Burger King was sued on Monday by a vegan customer who accused the fast-food chain of contaminating its meatless “Impossible” Whoppers by cooking them on the same grills as its traditional meat burgers. In a proposed class action, Phillip Williams said he bought an Impossible Whopper, a plant-based alternative to Burger King’s regular Whopper, at an Atlanta drive-through, and would not have paid a premium price had he known the cooking would leave it “coated in meat by-products.”
The lawsuit filed in Miami federal court seeks damages for all U.S. purchasers of the Impossible Whopper, and an injunction requiring Burger King to “plainly disclose”
As they say "No good deed goes unpunished. Give them an inch, they will walk you the mile to Court and sue." Best to stick to the beef.

I'm reminded of a story told by comedian Ron White who once mentioned a vegan acquaintance who felt nauseous after having possibly ingested some beef broth...."Your system is kickin' back....broth? You're a manly man, ain'tcha?!" God, I miss the old days.

So, he's serving Burger King for providing some actual nutrition. He should be paying them extra because the meat fat off the grill is probably the healthiest thing he ate with that Impossible Burger.

Oh no, what's next? Beer contaminated by alcohol? Spaghetti contaminated by pasta? Sex contaminated by love?
Life contaminated by joy...?
There are physical things. Then there is the essence of things that make them worth having. If you want a burger, eat beef. If not, you might as well eat styrofoam peanuts.

The poah veeegan musta thought there was a separate new grill used. Better re-think that. With your oh so special choice of foods, perhaps a special vegeeeegan restaurant with veeegan certified equipment would be better. Start a chain of veeegsn restaurants.

Contaminated? That’s a pretty strong word. Triggered. Oh no another scary word. Quick get the bubble wrap. If they were really committed to being vegan then why are they craving burgers?
So sad they are just looking for deep pockets.

Epidemic! Even the Gluten Free people are getting militant. I have seen it in my tiny little town.
To be fair and give credit where due, the Burger King on a major 4-lane near me has the worst food on earth and the worst service of anywhere. It all started when BK started carrying beef tacos. ?? They come frozen and the counter personnel slaps one into the french fry grease when you order it. They should take the word Burger off their logo.

Easy to fix it, microwave it on a disposable piece of plastic. That will be the chauffeur to drive the vegan crazier, not a long trip.

Burger King should name and shame Phillip Williams. They should announce that BK is discontinuing their business plan of providing healthy dietary alternatives for people who choose to not eat meat. Providing separate cooking surfaces and cooking tools for meat and non-meat meals is not practical or reasonable, as the air inside BK's stores will always contain molecules of cooked beef. BK therefore discontinues their Impossible Burger. You can thank Phillip Williams

When or if Phillip Williams wins his suit rename the burger after him, 'the Phillip Burger' or maybe the 'Nothing Burger'. Geez people get offended doesn't Mr. Williams have a Civil War statue to protest or a LGBTQ rally to attend?

if someone wants to be vegan, go ahead but don't try to push it on meat-loving people - why can't they just be happy in their own lane and not try convert the rest of us

Now I understand how BK expects to succeed with this soy burger experiment; Every pseudo-whopper will have a generous coating of actual flame-grilled cow drippins!
Let's assume BK gets past this suit, and their offering becomes a big part of sales. The intention of the vegetarians is (eventually) to completely replace the true-meat component, yes? So at that point, where will the savoury cow drippins come from? This is a serious problem!
Will science rise to the challenge of synthesizing the perfect cow juice? Or will it be like the chocolate molecule, forever beyond our reach?
Or... is it just barely possible to train the populace enough to make them forego even that small remnant of carnivory, and claim to enjoy their SoyBoys "just as much" as before? Talk about whoppers...

Even if it doesn't have any real meat in it, how many chemicals do you have to add to give it that "real meat" flavor?!?!?!?!?
Sadly, all you have to do to fool a bunch of gullible brain-dead lie-berals is to spout off a few good PC terms, and their feelings take over.
Our bodies are perfectly able to process real meat. But insane amounts of chemicals, not so much!!! But hey, lie-berals, as long as it makes you feel good that you aren't eating "real meat", that really doesn't matter to you at all, does it?!?!?!?!?

Opposite concern: The Burger King in our small town puts out a good burger, but I've not gone since the "impossible" burger commercials started. What if an undercover vegan teenager in the kitchen thinks its fun to switch in an "impossible" burger to a regular burger customer?

The movie, "Soylent Green" was set in the year 2020. In 2019, BK introduces the "Impossible Burger." Coincidence?

Vegan diets should be made illegal. Too many vegans are stupid enough to feed their young children on that diet. It does irreparable harm. Years ago some acquaintances of mine were faithful vegans and by the time their child was two years old he was suffering from brain damage due to lack of a sufficient diet. He has never recovered and at 20 years old he is pitiful.
There is current news about a couple of vegans in Florida currently been prosecuted for what they did to their children.

The soybean root nodules that provide the bloody, redness of "impossible" meat substitute has never been part of any human or food animals' diet.
We are seeing an experiment on willing humans.
Since soy, itself is not good for men in any large quantity, this soy nodule is probably not good either.
Otherwise why isn't some animal eating it in Nature?
