The woman who lied about having Cherokee heritage in order to get ahead in her career has a message for Americans on "Indigenous Peoples' Day." We must fulfill our trust and treaty obligations to Tribal Nations. We must protect Tribal sovereignty and self-determination. And we have to go even further to empower indigenous peoples to build stronger communities and a brighter future. https://t.co/WKMjPKTvDu — Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) October 14, 2019 That's right, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren is back on her high-horse about Native American communities after spending most of her life engaging in cultural appropriation. How could we forget:

Why must WE go further to help indigenous people? It's America, land of opportunity, and land of individual freedom, and individual responsibility. So, how about indigenous people helping themselves? Indigenous people will be much happier without the Democrats.

Definition of indigenous "originating or occurring naturally in a particular place". What that means is the only land mass in the world with indigenous people is Africa. Native Americans may have come here first but, they are not indigenous.

I am an Indigenous Red Neck. So part of me is a Redskin. But I ain't no Injun. One thing rarely discussed in some circles is that some of the Injuns who were forced to move from The East to The West in Andrew Jackson's Indian Removal Act had adopted European ways. They dressed like the white folks and some of them owned black slaves. The black folks had to go on the Trail of Tears along with the Injuns. Today they are known as the Black Cherokees. So if the dims take over they will hit the jackpot. Not only Reparations for Slavery but Compensation with Wampum for stolen land. The only good thing about Screeching Squaw taking over is you could go to your grandparents hope chest and get out their old Impeach Earl Warren bumber stickers and put a picture of Granny Clampett with a turkey feather in her hair over Earl.

My neighborhood in Shreveport, Louisiana, is a perfect example of the income inequality, poverty, and legacy of racism that fuel so much political discussion today. Historically, Allendale was known as the “Bottoms,” the black side of town in the Jim Crow South, crowded with shotgun shacks and separate and unequal schools. Fannin Street, once a commercial strip with bars and brothels, was the name of a pounding Leadbelly song; it’s just a few blocks from where my husband Emmitt and I live today, where we mentor neighborhood kids. Allendale was poor and black a century ago, and remains so. Census numbers tell the story: 31 percent

STOCKHOLM – Twenty prisoners live in one small room. They are handcuffed, their heads shaved, every move is monitored by ceiling cameras. A bucket in the corner of the room is their toilet. The daily routine begins at 6 A.M. They are learning Chinese, memorizing propaganda songs and confessing to invented sins. They range in age from teenagers to elderly. Their meals are meager: cloudy soup and a slice of bread. Torture – metal nails, fingernails pulled out, electric shocks – takes place in the “black room.” Punishment is a constant. The prisoners are forced to take pills and get injections.

President Trump is 100% right to note that Hunter Biden profited massively off his father’s high government position: Even if none of it was ever illegal, it’s still wrong. So why can’t the president see the problem with having next June’s G-7 summit at the Trump National in Doral, Florida? It doesn’t matter if the resort only charges cost, as acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney vowed Thursday — or if it’s “by far and away the best physical location.” It’s still wrong. Even if the place is absolutely perfect — so good that it will have other world leaders backing Washington’s position on everything — it’s still the president’s resort.

A major southern California fault capable of producing a magnitude 8 temblor started to move for the first time in 500 years following a series of earthquakes in the Mojave Desert over the summer, according to a new study published Thursday in the journal Science. The study by geophysicists from the California Institute of Technology and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory found that the Garlock Fault—which runs east to west for 185 miles from the San Andreas Fault to Death Valley—has slipped .8 inches since July. This is the first movement documented on the fault in the modern historical record.

Just hours after President Trump announced a cease-fire between Turkish and Kurdish-led forces in Syria, journalists have reported continued fighting in the Syrian town of Ras al-Ayn on Friday morning, while other areas have reported relative calm since the agreement. Journalists from the Associated Press reported witnessing shelling and said they could see smoke billowing around the town, which sits along the border with Turkey. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor, reported intermittent clashes in Ras al-Ayn, but calm elsewhere. Reuters also reported machine-gun fire and shelling that could be heard from a border town in Turkey near Ra al-Ayn.

I once heard Jonah Goldberg talk about a book in which multiple conservative and multiple liberal authors were asked to write whatever they wanted to about politics and political theory. As Goldberg told the story (or at least as I remember it), the conservative authors collectively presented an array of theoretical musings (libertarian, social conservative, natural law based, etc.). The liberal authors all wrote about how Democrats could win the next election. The Supreme Court is little bit like that. The liberal Justices march basically in lockstep towards whatever result serves liberalism. The conservative Justices seem less single-minded. Most have quirks or hobby horses that cause them,

Volker denied that was the case, noting that Ukrainian leaders did not even know the aid was being withheld and that they believed their relationship with the U.S. was moving along satisfactorily, without them having done anything Trump mentioned in his notorious July 25 phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Say what you want about the Trump kids, none of them have been found with a crack pipe on them. The same can’t be said for Hunter Biden. I picked up the New York Post yesterday morning and found an informative reprint from The Intercept by Ryan Grim, who details Hunter’s dirtbaggery, including this revealing tidbit: “One particularly out-of-control bender, which included a crack pipe found in a rental car, took place while Biden was making $50,000 a month serving on the board of [the Ukrainian company] Burisma.” Therein lies one of the obvious motives for his shameless cashing in on his last name. Elizabeth Warren's stubborn dishonesty

Sen. Elizabeth Warren deservedly drew heat from several rivals over her stubborn refusal to acknowledge that implementing a $32 trillion plan to provide free health insurance to everybody would require increasing middle-class taxes. But since she keeps trying to make the same bad argument, it's worth reviewing what's so dishonest about it. Warren, whenever she's asked about whether middle-class taxes would go up, argues that costs would only go up for corporations and the wealthy, but "costs would go down for the middle class." Essentially, she's trying to make the case that because middle-class Americans would be getting free healthcare, their costs would go down overall.

Why did it bring on a 44-year-old lawyer who had no experience with Ukraine or natural gas — but happened to be the son of the US vice president who was serving as administration point man on Ukraine? “I think I had as much experience as anybody else on the board …

President Trump faced criticism on social media and from journalists after claiming the United States has a "shared political and cultural history" with Italy because of ancient Rome. During a press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Trump noted that Italy and the U.S. are bound together through shared ties to the ancient city, saying, "The United States and Italy are bound together by a shared cultural and political heritage dating back thousands of years to ancient Rome." The Founding Fathers of the U.S. had a well-documented affinity for the Roman republic, evidence of which is prevalent in American representative government and civic architecture.

He also floated a theory about how Trump arrived at the decision: that he got bullied into it by Turkey and that he backed down.
