House Democrats’ top impeachment inquisitor abruptly changed from repeatedly insisting on the testimony of a whistleblower against President Donald Trump to working to prevent it. The change occurred as soon as it was revealed the complainant had secretly worked with Rep. Adam Schiff’s Democratic staff prior to filing his formal complaint on Aug. 12.
At first, Schiff insisted an anti-Trump bureaucrat sharing allegations against the president must share his story with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. But after news broke that Schiff’s staff had secretly worked with the whistleblower prior to the complaint being lodged, discussions that the whistleblower failed to mention when specifically asked

This clown court is becoming a nuisance. Everyday I can see a desperate little man named Adam Schiff.

So, either he has a Whistleblower, or he doesn't. If it's the latter, he needs to close up shop! I think the government needs to stop letting their people testify before Schiff's committee. He's just looking for a crime. He doesn't HAVE one. Time to shut him down! This charade has gone on long enough!

It is perfectly obvious what Schiff and Pelosi are doing. More manufactured charges, more lies, more persecution of President Trump, total disrespect toward the voters. And there is not a damned thing the Republicans can do to stop it. They can only do their best to expose it and hope enough voters are smart enough to get it and re-elect the President. Pray for it.

As soon as it was discovered that Schifferbrains had colluded with the”whistle blower” the whole dog and pony show should have been shut down and Adam should have been brought up on charges of treason for his 2nd attempted coup.
Sometimes I think that Schifferbrains IS the whistleblower and he manufactured the charges just as he swore that he had evidence of PDT’s Russian collusion. Neither of which has been shown to the American people.

This whole episode --- where Nancy Pelosi decides to flaunt the precedent of the three prior Impeachment Investigations generated by the House (Andrew Johnson, Richard Nixon, Billy Clinton) --- and chooses Adam Schiff (a man with an earned reputation for dishonesty) to lead the coup attempt by presiding over a modern star chamber is scandalous and totally insupportable.
If the dems truly believed that Trump had committed an impeachable offense, they would have held the vote and conducted the political inquiry (it is NOT a criminal process, so the comparisons to the Grand Jury secrecy provisions are total BS) in PUBLIC. That Schiff has pursued this path in secret is repulsive and contrary to any concept of justice, not just for the POTUS, but for the citizens of this Constitutional Republic.
Pelosi, Schiff, and all who support this travesty are interested in only one result, the removal of the Constitutionally elected POTUS (and, failing that, insuring that he is not re-elected). That they would so flagrantly abuse the public trust that they have received by their elections demonstrates why they should never be allowed to have power over us ever again.

Besides going down in history as the first female Speaker, Nancy Pelosi will also go down as probably the worst one in the history of the House, thanks to her arrogance and refusal to embrace reality. She is allowing corruption on a massive scale right now, and she needs to be held accountable for it. The whole party does.

Adam Schiff is a Hollywood screenwriter wannabee on the side. This is true and he thinks he's very talented in writing up scenarios and dialogue. The made up version of the Trump's conversation with Ukraine's Zelensky is so off the charts and doesn't sound one iota like President Trump. He obviously has a criminal mind to blatantly falsify and forge the words of our president to congress. If he can do that, what else would he do? I hope he pays dearly for this stunt to that President Trump sues him for everything he has. Let's not forget who his sister is married to...George Soros' son.

Schiff has the little ugly man syndrome but lacks the intelligence or talent to make it impressive or successful.

Oh, dear, dear - - if only this were the Soviet Union - - Schiff could be Lavrenty Beria. "Show me the man - - and I'll find you the crime."
Of course - - Beria wound up with a bullet through his brain - - something Schiff need never worry about.

I'm with a previous poster that Schiff is whistleblower #1 and whistleblower #2. He concocted the conversion which didn't happen like he scripted it then read it to the Committee and all the American people that should have been the last straw for perjury. The pencil neck geek believes in his own mind that he's 'clever' when he comes off as dumb as a box of rocks.

What is it with the Speaker of the House position?
First there was fifth column Paul Ryan and now demented hater Nancy Pelosi.
What did we do to deserve these two reprobates?

As the article states, the only reason that Schiff gets to run this intelligence committee probe is that the whistleblower used to be in intelligence and talked to people working for intelligence agencies. If there is no whistleblower, and the transcript is released, there is no tie to intelligence. The only logical committee to lead such a probe is the judicial committee. Democrats don't want that because while the courts try to stay out of intelligence investigations, they would slap down any shenanigans like this in the judicial committee.
