Rates of syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia infection have continued to rise, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
Both total numbers of infections and per capita rates of the three STDs continued their more-or-less uninterrupted climb since the turn of the millennium. In total, rates of infection are at their highest level since the CDC began tracking chlamydia infections in 1984. Not all of this increase is attributable to an actual bump in the number of individuals infected. The CDC counts the number of positive tests reported to it by states, a figure which necessarily also increases as testing becomes more commonplace. Similar changes in the data can be caused by

There have a case or two in the high school I work at... it was all the drama amongst the girls..
Mostly the girls were saying said girl ‘never said No’... and did it with anyone.. sooooooo who did young lady get it from? Hard to say.. But, unprotected sex- birth control pills don’t count- will get a person with multiple partners in trouble! Gay or straight!
We have so many in the Gen z or millennials that have ZERO delay of gratification... this would factor into Clap trending up ..

Obolacare provided free birth control pills (I call them promiscuity pills or coitus capsules) which, for most women, eliminated a demand that the male use a condom.
If people cannot see the connection between birth control pills, promiscuity, and STDs, I scoff at their denseness.
Male homosexuals are an entirely different matter. Multiple sex partners, for a segment of the male homosexual population, along with sex with strangers, is baked into that part of the alphabet cake.
In 1989, Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes, who offered commentary in the final minute of the show, said that 'it was difficult to fret about AIDS when the victims could avoid it by modifying their personal behavior. (I paraphrased his comment) Andy Rooney was suspended by CBS, and forced to do an on-air apology.
That ended any rational discussion of AIDS.

Is this one of the fine gifts from our southern border that will keep on giving? Or was it brought over from the eastern places? We had it cured, once.

This is one of those conditions that individuals and communities earn by casting aside and deriding the commandments of God. People insist upon sexual freedom and the consequences b damned. I’m glad to be in our 47th year of marriage and neither of us has ever had to worry about STD’s devastation. Call us old-fashioned and puritanical, and then ask who is really free. We are not alone in this. We know many are in our same circumstance. The sexual mores of our world are the true environmental pollution of life

There is a culture of indiscriminately “hooking up” on our college campuses which could contribute to the rise in socially transmitted diseases.

#4, Andy Rooney should have thrown in heterosexual behavior there, too.
No kind of people--- gay, straight, men, women, or any the 57 genders --- were designed to have multiple sexual partners. Spiritually, emotionally, socially and microbiologically --- in terms of managing our interior microherds of viruses and bacteria --- it just always ends up badly, either for yourself personally, or for society as a whole.
Your life is not governed by an imperious horniness mandate. Ditch the sexual adventurism. Find someone you can spend your life with. Get married. Bless your marriage bed with lots and lots of love. Thank God for the way it's supposed to be.

Interesting data and maps of STDs as a whole plus individually. States, state rankings… There may be some surprises…

It is called liberalism. Devoid yourself of anything about God; yet, the best information we can receive is from the Bible. I believe it is in Ecclesiastes that Solomon uses the phrase, "chasing after the wind" and liberalism runs parallel with the sentiment. Liberalism wants it all without any barriers. Fortunately, there are natural barriers for this pursuit of anything and everything. It really does become a chasing after the wind.

Knew it had to be there somewhere "vulnerable communities" It was in the third paragraph from the bottom.
No, it's about poor choices and instant gratification. Don't think it doesn't happen everywhere including senior communities. Going from crack babies to clap babies for grandma to take care of.
