Who knew there were so many ignorant people in the world? In 2006, I watched a comedy called Idiocracy about our country becoming so dumb thanks to cultural influences that a man with average intelligence is regarded as a genius after awakening from an induced hibernation for 5 centuries. This past month looking at the worldwide Children Climate Crusade protests, I fear that film is coming into reality. All around the world, thousands of indoctrinated and misguided children of the corn skipped school to carry signs warning about the danger of weather,

Many so-called 'dumb' people hibernate in front of the MSM outlets and have little to no idea of factual NEWS.
If all YOU watched was MSNBC , you would have no idea that you were being fed partisan propaganda that is contrary to the truth.

I watched this really pretty bad movie several years ago, and instantly thought it was a parody of what is happening to our Country. Gatoraide has got to be good for the crops, because it has electrolytes! It's a ridiculous movie, often offensive, and certainly not Politically correct. I bought the CD!

"See how appealing that message is"
Yes, if it were true. It NEVER is. In fact, the results of Communism is always disastrous.
In truth, NO state is EVER beneficent by consistent nature. No one can give a single reason why it should be. The "state" is composed of people and those people are subject to human nature and no matter how much we would wish it were otherwise, human nature is unreliable and dangerous, especially in those seeking power. The state is powerful and in charge of "all". Sure, some individuals may have good intentions. But how many times in history have we found that those "good intentions" are completely misguided or evil. Even evil leaders promise their people beneficial things. Again, if there is no reason to be assured that an individual WILL be good and the outcome of their actions beneficial, how very much LESS can we expect the State to be good and its actions beneficial.
In this Country, the founders mostly FEARED the power of the State. They created three co-equal branches of government to force the corruptive power of the state to fight against itself instead of its people. Cleverly, the proponents of centralized power created political parties to unify the government's actions across the government. Elect a president, Congress, and appoint judges of one party and you create a unified State. As noted in the article, get control of media, "education", etc. as well. However, We the People are the flaw in that plan. When the State gets too ugly, the People change things up. The hysterical squalling we are going through is the State furious at being pushed aside by the People. Elements of the State have been working for decades toward Control. When BO was elected, they thought they had won. Hillary was supposed to seal the deal. But those voters ...
Ask yourself, who besides YOURSELF is most capable of knowing and looking out for your interests? Family and friends? Likely. Local organizations you affiliate with? Probably. Your place of employment? Sometimes. Local government? When pressured. State government? Only when pushed by an organized group. Federal government? Only under extreme pressure. Yourself? By definition, YES.
WHY would you trust your interests to a remote State that doesn't know you and has no need or controlling interest to care about you? Why would you decree on them a level of trust and caring that is demonstrably undeserved? Why would you assign them any more power than absolutely required?
People that do so are more than dumbed down. They are dangerously foolish and irresponsible. The next thing you know, they will be running around in silly pink hats.

Why? Clearly the blame falls first on the US education system, which has intentionally dumbed down the curriculum. When a certifiable idiot like AOC is coming out of a major university with a degree, you know standards have sunk to all-time lows.

It started with education which has become indoctrination. Indoctrination now runs from kindergarten through college. Now, many of the teachers, "fake news" reporters and politicians are a product of this system. The MSM reinforces the indoctrination. News reporter used to question and verify what they reported. They were required to think. Today, "news" reporters regurgitating the same talking points. They are either too lazy or incapable of inquisitive thinking. Many of our politicians are the same way. Just look at AOC.

Where do democrats come frome? Especially the left?
Do they start life as conservatives and have an epiphany one day and suddenly become a fanatical communist? Or do they start that way at birth, born with a leftist gene?
I think not - they are born neutral - but through neglect and indocrination they emerge from government schools thinking (which is generous) the left viewpoint is the only way to coexist on this planet. In otherwords, they are indoctrinated by their environment, teachers and family.
Until correct thinking adults grab hold of the education system in the US, we are doomed to see a continuing death march towards obliteration of our constitution and values. It starts with the children.

Last night I watched an American Thought Leaders You Tube presentation on Michael Rectenwald, a scholar and former professor at NYU on this subject and the state of our country. His new book Google Archipelago,The Digital Gulag and the Simulation of Freedom, spells out everything what has evolved in this country. I recommend you listen to this compelling You Tube interview.

"Dumbed-down" isn't an accident, it's an orchestrated leftist plan to dominate the rest of us. A dumbed-down electorate votes exactly the way the left wants them to vote, dumbed-down college students are in the process of killing free speech, dumbed-down environmentalists believe everything the left wants them to believe so they can accumulate more power.
The true deplorables exist on the left side of the political spectrum.

