To quote Hawkeye Pierce: are you cereal, Frank? I thought it was all about the children. I wouldn't have been surprised if she would have insisted that companies CUT the parents' hours down to 5. While still paying them for an entire day's work, of course.

Our local school is closed Nov. 23-Dec 2 for Thanksgiving - which is a 1 day holiday last I checked. Then they close nearly 2-1/2 weeks for 'winter holiday'. How about making them go to school on a regular basis.

What about parents who have to work over night? Schools should be open 24/7 with housing for the sleep over kids. Don’t forget that they will need dinner and breakfast and showers. Good idea to increase taxes to pay for these programs so the parents can work even harder to make ends meet. Brilliant!

All the previous comments are on point. This latest idiocies by this slut is possible due to the continuing existence of the unconstitutional-to-exist federal department of education. As a reminder, education at any level and the funding and regulation of same, is not one of the few, defined, enumerated powers of the federal government. Why it continues to exist at all remains a mystery.
