Bad things tend to happen to people who find themselves on Hillary Clinton’s enemies list. Just days after being attacked by Hillary Clinton for being a favorite of the Russians and for allegedly being “groomed” (by Republicans, her spokesman later claimed she meant) to run as a third-party candidate, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced late last night that she will not seek re-election to the House of Representatives (snip) It is an odd coincidence that becoming an official enemy of Hillary Clinton preceded this surprise announcement that offered no new reason for the decision announced on Twitter beyond her desire to serve as president.

I very much doubt that Hillary Clinton has much to do with it. Hillary is past her prime. She can probably barely get out of bed most days. She doesn't have much power anymore. I think Gabbard is probably sickened by what the democrats have become.

She's as upbeat as you might imagine as she contemplates a future with a retirement income that matches her current salary -plus the best benefits our tax dollars can buy. Tulsi is entirely too upbeat to be have a chance as a Democratic candidate for this office. She didn't even say anything negative about our real president. Don't be surprised if she's offered Nicky Haley's old job at the Useless Nations, in the near future.

Tulsi, the silly Samoan, has suggested that she has all sorts of policy insight into foreign relations and military policy due to her military service. She was a medic, then an MP, probably received a direct commission to become an officer. That's not nearly enough to support her resume. And when she had the clear opportunity to agree with DJT, whose Kurd-Turkey-Syria chess move fit perfectly with her position on endless wars and the need to disengage, Tulsi became tongue-tied and punted, during the most recent dreary debate. I suspect that her internal polling showed her to be losing badly to the son of the late House member. Hawaii has a sad history of selecting lousy, repugnant legislators, Mazie coming to mind as the topping for the leprosy isle scum. There is no honor in Hawaii, only bad guitar music, silly neck flowers, and make believe natives. Didn't we learn our lesson with the Kenyan Klown?

All of the senators and representatives should have to resign to run for the presidency. They only work part time while collecting full time pay from taxpayers as it is. They aren't serving their constituents. But neither have the Democrats for the last three years. I enjoyed the Shillary smack down though.

Do you think that it is a coincidence that as soon as the news broke that a criminal investigation of the origins of the surveillance of the Trump campaign was underway, Andrew McCabe withdrew his lawsuit against the Department of Justice and the FBI? It might be sheer random coincidence, of course, but maybe McCabe has bigger fish to fry when it comes to the courts. Roger Luchs offers an interesting perspective: Here’s the interesting question: Did he dismiss it because concluded it’s a loser, especially in light of anticipated indictment – or did he(his attorneys) conclude his suit waived his 5th Amendment rights?

A fascinating look inside Democrats’ deepest fears about 2020 comes from a Bloomberg columnist. Democrats are afraid of President Trump expanding his voting base to people who haven’t voted in recent elections. (snip) what if Trump represents not a last gasp of cultural and racial revanchism but a new wave? What if the trickle of white men who voted for the first time in years in Wisconsin in 2016, despite widespread predictions that Trump’s candidacy was doomed, is followed in 2020 by a wave of previously nonvoting white males who conclude that Trump’s brand of tribal aggression is at last something worth voting for?

By now everyone knows that Mitt Romney used a Twitter account named "Pierre Delecto" to attack President Trump, Newt Gingrich, and others. Further, Pierre defended and praised Mitt. Too bad Pierre was not around to defend Mitt when the Democrats, led by Harry Reid, attacked Mitt for supposedly not paying income taxes, shipping jobs overseas, causing cancer to his employees, being mean to his dog, and so forth. (snip) The good news for non-quisling Republicans is that this should end the career of Pierre/Mitt to be the next John McCain as the go-to-guy whenever the Democrats and the media need a "Republican" to attack President Trump and conservatives.

No, this is not from the Babylon Bee. It actually comes from the Oprah Winfrey Network, and a segment featuring Professor Britney Cooper, who sports a PhD from Emory University and who currently is an associate professor in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University. With that sort of background, perhaps it isn’t surprising to eternalize blame for obesity on racism and seem to indict President Trump for it. (snip) While this is all funny, it is also tragic. Obesity is unhealthy and unhappy to endure. Blaming others doesn’t ever lead to change in a positive direction.

Who could have guessed that the words of Soviet secret police chief Lavrentiy Beria to Joseph Stalin, "Show me the man, and I will show you the crime," would be strangely embodied in American politics and jurisprudence in the 21st century? Moreover, according to Dr. Strangesсhiff — congressman, chairman, and commissar — these wonderful words have recently found their way into the U.S. Constitution. Secret impeachment would seem to be a new idea, but the curious Dr. Strangesсhiff borrowed it from the closed Soviet trials of dissidents, "enemies of the people," and other "undesirable elements." Bravo, comrade Strangesсhiff! Please, continue the Orange Man trial behind closed doors.

When wrongdoing by Democrats is discussed, the media like to call charges against them “conspiracy theories,” implying that crazed partisans are imagining phony connections where none in fact exist. But when people with no visible connection with each other work together in secret to accomplish some goal and then lie about their collaboration, the dreaded word “conspiracy” becomes completely appropriate. And that’s what the charges that Nancy Pelosi tasked Adam Schiff’s House Intelligence Committee (and 5 other House committees) with investigating, with an eye toward impeaching President Trump, now look like.

Here are two unfortunate realities: the first is that whistleblowing becomes virtuous only when a Republican is the one being whistled on; the second is that deep state Democrats have a habit of manipulating whistleblower laws when it suits their purposes. I could write a book -- I’ve written several, in fact -- on whistleblowers the major media chose to ignore. The two examples that follow, one regarding Bill Clinton, the other Barack Obama, should give a sense of how the worms in Washington turn. The first case involves TWA Flight 800, the 747 that inexplicably crashed off the coast of Long Island in July 1996.