Know an 80 year old guy that is like this. He is a true believer. Facts and evidence to the contrary are automatically discarded. He looks to start arguments, and then bully people. He usually starts a conversation with something like 'The economy is terrible!". I ignore him. Just not worth my time. Just about everyone else around him can't stand him, and many of them resent him. Many have loudly said so to his face. None of it makes any difference. The guy isn't stupid, but he has allowed himself to be brainwashed. Nor is it just politics. He's going to believe whatever he wants to believe. Would guess he has been like this for a very long time. Maybe all his life It won't change. Don't know where he gets his information from, but its clear he is parroting lefty talking points.

Sometimes it's not IQ but something deeper. I have a friend who is a computer whiz, straight and married and plans to vote for Buttigieg. I'm still speaking to him because I know there's a chance that he will snap out of it. He's also adamantly anti-gun. We do not discuss politics.

#11 A good amount of people are basically sheep. This true! Many want to be herded and belong to the In Crowd. I'm always amazed by the lack of rationale and curiosity in them. There's no sense of deduction. The left thrives on group think, where the Right respects the individual freedom and liberty. The Left is actually a cult that preys on people to think their way. They'll say anything to recruit them. That's why they will always be corrupt to the core. Right now it's on display for the world to see and hear. They have no shame.
The Right has to constantly be on alert and be prepared to fight them. For years we turned the other cheek and tried to be compassionate and understanding and look what it has produced.
Right now we have to fight for survival.
When I hear President Trump talk about the bad people in Washington DC, he's telling us a lot. Yes, they've been stealing from our coffers for decades... and some Republicans too, although, nothing on the level or as bad as the Democrats.
Yep, there's a lot of inequality and fraud in our government.

Blame the education establishment. They believe in John Dewey, political correctness and identity politics. They inculcate this tripe in our children and grandchildren. They have lowered expectations and become a DNC/LSM echo chamber. They are destroying our country.

Mass delusions and hysteria are not new to human history, including Western Civilization and our beloved United States of America. I haven't done an exhaustive study, but having been trained as a historian its been my take-away these events often coincide with the "hinges of history"; those times when societies are irrevocably changed for ill or for good.
Those who have Faith in God understand we are engaged in Spiritual Warfare. These mass delusions and hysteria are the screams of the wounded coming from the battlefield. Satan's powers are real. Satan's goal to capture prisoner souls is real. God's powers are real. God thirsts for the souls of His people so much He submitted to being the Final Victim of man's Satan-induced hysteria and Triumphed over it by rising from the dead. The war has been won, but the battle continues; think of the War of 1812 and New Orleans. We of the Church Militant, Believers still on earth, fight the rear-guard action with the secure knowledge Victory has already been achieved.
Prayer is our Ultimate Weapon and we wear the Armor of God. Once so prepared we engage our fellow Children of God with mercy and reason, yet are prepared to "shake the dust from our feet" as we walk-away from those dedicated to evil. There are many others who are ready to hear the Message.
Pray. Pray hard and be on the battlefield.

Responding to Reply #5, AOC won a science competiton in high school . I asssume it was judged fairly. If that news is accurate, she is just acting and her insane statements are to
gain publicity, which she has accomplished more so than any other politician. I truly believe she is a lot smarter than she lets on, because if not, someone else took all her school exams for her or she was an affirmative action graduate. it's impossibile to be as stupid as her statements indicate.

Not to go off topic but Alicia asks why are the left wing thugs allowed to wear masks. In Georgia, where I live, it is illegal to wear a mask excepts on Halloween night. And you have to be under 13. Reason, the KKK used to wear masks. Today's young people aren't stupid. Stupid means you can't learn. They are ignorant. They have been taught nothing or learned nothing. Jay Leno used to have a segment called Jay Walking and he'd ask people simple questions. Some couldn't even name a large country north of the USA. The most common answer given when young people were asked what country bombed Pearl Harbor was Viet Nam. Some think Abe Lincoln was a Democrat and the Republicans the slave owners. It isn't the kids' fault. Their schools are filled with PC nonsense. My mother didn't get past high school. I have looked at some of the things she wrote in high school and it's better than what most college students could write.

I have noticed that young people these days have no concept of wit or sarcasm. Those skills are acquired by actually mingling with one's fellow human beings. There seem to be few opportunities for our youth to interact with one another and learn social skills. Even my own kids look at me a bit blankly when I talk about how fun it was to go to dance clubs and bars with live music back in my college days. We learned to joke, to politely tell someone we weren't interested and to smile and make eye contact if we wanted to dance with someone.
I am not surprised that so many people stalk their love interests or even think about brandishing weapons. They have not been taught to win and lose graciously and to move on to someone else. In a country where everyone gets a participation trophy, no one knows how to lose. Not at love, nor elections and political arguments. Our young people put their fingers in their ears, clench their eyes shut and repeat, "na-na-na-na…"
