On 14 July 2014, Blake Pulic queued up overnight to try Original Glaze doughnuts at a new Krispy Kreme store. But he got more than just a tasty doughnut when he ended up meeting his wife Brooke in the queue at the Krispy Kreme West Croydon, South Australia. Now the couple has returned to the store on their wedding day – and of course the doughnuts featured heavily. Blake said: ‘I went down to Krispy Kreme that night not looking for anything except some delicious doughnuts, until I saw Brooke just ahead of me in the line. She had bright red hair, and I thought she was gorgeous

Nothing against donuts, but the taste does not compensate for the mega-calories they give you. I can live without them.

Well, good for them. I like Krispy Kreme doughnuts, but can't safely eat them too often, no will power. I was pleasantly surprised to run into a Krispy Kreme outlet at the mall at Portsmouth dockyards in the UK. And their doughnuts (the light was not flashing - too late in the PM) tasted exactly like the American originals.

I was at the grand opening of a Krisy Kreme and got a doughnut fresh out of the fryer. It borderlined on paradide. I wish Chick Fil A was around them. It would have been a grand slam.

Here comes the bride. No wedding cake, just donuts! The bride should try to avoid her habit of eating them too often. (I'm sorry, Brooke and Blake, but things will increase your waistline and cholesterol. Also I see diabetes in your future. Something to think about. Consider my remarks a wedding gift Have a happy marriage and great future together.

A groom-to-be fell to his death from a washing line while larking around with friends months before his wedding. Adam Ashby suffered a fatal brain injury after taking a tumble from the top of the line that he climbed to show off to his family and friends at a birthday party. The 31-year-old climbed up a ten-foot washing line pole to impress friends at a gathering on May 26, but fell off and landed head-first onto a patio - in front of his family and friends.

For a little NASA spacecraft, the weather outside is frightful. The Parker Solar Probe is on a mission toward the sun. The spacecraft has been exposed to scorching temperatures and intense sunlight as it draws closer with every loop around. Eventually, Parker will glide through the star’s outer atmosphere and feel the toastiness of nearly 2 million degrees Fahrenheit (more than 1 million degrees Celsius). Parker is dressed appropriately for the journey. It wears a thick, custom-made shield to protect its scientific instruments and systems, and tubes with flowing water to cool itself down. Inside, it is a cozy 78 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius).

Hundreds of millions of dollars in cash has been shipped from Russia to Venezuela, providing a lifeline to the South American country as U.S. sanctions limit its access to the global financial system. A total of $315 million of U.S. dollar and euro notes were sent in six separate shipments from Moscow to Caracas from May 2018 to April 2019, according to data reviewed by Bloomberg from ImportGenius, which compiled Russian customs records it obtains through private sources. The cash came from lenders run by the countries’ governments and went to Venezuela’s development bank, the records show.

A 12-year-old Overland Park girl formed a gun with her fingers, pointed at four of her Westridge Middle School classmates one at a time, and then turned the pretend weapon toward herself. Police hauled her out of school in handcuffs, arrested her and charged the child with a felony for threatening. Shawnee Mission school officials said they could not discuss the case, citing privacy laws, but did say it wasn’t the district that arrested the child. “We don’t do that,” said spokesman David Smith. “That is not our job.” He said the role of the district police is “not to enforce the law but to keep kids and adults safe.”

The number of acres burned in California through the beginning of August 2019 is 26 times less than the number of acres burned at the same point in 2018, according to new statistics from Cal Fire. Mud tinged with feces washes into homes during heavy rains.

A little something to cleanse the palate. She said this in an interview today with Howard Stern, which makes it slightly less weird since chatter about lesbians is like 40 percent of the content on that show. Or at least it was when I was a regular listener a million years ago. (In fairness to Stern, she’s the one who brings it up.) He went easy on her by not asking the obvious follow-up: What were you doing at Epstein’s ranch, then? She should consider this a missed opportunity, as a surprise admission of bisexuality would have helped add a little more “diversity” to an upcoming Democratic debate.

This Friday, the top four NCAA Division III women’s soccer teams face off in the national semifinals. One of the final four teams’ goalkeepers, Isa Berardo, is a male transgender playing as a female for Pomona-Pitzer Colleges. Not surprisingly, the male goalie has dominated the field against opposing female players, giving his own a chance to win the national championship thanks to his physical advantages in a key position. This is increasingly happening throughout women’s sports, at all levels from elementary school through professional competitions. It’s creating not equality, but inequality.

Sen. Kamala Harris would have been an excellent president. But it was never going to happen. The elephant in the room was just too big. She is a woman and she is black. And in the aftermath of Donald Trump, she never had a chance at gaining the kind of broad support needed to keep her campaign financially viable. That’s why she abruptly withdrew from the race on Tuesday. America isn’t progressive enough to elect a black woman as head of state, any more than it was when Shirley Chisholm ran in 1972. It’s questionable whether our country can elect a woman, period.
