Schumer to Trump: Don’t let impeachment
talk derail gun legislation

Original Article

Posted By: ladydawgfan, 9/30/2019 3:50:28 PM

Sen. Chuck Schumer on Sunday said the growing impeachment debate on Capitol Hill shouldn’t stall long-sought legislation seeking background checks for gun purchases — nor keep President Trump from backing the measure. Schumer, speaking at his Manhattan office, called on Trump to “prove to the American people that he can still govern” and is not “consumed” by Democrats’ push to impeach him. “Amidst the impeachment inquiry the gears of government can still move,” Schumer said. “Anyone who suggests otherwise is advancing a false narrative.”

The sheer volume of pure CHUTZPAH here is truly astounding!! So in other words, President Trump should just ignore the fact that leftists are trying to undo the 2016 election through a coup d'etat and just go ahead and compromise his principles on the gun control debate??? Schumer is absolutely DELUSIONAL!!

Mr. Schumer, nothing you want is going anywhere. Trump should focus on what he can do for the country without Congress. Trump should also recognize he has dozens of leftist lawyers attacking him on all fronts. Trump should add a couple dozen lawyers to investigate and bring complaints and legal actions against Democrats.

Democrats (and RINO Republicans) The gutting and/or elimination of the Second Amendment is a bridge too far! Any attempt by this Congress to limit possession and type of firearm guaranteed by the Second Amendment will trigger (no pun intended) the invocation of why the amendment was created in the first place! We, the People have just about had enough of the corrupt and disingenuous ways and means of this congress. The Second Amendment, and all others for that matter, are off limits!

Speaker Pelosi, working through a carefully constructed political dynamic assembled by the hired staff from the Lawfare alliance, has sold her constituency on an impeachment process that structurally doesn’t exist. For many Americans, the fact that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hasn't set up a real impeachment inquiry, with a full House vote, is kind of a comfort, given that without prerequesites, how the heck is anything going to happen? Unfortunately, Democrats have a much dirtier game in mind. The impeachment inquiry is for show. It's also to keep Republicans from being allowed to ask any questions, or subpeona the Democrats for evidence of their own pre-plotting and double dealings. In doing it fake, what the Democrats really want is to force President Trump to empty the White House of every last document and secret, as if conducting a marauder's raid,

Since January 2017, the media and other Democrats have talked about the Constitution, the rule of law, and piously intoned that no one is above the rule of law. Yet from January 2009 to January 2017, the Constitution and rule of law were effectively suspended for President Obama and those who worked for him. Here are some examples: Trump did not dictatorially and unilaterally change and ignore existing immigration law. That was Obama, and Trump is trying to reverse Obama's unconstitutional action and enforce the laws Congress passed as his oath requires. Trump did not sue states that sought to enforce immigration laws. That was Obama.

He was summarily sacked. Dr. Mackereth then hired the Christian Legal Centre (CLC) to represent him in a lawsuit filed against the DWP for religious discrimination.

Right now, the president is under siege by Democrats because he had a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July. Hunter has zero experience in the energy sector. The allegation, and it’s not far-fetched, is that he was there selling access—all of this occurred under the Obama presidency.
