Gore on climate-change threat: 'This is
the Battle of the Bulge. This is 9/11'

Former Vice President Al Gore on Tuesday compared the seriousness of climate change to battles fought during WWII and the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. “This is Pearl Harbor. This is Midway. This is the Battle of Bulge. This is 9/11. We have to rise to this challenge. We have to change,” Mr. Gore said during a speech in New Jersey after Gov. Phil Murphy laid out his plan to transition the Garden State to clean energy sources, a local CBS affiliate reported. Mr. Gore made the same comparison on Wednesday during a speech at Vanderbilt University in Nashville promoting his Climate Reality Project.

Comments:

Seasoned tea leaf readers know that AlGor emerging from its spiderhole reliably portends harsh winter weather. “Bulge” could represent many things; his bulging wealth thanks to the global warming fraud? His bulging midriff when assaulting hotel masseuses in crazed sex poodle mode? Pockets bulging with foreign campaign cash from Charlie Trie? His Rolling Stone cover photo featuring a sock stuffed down his pants by a stylist so as to boost his appeal among silly young women?

California is increasing business tax rates on legal marijuana, a move that stunned struggling companies that have been pleading with the state to do just the opposite. Hefty marijuana taxes that can approach 50 per cent in some communities have been blamed for pushing shoppers into California's tax-free illegal market, which is thriving. Industry analysts estimate that $3 are spent in the illegal market for every $1 in the legal one.(Snip) Governor Gavin Newsom had lowered expectations for projected tax dollars from within the legal market. In May, Newsom said it would take up to seven years for the legal marijuana industry

Joe Biden really put his fist in his mouth this time. The former vice president had a cringe-worthy moment late in Wednesday’s fifth Democratic presidential primary debate when he used the words “keep punching at it” to answer a question about violence against women. Asked what could be done to address sexual violence and harassment against women, Biden said he’s authored the original Violence Against Women Act and that its reauthorization needs to pass. He also talked about changing the culture on college campuses and touted the “It’s on Us” movement created in the Obama Administration.
