Impeachment is not Playing in Peoria

Original Article

During the heyday of American vaudeville, the answer to the question “Will it play in Peoria?” determined whether a show would be a hit or a flop. It was generally understood that if the production wasn’t acceptable to those in heartland America, there was no chance it would succeed anywhere else in the country. So how is the Nancy Pelosi vaudeville production of “The Impeachment Follies” starring Adam Schiff and his merry mélange of marionettes playing in Peoria? Polling, which took place two weeks prior to the opening act of the public impeachment performance and more facts favorable to Trump thus being exposed, revealed some interesting results

This, I like: “ You have spent three years building the gallows for Donald Trump but you and your compatriots in the House of Representatives may well be the only ones hanging from it on November 3, 2020.”

CNN host Chris Cuomo was mocked on Twitter Thursday for a failed attempt to disprove President Trump’s claim that he’s never been able to overhear other people’s nearby phone calls. The president earlier Thursday sent out a tweet trying to debunk impeachment testimony by witness David Holmes, who said he overheard a damning July 26 phone call between Ambassador Sondland and Trump. Cuomo, in a bid to prove Trump wrong, called his mom on air, first without the speakerphone on, in an attempt to show viewers and his co-hosts that they’d be able to hear.

While the fake news media are trying to convince you that Trump investigating the obvious and blatant corruption of the Biden family in Ukraine is a crime, one of their witnesses declared that Obama danced to Putin's tune.Fiona Hill testified that Obama refused to give military aid to Ukraine despite the fact that the "interagency" — the unelected wonks like Vindman who think they not Trump should run foreign policy — said that the U.S. should provide weapons to Ukraine to defend themselves against the Russian invasion.Hill testified that Obama refused to provide lethal aid to Ukraine so as to not upset Putin.

President Trump has opted against pressuring Senate Republicans to immediately dismiss articles of impeachment, sparing the party the prospect of a clash at the outset of an election year. White House counsel Pat Cipollone signaled during a Thursday meeting with key Senate Republicans that Trump has concluded he has more to gain politically from presenting a detailed defense at trial than from no trial at all, said GOP sources familiar with the discussion. That decision should shield Senate Republicans from the damaging backlash from the conservative base that might ensue — at the onset of GOP primary season —

The Trump reelection campaign has released hilarious new t-shirts taking aim at House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff. The shirt features the word “bull” before a pencil-necked caricature of Rep. Schiff. (Tweet/Photo) The description for the shirt, which is made in the USA, states “Our bull-schiff-o-meter is off the charts! Shifty-Schiff pushed the FAKE Russian collusion story for three years and now he’s on to another sham. Don’t let Adam Schiff get away with the bull-Schiff Ukrainian investigation.”

The final hearing on the impeachment inquiry into President Trump is happening as we speak. Career diplomats and foreign affairs specialists Fiona Hill and David Holmes are testifying in what has been a week of hot air. We’ve had a lot of Democratic hyperbole and a lot of witnesses saying they don’t possess direct evidence of the so-called quid pro quo allegations that have been hurled at the Trump White House. It all stems from a whistleblower report that in July, President Trump threatened to withhold aid from Ukraine unless they opened a corruption probe into Hunter Biden’s position at Burisma, an energy company, despite having zero experience.

Rep.
