RUSH: Folks, there’s an overriding problem here. I’ve talked about it a number of times over the course of many, many broadcasts on the EIB Network. And every time I bring it up there’s a little inner voice, “Rush, don’t make too big a deal about this because this is something that every adult generation has thought or has felt when they look at the worthless and useless younger generations.” I’m just kidding.
And then there’s another voice says, “No, Rush, this is worse than the normal pattern. What I’m talking about is the degree of maleducation.” LeBron James is a classic example of just sheer uneducation

LeBron, since you think communism is okay, please pack up you and your family and move to China or Russia.

Did LeBron dare go down and listen to any of the protestors for freedom to find out why they are risking their lives by protesting the Communists? Has he ever studied history to find out what Communism really is? I don't think so. He just spoke from his pocketbook. How much is enough, LeBron to make you sell out your country?

If wisdom comes only from God, where do you get yours? You can always tell when someone is leaning on their own understanding. Sounds like LeBron James falls into that category.

Rush, I remember when they stopped teaching Civics in school, because it was simply indoctrination, and we were a better country than that.
The communist apologists who pushed that didnt stop their propaganda, nor did they cease pushing 'Free Love', 'Tolerance(of me, not me of you), and modern government economics (which if you or I used, would end us up in jail or on the street(.

Agree about educating our children to accept this scurrilous agenda. However, we are Americans and we must teach our history to our children. We cannot allow others to shape their thinking. Current events must be discussed at home and we have to impart the history of this great country to our kids. It is our job to instruct them before the wackos get their chance. Never leave something this important up to someone else. I am sorry I rant about this but we really must take responsibility for what our children learn. Sure, they are going to be challenged, but they will at least have a foundation that won’t be so easily replaced by the fairness that socialism promises but never delivers. Instill love pride and history into your kids or someone else will. Same goes for religion. Rant off.

I am no sports enthusiast, but I was trying to get any station on my car radio, and my scanner rested upon a sports program, and I left it on because it sounded interesting. They were talking about the coach who had the audacity to give a shout-out to the demonstrators for democracy in Hong Kong. The contributors spoke about what a great coach and teacher he is in this highly competitive sport. I gathered that because of his fine education (Northwestern and MIT - maybe physics or mathematics or whatever) that he has taught his players special skills in the art of throwing and making baskets and playing which made them winners, and that would mean better contracts for them with higher salaries. And so, whatever skills he was teaching his men would benefit everyone in the sport - "a rising tide". Anyway, this man has contributed an awful lot to basketball (I would think a lot more than China when you exclude monies involved.).
But a common theme we hear today is the notion of "white supremacy" or "white privilege", and if you think it through (poor old Christopher - which means Christ-bearer - Columbus), we should try to recognize that if someone is good at what he does, it does not necessarily mean that it has anything t do with the color of his skin, but rather a lot to do with hard work and time spent learning the trade.
Anyway, in some respects LeBron has set the whole "white privilege" premise back years.
(and if I got my facts wrong, I apologize. I really do not know that much about sports, so I hope I got it pretty close)

Yes, hell yes. When we began to grasp the evils of communism in the mid twentieth century they responded with the grandest propaganda campaign in human history. The next time someone invokes the term "McCarthyism" ask them what they thought of the Venona papers and watch the deer in the headlights blank stare.
I cannot recommend strongly enough that you read Diana West's "American Betrayal." The read her sources, particularly Whitaker Chamber's "Witness", read the criticism's of her work and read her rebuttal. Everything make sense.

Athletes on scholarships have no need to attend classes as long as they can keep throwing a ball through a hoop or can run with one like a boy stealing a watermelon. This is almost as laughable as a Hollyweird claiming to have a college education when all they were taught was how to memorize lines and maybe dance a few steps. LeBron would have been much better off just keeping his mouth shut. People tolerate those who can perform up to a certain extent but we never think of them as smart or productive.

Rush is right about the maleducated of this nation. Most of those sports stars were valued more for what they could bring to their schools in terms of monies made from the televised sports than they were as youth getting an education. OJ Simpson is a classic example. He graduated from one of the big Ivies in Cali while being functionally illiterate.
Parents could change this on the local level if somehow Trump could eliminate tenure for the K-12 school systems in this country. Then parents could clean the rot out of their districts and get decent teachers in there who actually do the job, not indoctrinate. The other choice would be to home school our kids. That would give them a better education, and protect them from the Leftist perversion known as the teaching profession.

Not long ago I asked a young person who was wearing several Nike prominently branded items (shoes, hat, shirt), why he wasn't asking Nike to pay him for advertising their sweat-house produced sh*t, and instead he pays them large amounts of money so they can pay already obscenely rich celebrity athletes that care not a whit about him. He looked at me with that vacant look that only those educated in our public schools can have. In my opinion, anyone who flaunts branded clothes is an idiot.

When I was in HS we had a course called "Americanism vrsus Communism". One of the books we read was Orwells Animal Farm. It was convincing, but most of the brighter kids already knew much of the truth. But of course, no courses like that are permitted any more, I am sure.
