Move the summit, Mr. President

President Trump is 100% right to note that Hunter Biden profited massively off his father’s high government position: Even if none of it was ever illegal, it’s still wrong.
So why can’t the president see the problem with having next June’s G-7 summit at the Trump National in Doral, Florida?
It doesn’t matter if the resort only charges cost, as acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney vowed Thursday — or if it’s “by far and away the best physical location.” It’s still wrong.
Even if the place is absolutely perfect — so good that it will have other world leaders backing Washington’s position on everything — it’s still the president’s resort.

Love me some Donald but this one seems a tad masochistic.
Doesn't appear to pass the risk/reward ratio test.
Still gatta admire the brass balls of this guy.
Reminds me of the Clinton habit of 'flooding the field' with chaos as a distraction.
KAG !

Move it, Mr. President. There is nothing to be gained by handing more fodder to your enemies. This is a self-inflicted error.

Perhaps President Trump wants to show the swamp creatures, the media, and all of the others who see government employment as a path to wealth, that wealth can actually be acquired without the pay for play that attaches to government employment. He is the first billionaire to live in the White House, and isn't ashamed of it. He takes no salary, and has no doubt seen his level of wealth decrease while serving in office. Some people are so used to day to day corruption in government that they take this opportunity to assign it to the president, when he is doing everyone a favor but himself. Heck, he even golfs on his own golf courses rather than disrupt the play of our military personnel. Besides, the Doral is probably much nicer than Camp David.

If Donald Trump was collecting a salary, I think this would be questionable but he isn't. All he is asking for is cost and he might be giving them a deal. Given that, they would have to pay cost at another facility. He is not profiting from this venture.

For all you panty twists: you're seriously going to fret about this (from which he is legally separated) and ignore the $6B missing from Cankles State Dept? And the Ukrain ATM (open evidently for everyone that's a 'D')
Grow up!

Nuts to moving. How many individuals in Congress and Government in general have INTERESTS in activities and operations that bring in money to them and their families.
How do they get to be millionaires on their wages ? It is impossible. They get wealthy by their side gigs, funneling $ to family or other interests by passing legislation that heps them, and insider stock market trading. Just look at what Joe Biden did while VP.

I read somewhere that when the government uses anything Trump, government gets a check for anything over cost. Sounds okay to me.

The left and many RINO's do not really respect success in the private sector--because none of them have ever worked there.

This is what I was looking forward to, the fun part of a Trump presidency. Like that 757 with his name painted across it. Trump deserves the satisfaction of flashing his wealth and hosting all these dignitaries at one of his showcase properties. Not to mention poking his critics. They hate it, of course, and they do have kind of a point, but so what? The wrongness of it is trivial, and the rightness of it is just so right.
