Beto O'Rourke said he would use the criminal code to back up his proposal to confiscate AR-15s and other "weapons of war" from Americans."If we're able to pass mandatory buybacks and I'm able to sign that into law, then I fully expect our fellow Americans to turn in their AR-15s and their AK-47s," the former Texas congressman said in a Thursday CBS News interview when asked if his policy was "too retroactive."O'Rourke continued his answer by saying there would be criminal consequences if people were to "persist" in holding onto their weapons."For anyone who does not and is caught in possession or seen in possession

Has he considered that if they use the Criminal Code against people with AR-15s and the US Constitution that people with AR-14s and the US Constitution will use those in return? All Communist know what Mao taught them: "Power flows through the barrel of a gun".

This week I attended an 'oil-men's chili cookoff' in East Texas - thousands of people in attendance. That was true diversity. Men, women, black, Hispanic, white, and everything in between. One thing in common - all had jobs, mostly in the oil and gas industry, and that out in the field, not the office. The biggest basket of deplorables you'd ever want to see! If there were more than a handful of non-Trump voters, I'd be surprised. It would have scared the swamp-dwellers to death! I saw several of the same t-shirt, and I've got to find one. It said: When Guns Are Outlawed, I'll Be An Outlaw. Beto has NO IDEA the can of worms his words might open. BTW - another t-shirt I saw another one I want to find said was red and had a 'name sticker' printed on it in the same place you'd wear a sticky-back name tag that said " Hello! My Name is ... DEPLORABLE."

I am inspired by the fact that non-talents like O'Rourke are still running for the nomination. Sooner or later they are going to set upon each other - it could happen any day. And when that happens, it will be huge. The current leaders of the pack will be demonized - too many in the race for that not to happen. And as Lady Lucifer peeks her head out of the woods, in an attempt to waddle for president again, it will be great fun to watch what happens.

Nice little fascist wannabe, dull-minded Betaboy. Translating the Greek literally: "Come, take!" If some goon comes into my house to take, forcibly, illegally, and unconstitutionally, my possessions (which I did not buy from the government), it will be the last thing he ever knows or does, and the Framers would agree with me. My invader might get impaled on a spear, or something else equally effective. This is what the Second Amendment is all about: citizens protecting themselves from an out of control, despotic government. Castle doctrine holds. O'Rourke is a despotic character who understands nothing about America or her citizens. I suppose he'll embrace anything no matter how evil if it advances his pathetic political ambitions. He's a fascist.

#23 is wrong about one thing. AK-47s (.30 caliber or 7.62mm) and AK-74s (.223 or 5.56) also come in semiautomatic versions, unlike the (illegal for us) fully automatic weapons carried by military units the world over. I know several hunters and target shooters who have long owned semiauto AKs. They're readily available, and much used by civilians. Not much different, really, from semiauto ARs, which are the most effective self defense weapons, especially at a distance. Even Sen. Graham said that after a natural disaster or widespread civil unrest, he'd use an AR to defend his own property. In the aftermath of the Rodney King trial acquittal of several LA policemen when the city blew up and countless stores were looted and burned, you might remember Korean store owners, not willing to part with their possessions, who guarded their stores and used semiautomatic rifles to keep looters at bay. And it worked, at least for them,.

#16, with due respect you made a huge error in your writing of the 2nd Amendment. The word State is supposed to be Capitalized. No disrespect meant, just a friendly FYI. You may want to look up the definition of the word as it is used here by reading the last paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. One more AK fact for #23: The AK, done properly, is the Israeli Galil, made in automatic and semiautomatic since 1972.

Before President Donald Trump's press conference on Sunday confirming the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakar al-Baghdadi, former National Intelligence Director James Clapper appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" to discuss what he was hoping to hear the president say. One of the biggest things Clapper was interested in was seeing "the contributions the intelligence community made" that lead to al-Baghdadi's death. He admitted "taking down" al-Baghdadi has "huge symbolic meaning," especially because he has been a target for quite some time.

Almost immediately, the left began to downplay and besmirch the death of ISIS leader al Baghdadi. It seems as though they have a problem acknowledging vital victories when doing so reflects positively on President Trump. Democrats and the media have even questioned why Democrats weren't informed of the raid. Nothing was off-limits. Pete Souza, the former official White House photographer under Barack Obama, took to Twitter to suggest that the photos released by the White House of the Situation Room during the raid were staged. The quip among Jewish Republicans about President Obama’s trafficking with anti-Semites was that he was so popular with American Jews that had he nuked Tel Aviv, he would have lost no more than 30% of the Jewish vote. The affinity for American Jews for the Democrat Party has long been a political curiosity. The distinguished essayist Milton Himmelfarb observed that in America, Jews had attained the socioeconomic status of Episcopalians, but for some reason they continued to vote like Puerto Ricans.
