None dare call it treason. Except for President Donald Trump that is. So says author Doug Wead after interviewing the president for his upcoming book “Inside Trump’s White House: The Real Story of His Presidency.” Of the domestic spy operations conducted on the 2016 Trump presidential campaign by the FBI’s counterintelligence division and the CIA – undoubtedly initiated on the orders of President Obama – Trump told Wead: “What they did… It was treasonous. The interesting thing out of all this is that we caught them spying on the election. They were spying on my campaign.” Oh, yes, treason. Democrats and never-Trump Republicans have waged a relentless campaign against Trump.

Definition of Treason- "the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government"... After President Trump was elected Brennan, Comey, Obama, Clinton, Strzock, Paige, Clapper were trying to overthrow him...so yes it was Treason

"Treason" may have many meanings, but for the United States the crime of treason is specifically defined in the Constitution:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
This does not seem to fit the crimes committed by the Deep State conspirators unless you can define enemies of the United States as the Democrat Party. That may be true but probably would not hold up in court.
Nor does seditious conspiracy seem to fit since it requires the use of force. The Deep State conspirators used fraud, lies and deceit, but not force...yet.
18 U.S.C. § 2384 - U.S. Code - Seditious conspiracy
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
More fitting might be 18 U.S.C. § 371, Conspiracy Against the United States.
The U.S. Department of Justice's United States Attorneys' Manual, summarizing case law on the statute, states that "In summary, those activities which courts have held defraud the United States under 18 U.S.C. § 371 affect the government in at least one of three ways: (1) They cheat the government out of money or property; (2) They interfere or obstruct legitimate Government activity; or (3) They make wrongful use of a governmental instrumentality."

It is abundantly clear that real and heinous crimes were committed against the government and people of the United States. It will be up to real lawyers to decide the appropriate statues and punishments, but IMO justice should be swift and the punishments severe in order to deter any such future attempts.

You better believe that both the DC Congressional “UniParty” and the bureaucratic “Deep State” have passed laws, regulations, and agency policies that all are all in place, to number #1 protect them, and allow them to survive politically and bureaucratically inside the DC beltway, a place that is an entirely different world than the rest of America where the people who actually make the country go reside.

Treason is the accurate term. Will Durham call it so to his grand jury?
