Catholic bishops have a history of telling politicians who support abortion, like Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, that they should not receive communion at Catholic masses.
A Catholic priest denied communion to Biden in South Carolina on Sunday, a move that prompted Biden to defend himself Tuesday, saying, “I am a practicing Catholic, I practice my faith.” This is not the first time Biden has been censured for his abortion stances and prevented from receiving communion. Bishop Joseph Francis Martino of Biden’s hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, told the pro-abortion former vice president in 2008 he could not receive communion.

Biden says, "I am a practicing Catholic, I practice my faith.” What kind of twisted logic is this? How can you practice your Christian faith and advocate for the killing of babies? He doesn't see the issue or for some reason he feels exempt? The fact that he actually feels he is 'practicing his faith' defies sane reason.

About time. If Democrats think that I am going to stand by and be silent with taking God out of American society, I will not. It is my hope that everyone who loves their freedom and country will start or continue to read the Bible. And not just excerpts. It has to be read from beginning to end and the Life Application Bible provides footnotes to help understand what is being read. Read it one paragraph, one page, two pages at a time or whatever works.
I wonder how many priests have read the Bible from beginning to end?

Its the Catholic's religion. Their rules. Their choice. I find it delicious that these communists want to call themselves Catholics but don't want to do the things it takes to be one. Kind of like calling yourself an American but doing bad things for the country.
Maybe they are just identifying as Catholics but have no chance of really being one.

Maybe the Bishop needs to employ Corn Pop as an enforcer. That might get ol' Joe's attention.

The thing many are missing about this is that the priest did it out of love and care for Joe Biden. He didn’t do it to be spiteful or just to make a point. There are still good priests and bishops out there who care for the souls of the flock.

I agree with all the above posters. Quid Pro Joe, Nasty Nancy and the rest of their ilk are not Catholic. Joe says that he is practicing HIS faith. Maybe so, but it's NOT the Catholic faith. in addition these people go beyond choosing what parts of Catholic dogma and doctrine they accept; like many cafeteria Catholics. They are in positions of influence with the power to promote practices that are the antithesis of Catholicism. That is a heinous crime against the Church and humanity. Denying them the Eucharist is a start.

A statement like the one FTA infuriates me:
Kerry said, “‘Abortion should be rare, but it should be safe and legal, and the government should stay out of the bedrooms."
Let me tell you an abortion takes place long after what happens in the bedroom, if it were just about the bedroom I could agree but the killing of human life does not occur in the bedroom.

Joe, must have forgotten the 6th commandment, Thou shall not kill.

Isn't it remarkable that one simple parish priest could suddenly get the commentary open on what moral theology is and that it matters in the lives we live? "Old Joe" should never have been a politician, especially after his dRATS infanticide party has gone all out to murder innocent life from within the womb and after a living birth. A Catholic in good conscience can no longer support the hard left direction being taken, especially when it defies openly "The Ten Commandments". My Father left it sometime after the assassination of President Kennedy and never looked back.
Joe, the Catholic Church will always welcome you inside its churches, but not to share in our sacraments (except the confessional), while you follow your chosen course. That probably means "Extreme Unction (now called Anointing of the Sick)" which we all hope to experience before meeting our Maker. Something to contemplate before it is too late.

Joe Biden found out where the Catholic Church stands on the topic of abortion which Slo-Joe supports.
What I remember and comes to mind (I'm Catholic) is the time when the Clintons then Bill as President with Hillary attended a Catholic mass for a celebration or maybe a funeral and Dollar Bill pranced on up and received Holy Communion. My problem the presiding priest gave it to the thieving, lying, fornicating rat. I was appalled that the priest did that and didn't refuse the low life slug.

I just read yesterday that Biden was refused Holy Communion by a priest during a Mass last Sunday.

Are you surprised that the active politicians mentioned in this article did not respond for comments to this article? Neither was I.

Like any golf club, union, fraternal organization, etc. there are rules that make you a bona fide member. This is a two way street. You need to follow the rules to be a real member and the club needs to hold you to the rules ... whatever they may be! If you're required to attend the monthly meeting or pay monthly dues ... and you don't for a year or two ... then the organization is allowed to say "you're a lapsed member". In addition, they are allowed to deny you the benefits other real members of the club are entitled to. Honestly ... all religions are no different than exclusive clubs! You can pretend that they are different because your soul is involved but they really are very much alike.
The R.C. church has very strict rules (and yes, many find them too strict) and any member who PUBLICLY makes statements that will mislead the faithful or openly practices flagrant behavior that contradicts dogma forces the organization's leaders to ask you to stop ... or else. Denying communion (as in sharing) is a rebuke.
The fact Biden, Cuomo, Pelosi, et al still pretend to be "active" members of the Roman Catholic FAITH is laughable. They may certainly be Christians and believers and even good people at heart ... but they are no longer really members of the R.C. "club".
They should self-excommunicate themselves and find a religion/church where they would be welcomed with open arms. Being true to yourself and your beliefs is important.
When what you believe is in conflict with the religion you were born in, don't ask the religion to change to accommodate you! That was King Henry the VIII's problem and Martin Luther's issue and John Calvin too, etc. Just go elsewhere! And be happy. Jesus will sort it all out later.

Nobody declaring the verdict of anybody's final judgment has even a ruble of credibility, except for God's only begotten Son. Unless you are Jesus Christ, Himself, then stop telling us somebody is going straight to hell. Or point out where Jesus ceded his role of Judge to you.

The Democrats party is the religion of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.
They only tout their Catholicism if it will get them some votes.
For they are no more catholic, than Obama is Christian.
