Since late Tuesday the nation has been deafened by media outlets declaring that diplomat William Taylor provided “damning” congressional testimony involving President Trump’s actions toward Ukraine. The New York Times, for example, produced this breathless headline: “Donald Trump’s Quid Pro Quo Is Now a Smoking Gun.” Evidently, the “reporters” responsible for this story failed to read Taylor’s opening statement. It consists almost entirely of hearsay, shows that he wasn’t on the fabled phone call between presidents Trump and Zelensky, and confirms that he was assured by high-ranking Trump administration officials that the president sought no quid pro quo arrangement with Ukraine in exchange for aid:

Well, the impeachment inquiry process was based on a lie. Democrats reacted impulsively and immaturely and now have to find something or someone that will back them up. It is difficult when the truth keeps getting in their face.

The transcript of the call has been released. We can judge for ourselves. All this hearsay “evidence” is manipulative and insulting.

Several days ago I conducted my own little experiment. I got my news from ONLY CNN, MSNBC, the alphabets, the WaPo, and the NYTimes. At the end of the day, I was completely convinced that Trump needs to be impeached and that Taylor's testimony was the proof that there was quid pro quo and the final nail in Trump's coffin.
Of course, I knew better...but the point is that if ½ of the country gets their "news" ONLY from these sources it's easy to see whyt they think anyone defending Trump must be a fringe nutcase. The problem is NOT what the MSM reports, but rather what they WITHHOLD, that is INTENTIONALLY distorting the news.
They don't respond to logic, though. So the best way to bring this to the public's attention is to use the liberals' favorite words AGAINST them. At every opportunity, we should be mentioning their SHAMEFUL, HATEFUL, and INTOLERANT journalistic practices.

First the Dems lie about what they're going to say then they put them under oath and try to coerce them to lie and they won't, further embarrassing Comrade Schiff and his Star Chamber. It really must really suck being a card-carrying Demonrat in America today with the Internet. Sixty years ago they'd have gotten away with this evil injustice.

#5, talk show host Chris Plante puts it this way...
The most insidious power that the media has is the power to ignore.

Taylor’s name had already been mentioned as possibly working with the rumorblower if not being the rumorblower...

It's a mistake to base Trump's defense on the argument that there was no quid pro quo. By doing so, we grant that a quid pro quo would have been wrong. But Trump voters are citizens too, and we have a right to have our interests addressed by the man we elected fair and square. We want to know what Biden was up to in this clearly suspicious incident, and Trump is serving our interests when he tries to find out. Obviously, the Left won't be of any help, that's why we have a two-party system. And if it took a threat of withholding a gift to help persuade Ukraine to cooperate, then so be it. It would have been a legitimate tool in a legitimate inquiry.
It's true that the plain language of the transcript does not show a quid pro quo for the Biden thing. That's fine. But "quid pro quo" is like "obstruction of justice", it can be subtle, and they can conjure it up if they try to.

Has Taylor resigned yet? He is not the author of our foreign policy, despite what he seems to think. His statement is filled with his "impressions," and his views on what US policy towards Ukraine should be. He mentions what others told him about John Bolton's reaction to the Ukraine situation. Has Bolton been called to testify yet? What he does confirm is that Ukraine did not know the funds had been withheld until August 27, 2019, long after the phone call. They were released on September 11, with none of the alleged demands by Trump or his associates having been agreed to. So where is the quid pro quo? You know how they say you don't want to know how sausage and legislation are made? The same thing appears to apply to foreign policy. In the end, we supported Ukraine unequivocally--long before anyone aired any grievances publicly. Isn't that what Taylor wanted?
