Democrats' 'Immigrants First' Policy

President Donald Trump's key immigration rule change, to discourage immigrants from relying on public health programs, food stamps, housing assistance and other welfare, got derailed on Friday by three federal judges. Their decisions, blocking Trump's rule from going into effect, are wins for Democrats and immigration lobbyists. America's poor are the losers. Our country needs to take care of its own needy first. Trump's proposed rule would make it harder for immigrants who use welfare to qualify for green cards and permanent residence, and it would give preference to immigrants who fend for themselves.

Sometimes there can be legal issues that can thwart Trump initiatives which can be reworded or reworked to correct. Other times, the judges seem to be just part of the coup.

Not to worry. Once the democratic socialist/communist get into office we will all be dancing in the streets and thanking them for all the "free" goodies. s/o

That should read Illegal Immigrants First because those who come the legal route have sponsors who must assume financial responsibility for the individual for ten years. This Democrat devotion to illegals is so unfair to those who follow the law. How can they think this is a winning strategy with so many Americans affected by a mass of illegals in their neighborhoods and schools?

I try to tell others that my immigrant parents, who became naturalized citizens. would never think of applying for welfare (and I am not talking about hardship cases). You just worked your butt off to survive, with a full-time job and another job on the weekends. I have no argument with anyone who tells me that immigrants work hard; I know all abut it. But except for an occasional ten-dollar money order that was sent home for Christmas, there never was any monies left over for their family back home.. Truth be told, and it was told in a recent book, the amount of monies sent back now by some of our country's immigrants is enormous and runs in the BILLIONS of dollars. If you are paying for rent and food and healthcare, you just do not have that kind of money left over to gift your family in your native land. Unlike my parents, they might have that extra money to send to their native countries because they are having their homes and healthcare and food and schooling subsidized by our totally in-debt government. Democrats are cheapening what citizenship means in our country. They've put it up for sale.

Poll: Iowa caucuses are 'up for grabs'

It's a new three-way race in Iowa. Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, who was initially seen as a long-shot presidential contender, has surged within striking distance of former vice president Joe Biden and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren in the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses, a Suffolk University/USA TODAY Poll finds. Biden, long viewed as the Democratic frontrunner, is faltering in the wake of a debate performance last week that those surveyed saw as disappointing. The poll, taken Wednesday through Friday, put Biden at 18%, Warren at 17% and Buttigieg at 13% among 500 likely Democratic caucusgoers. Those standings reflect significant changes

Earlier this year an anonymous threat forced a D.C. theater to cancel a production of “FBI Lovebirds: UnderCovers.” The play, produced by Phelim McAleer, featured a reading of texts from disgraced FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Strzok. The two are enmeshed in the Russia collusion hoax that kept the country hostage for north of two years. An element of the Left, fearful the play’s message would get out to the masses, threatened violence against the theater in question. The theater’s management opted to cancel its contract to host the play. Team McAleer was able to find another venue, but it still sent a chill through the theatrical community

Ronan Farrow’s new book “Catch and Kill” reveals new allegations of sexual misconduct against NBC News chief Andrew Lack, whom Farrow also accused of spiking his Harvey Weinstein story while at NBC. At the height of the Me Too movement in 2017, men in powerful positions were black-balled, fired, and excommunicated at the mere mention of an allegation, even without corroborating evidence. But unlike those men, Lack’s employer is standing behind him, and he’s refusing to go anywhere.

In a week when Republican anger over President Trump’s foreign policy managed to supplant the Democrats’ impeachment push in top news headlines, Trump sought refuge in a state that looks and feels just about as different as can be from Washington, D.C. Trump made the 12th visit to Texas of his presidency, basking Thursday night in the adulation of sign-waving supporters who formed a sea of red “Make America Great Again” hats sprinkled with white “Trump 2020” ten-gallons. “I’m thrilled to be here deep in the heart of Texas,” the president told the roaring, 20,000-strong crowd at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Psychodrama Of the Press

We are living through a phantasmagoric psychodrama generated by the dishonest national political press. This is the press whose Joe Scarborough of MSNBC did not show some of President Trump’s responses to his enemies because of “concern” for the president’s family, as he “seems to have lost his mind.” This is a new frontier in American journalism, where a television news commentator who hates the president wishes to spare the president’s family a rerun of his entirely rational denunciations of his enemies. The House of Representatives began considering impeachment because an anonymous Democrat and former political associate of Vice President Biden received a hearsay account of a conversation

Anonymous accusations have been regarded with suspicion by honorable leaders for at least two millennia. Even the Romans rejected the use of such allegations against Christians. Indeed, the Emperor Trajan explicitly admonished one of his provincial governors against doing so: “Anonymously posted accusations ought to have no place in any prosecution. For this is both a dangerous kind of precedent and out of keeping with the spirit of our age.” The Democrats of our era aren’t troubled by such scruples, it would seem. In fact, they have used just such an accusation as the pretext for their “impeachment inquiry,” and it is indeed dangerous.

