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) raised more funds for her reelection campaign than all other Democrats in the House, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi, according to federal elections commission data. Ocasio-Cortez raked in $1.42 million between July 1 and September 30, outstripping Adam Schiff (D., Calif.), who raised $1.26 million over the same period, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), who raised $1.26 million, the New York Post first reported. All three are up for reelection in 2020.

What do you want to bet that most of her money came from one or two very wealthy socialists?

Didn't read past the headline (I know, lazy), but I'm going to bet it's ALL from out of district. In-district donations, I'd speculate, are at an all time low. Her celebrity status and camera hogging plays well with the coasts and college campuses, but her district is suffering. Notoriety is a double-edged sword, and she's forgotten the people who voted her into office.

All that media exposure translates into a high profile which leads to brand recognition which ends up as campaign contributions-which are all outside her district. Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee are calling for the panel to expand its list of witnesses ahead of the Dec. 4 hearing it will hold in the House’s impeachment investigation into President Trump. Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), the ranking member of the judiciary panel, sent a letter to Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.). demanding that he expand the panel beyond the four constitutional law scholars from whom the committee plans to hear. “To ensure fairness and restore integrity to the ongoing impeachment process, I request an expanded panel and a balanced composition of academic witnesses to opine on the subject matter at issue during the hearing,” he wrote.

MSNBC host Joy Reid slammed Republicans as President Trump's "racial and religious cult" after a poll showed that a majority of them view Trump as a better president than Abraham Lincoln. "There’s a lot of ways if you look at like the public religion research institute numbers that, you know, it isn’t just a pejorative to say that it’s a cult," Reid said Saturday on her show. "There’s a lot of evidence that is a racial and religious cult of personality in which his base is solidly among the white evangelicals that almost worship him and say that he’s the chosen one of God."

"Don't get confused here, sir," Perry claims he said to the president. "This is not a reflection that you're perfect, but that God's using you." Earlier this month, the Democratic-controlled New York legislature quietly passed a bill that would “prohibit employers from discriminating against employees based on the employees' or dependent's reproductive health decisions.” On Nov. 8, Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the bill into law, even though it has no religious exemptions. This means the new law could essentially force pro-life religious organizations to hire people who disagree with their very purpose — or face consequences. On Nov. 14, the Alliance Defending Freedom filed a lawsuit on behalf of several pro-life pregnancy centers and a church to hopefully strike down the law, which clearly violates the First Amendment rights of religious people.

Sixteen years later, Hillary Clinton tallied almost 3 million more votes than Donald Trump but lost decisively in the Electoral College, 306–232.
