Why Is Vindman a War Hero but Flynn a Traitor?

Original Article

Posted By: shazbot123, 10/31/2019 4:50:33 AM

The network coverage of the testimony of National Security Council staffer Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman as a “bombshell” and “damning” was laughable and dishonest, implying that his service to his country wearing its uniform made him a credible and unbiased witness without a political agenda. Particularly egregious were the comments of NBC News anchor Lester Holt, who equated wartime courage with peacetime candor.

Because Vindman is a leftist rat? Just a guess.

#1, Nails it. The injustice that we are experiencing today in this country is beyond disturbing. It reeks of Soviet style tyranny. And that’s just the way the democrats like it. Just look at what they have done to the judiciary. So many leftists judges rule by fiat because they can. If we don’t get this dialed back to the way the Constitution intended, we will see more and more of this oppression by the democrats because it is who they are. This faux hero is nothing but a partisan hack in a uniform. He is the worst of the worst which is essentially a spy willing to give up his Commander in Chief not because he has reason but because he doesn’t agree with his politics and policies. The guy is nothing more than a rat, an insubordinate one at that. I don’t know who is doing the hiring in the White House but they should be fired. There are too many people there with an anti-Trump agenda. The holdovers should have been the first to be let go or reassigned very far away. It disturbs me that no one seems to have this President’s back in his workplace and he is suffering because this kind of partisan treachery.

What is even more disturbing is that there are more "Vindmans" imbedded in our military. Having too many "Vindmans" in hiding like moles puts our men and women in uniform at great peril. Should the United States find itself in a major conflict again someday, a "Vindman" would leak battle plans and intel to the enemy or otherwise compromise our military. Recall that the first thing Obie did after he stole the 2008 election was to remove 200 military Generals and replace them with progressive-minded political clones who would do as they are told when they are told.

Vindman and his ilk are the result of two things: the people Obama placed throughout the government, especially in the military and intel agencies and second, for almost 20 years after 9/11, we've been fed this garbage that our intel community is so special and they're the only ones keeping us safe. Cut their black budgets by half. These intel types (civilian and military) think they are holier than thou.

Another question - why is it taboo to attack him because he is Jewish while the leftists go out of their way to attack Orthodox Jews Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and their children? The answer is the same as what #1 stated.

I wish that President Trump 'was concerned' that Vindman was under utilized in his current position, and 'felt' he would better serve the nation at some far away, un-accompanied outpost, staring at a radar screen. Surely the CiC can issue orders to the military. After all, rank has it's privileges.

During VN, the solution akin to what #6 mentions is an excess, underutilized officer in the DC establishment would walk into his office one morning and find two stacks of orders on his desk. One stack was ordering him to VN for a year; the other was placing him on retirement. He had 24 hours to choose which set he would pick up.

I do not believe that Vindman was any kind of a hero. And even if he was, he is a traitor now. For discussing the President's private phone call he needs to be subject to a court martial. Being blown up by an IED is a bad thing, no doubt, but huge numbers of essentially non-combatant folks (not trigger pullers as their actual job) moving around in a vehicle in a combat zone got injured or killed by IEDs. A bomb is a totally indiscriminate weapon which kills civilians and military, combatant and clerks with equal horror.

Those who leave their energy-guzzling multi-million-dollar mansions when they fly off on their private jets to save-the-planet climate change conferences like to ease their consciences and explain their hypocrisy by pointing to their carbon offsets like paying for trees to be planted somewhere that might mature in a hundred years or so. There are a lot of trees in California and a good number of them are on fire, thanks to environmental regulations and policies that are supposed to protect the environment but are in fact destroying it.

In an age of “cafeteria Catholics” who pick and choose which church doctrines they will adhere to and which they will ignore, an age where we have a Pope Francis, who would have us pray for the oceans and invites Amazonian “priests” and their fertility gods into the Vatican, it was refreshing to see a Catholic priest speak truth to power and tell a craven Catholic politician that abortion-on-demand is a moral evil opposed by the Catholic Church and to approve of it means you are unworthy of receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion. .

With Quid Pro Joe Biden's confession to using U.S. resources to pressure a foreign government to benefit his son, maybe in the next Democrat debate, one of the questions will be why, if fossil fuels are evil, the Democrats are committed to ending their use, and we have a decade or so to live before we freeze our hoohahs to death, it was okay for Hunter Biden to sit on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas holding company. Seems Hunter had his very own greenback new deal.

Adam Schiff is perfectly legal because there is no requirement in law that a vote to conduct such an inquiry be taken.

Elizabeth Warren is the current favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination, but one wonders how voters will react when they learn about her bizarrely radical agenda. Warren openly advocates making all private health insurance–the kind that a large majority of Americans have–illegal. She hasn’t begun to think through the implications of this extreme proposal, but when voters begin to contemplate it, my guess they will vote against her, enthusiastically. Yesterday Warren was asked what would become of all those people who are now employed in the health insurance industry. Her answer shows her ignorance of insurance, as well as of the economy in general:

Fonda recently told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that people around the world must come together and bring governments to a halt if “we can’t make them do the right thing.” Besides the fact that it is pie-in-the-sky kind of talk that all the countries around the world will band together to do anything, much less agree on what can be done to ease the effects of climate change, who died

Defense Of The President

Some supporters of President Trump have adopted the following defense of the (at times) nasty, over-the-top rhetoric Trump uses against his adversaries: Trump is “no Mr. Nice Guy,” but “sometimes it takes a Donald Trump to change Washington.” In fact, Trump’s recently released campaign ad makes this pitch in just that language. As a means of making ethical Trump supporters feel better about backing the president, this defense has appeal. But is there anything to it? Not much. Ronald Reagan changed Washington without being Trump-like. Headline corrected*

A new wave of wildfires is likely to reduce the availability of home insurance in vulnerable areas of California. Home insurance already became scarce and expensive in some regions after insurers’ massive payouts for wildfire losses in the state in 2017 and 2018. Home insurers have declined to renew tens of thousands of home-insurance policies in areas with high wildfire risk in the past two years. Now, as firefighters battle several large blazes across the state, 2019 could shape up to be another year of outsize wildfire losses, though this year’s fires have so far not caused significant damage compared

Proponents of daylight saving time – which ends at 2 a.m. Sunday – argue that it gives more daylight hours after a workday and decreases energy consumption. But the negatives far outweigh any positives. It’s time to get rid of daylight saving time once and for all. Daylight saving time (DST) was first proposed as a way to have longer evenings of light in the summer. At 2 a.m. Sunday most of your smartphones will automatically turn their clocks back an hour, giving you a precious extra hour of sleep. But come March, when DST returns, you will be moving your clocks an hour forward – losing an hour of sleep.