"A woman whose dreams of motherhood now taste bittersweet, because of what I know about our children's future," she added, apparently choking back tears. She was giving her keynote address at the C40 World Mayors Summit which recently approved a global version of her "Green New Deal."

The fictional setting for National Lampoon’s Animal House (1978) is mythical Faber College, in 1962. A largely traditional small college set in suburbia, near a small town, staid Faber is turned upside down by the raucous, party-crazy students at Delta fraternity. They perpetrate outrageous stunts, scoring with the ladies whilst scorning their studies. In response, the Dean and his right-wing troglodyte stooges scheme to expel the miscreants. They succeed, only to see the Deltas uproariously turn the tables on them during the nearby town’s annual parade. A savage satire, blending social mores, politics, and college-life hijinks, the film remains a baby boomer classic.

Notes of Rudolph Giuliani's interviews with two former Ukrainian prosecutors include one's allegation that then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko warned him against investigating energy firm Burisma Holdings “as it was not in the interest of Joe and/or Hunter Biden.” The prosecutor was later fired, under what President Trump says was pressure from Vice President Biden. His son Hunter had a lucrative role on the Burisma board. The notes were published by a Ukrainian news site, and their authenticity was confirmed by Giuliani, President Trump's personal lawyer, and by a second source who has seen the originals and who declined to be identified.

We have several developments regarding Pelosi’s star chamber impeachment polka: first off, the feckless Trey Gowdy has joined the president’s legal team. This is not confidence-inspiring. Trump should have hired Lionel Hutz or Unfrozen Cave Man Lawyer rather than Gowdy. We all remember what a bang up job Gowdy did on Benghazi. The Democrats face an insurmountable obstacle in their ongoing quest to oust the president. Trump himself succinctly captured their dilemma last Friday: “Unemployment Rate, at 3.5%, drops to a 50 YEAR LOW. Wow America, lets impeach your President.” Numerous polls purport to show increased public support for impeachment, yet Trump clearly doesn’t take them seriously. He knows the voters will make the final call. If the House impeaches him, the chances of a Senate conviction are nil. Thus, the president’s fate will be decided in November 2020. Will the voters support an impeached president? If the economy remains strong, he’ll win in a landslide.

Operating a bare-bones account with the handle, “@qaws9876,” the user’s limited activity only revealed an interest in politics — namely supporting Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah). So when “Pierre Delecto” started trending Sunday on the social media platform, people were understandably confused. “Why are we talking about Pierre Delecto,” one person asked. “WTH is a Pierre Delecto & why is everyone going crazy about it?” another wanted to know. On Sunday, Twitter users lost their collective minds when they learned that “Pierre Delecto” wasn’t a bot or a random Romney superfan,

I want my vote back, Mitt. Give me back my vote. In 2012, I voted for this insufferable establishment icon, this inept goof who the Democrats wish every Republican would emulate. Some nights, I wake up sweating and screaming when I relive it in my nightmares. I should have taken my ballot, lit it on fire and flushed it down the Schiffhole. But Romney does serve a purpose, as hard as that is to see through his pathetic antics. His perpetual groveling for approval – including, hilariously, from Donald Trump himself who just broke him right in front of our eyes over the Secretary of State gig – is so shameful

No, this is not from the Babylon Bee. It actually comes from the Oprah Winfrey Network, and a segment featuring Professor Britney Cooper, who sports a PhD from Emory University and who currently is an associate professor in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University. With that sort of background, perhaps it isn’t surprising to eternalize blame for obesity on racism and seem to indict President Trump for it. (snip) While this is all funny, it is also tragic. Obesity is unhealthy and unhappy to endure. Blaming others doesn’t ever lead to change in a positive direction.
