NEW YORK— On Aug. 7, 1974, three top Republican leaders in Congress paid a solemn visit to President Richard Nixon at the White House, bearing the message that he faced near-certain impeachment due to eroding support in his own party on Capitol Hill. Nixon, who’d been entangled in the Watergate scandal for two years, announced his resignation the next day.Could a similar drama unfold in later stages of the impeachment process that Democrats have now initiated against President Donald Trump? It’s doubtful. In Nixon’s time, there were conservative Democrats and moderate Republicans. Compromise was not treated with scorn. In today’s highly polarized Washington, bipartisan agreement is a rarity.

Well, since OUR President has done NOTHING that would qualify him for impeachment, the GOP should be 100% in his defense...

Donald Trump is not a Richard Nixon, there is no comparison, and Trump has committed no crime justifying his removal from office and the undoing of the 2016 election. If the wimpy Republicans tried what they did with Nixon on Trump, chances are Trump would run for President next year as an Independent thus wiping out a lot of the wimpy Republicans, and if the UniParty tried to keep Trump’s name off the ballot, enough Trump supporters would write Trump’s name in to ensure a Republican defeat big time. They damn sure would not vote for the RINO Romney. You have to figure that the Wiley McConnell has figured that out. What is going on is that the American people elected Trump to go to DC and drain the UniParty and Deep State Swamp there. By focusing in on institutionalized nepotistic corruption, Trump is doing that, and as we can see, the UniParty, the Deep State, and their media minions are by hook or by crook in deep resistance mode to the wishes of the American people who live outside the DC beltway.
Donald Trump is a career businessman and as such tries to get important things done as quickly and efficiently as possible. The DC UniParty is made up almost entirely of lawyer-politicians whose mission in life is to first get re-elected, and then to push forward legislation and other matters in the most complicated and legalistic way possible so their law firms can make as much money as possible litigating almost everything that comes out of Congress for years. Clearly for those reasons Trump does not like the UniParty and the UniParty does not like Trump.

The Media manufactured lack of support for Vietnam and declared a loss - even while we were winning the battles and the war.
the Media "discovered" Watergate and played it every day an night for 2 years.
The Media used negative stories on both bush Presidents unceasingly.
The Media touted Obama as the real Messiah instead of Jesus Christ.
The Media approved of Clinton's sexual acts.
The Media tells unceasing lies about Donald Trump.
The Media spreads the lie that killing babies is good..
The Media spreads the lies that homosexuality is inherited and not curable.
Just who is the enemy of the United States described here.

Donald Trump is no Richard Nixon. And for those who are too young to have lived through that presidency - that's a good thing.

Damn well better not. This is NOT a joke, and this President BETTER NOT BE OUSTED by some BS phony-baloney process, and nonsensical "charges". This is really serious and the Dems have absolutely no concept of what they will unleash if they remove this President.
We, the People, are about fed up and are not going to take a lot more of their traitorous BS.

In 1974, the people were far removed from DC, and had only the alphabet networks to tell them what was happening. If the people had the availability of information and experience they have today, Nixon would not have been forced to resign. I wonder to this day why Nixon never investigated the Democrats, because if he had, he would have uncovered far more criminality than Watergate.

If there is a loss of public support for PDT, and the Dems then pass Articles of Impeachment, enough GOPe Senators will "weigh the evidence" and indicate their lack of support...and then Mitch will take that walk to the White House, in the "national interest", of course.
