Republicans opposed to President Trump are quietly preparing to support Democratic front-runner Joe Biden, backing that could materialize in the primary as he attempts to fend off a surging Elizabeth Warren. Some Republican operatives active in Never Trump circles are discussing what form support for Biden might take and the timing. Groups such as Stand Up Republic, co-founded by prominent Never Trump Republicans Evan McMullin and Mindy Finn, could target disaffected GOP voters in key micro-battlegrounds with finely tailored advertising in a bid to boost Biden in the Democratic primary. Biden, 76, is the most likely Democrat

I'm pretty sure a "Never Trump Republican" is just a Demon-Rat.
I sure don't see any difference!!!

Demonrats pretending to be Republicans but are properly identified as RINOs. They're definitely not Republicans and have their panties in a twist because they like the corruption and greed the demonrats continue to commit. I want names too.

I really don’t get this. I could understand Never-Trumpers sitting out the election or maybe even supporting one of their own, but how could they back a candidate who stands for things even RINOs find abhorrent? It makes no sense to me at all.

They are not Republicans they are RINOs, and it appears that President Trump has a nack of getting RINOs to out themselves.

Trump has brought transparency to DC. The rats are in the scurrying in the sunlight. By the way, the neverTrumpers have almost zero support. They will be lucky to find anyone to have dinner with.

McMullin and Finn, running mates in Utah against Trump.
Result?
Trump = 515,231
Hillary = 310,676
McMullin = 243,690
And this after "the church" (Mormon leaders) ordered their flock to vote against Trump!
This church is ~ 50% of all of Utah's people, so what a disappointment their votes must have been to their leaders.
But, outside Utah there are few who even pretend to be swayed by Never-Trumpers.

Stupid stupid stupid people.
No, I take that back.
Make that: hateful, spiteful, and evil people. Their decades-long gravy train to power and fortune was stopped by a brash billionaire (with a “b”) from New York AND they have been exposed. Evil doesn’t like daylight and truth.

Biden would be the exact type of candidate that Never Trumpers would love, mindless and pliable.
Backing Hillary in 2016 already proved that their judgement is as seriously impaired as Biden's. Now they want to be two time losers. Hopefully, none of them have any future in Republican politics.

Please! Go ahead and back Biden! He'll be easy meat! Virginia has an open primary, so I'm voting for him, then for Trump in the General election. The Commucrats do it to us all the time. Unless the Comms beseech Hildebeast or The Mooch to run, then we'll have to see.

Why would they vote for Biden? He doesn't stand for anything and he is totally clueless. This is nothing but an act of hate, spite, and malice. Their hatred has consumed them,

Excellent analysis #17. Raw hatred, jealousy and envy are the motivating factors in their strategy. These people are beyond toxic. Reasonable people recoil at their bitter vindictiveness. Trump had the audacity to step onto their turf and best them and that is unforgivable. Now more than ever, Trump 2020!

It's clear the people the Never Trumpers hate the most is themselves. What has Trump done that an objective so called "Republican" would not like? Sure the spending is out of control, but I don't see how it can ever be reined in. Other than that, strong military; strong economy; plenty of jobs; elimination of BS regulations handcuffing business, the projection of the USA as a world leader, just to name a few. Now throw in his Supreme Court picks and the 150 conservative federal Judge confirmed in his term to date and I can't fathom how ANYONE who even remotely identifies as a Republican could say Hillary would have been a better choice. What twits.

You want names of Republicans "quietly" backing Biden? That's easy and I'm stunned that you don't already know. It's EVERY Republican in Congress minus about half of the freedom caucus. Have you not seen EVERY Republican in Congress save a very few help the Marxists try to impeach Trump or help the Marxists blame the 2016 election on Russia? It takes 15 days to indict Flynn and Papadopoulos for things they DID NOT do and one day to utterly destroy Carter Page's life with the GOP's help, but it has taken almost three years to dance around a Jupiter sized planet of evidence against the illegal coup all aided by the GOP. Hello?

This stupid and dangerous for the country. Let’s just assume Biden becomes president. Besides being totally incompetent, he’s a weakling who will be pushed over the Left cliff by the party crazies...guaranteed! Then what has been accomplished besides their egos for getting rid of Trump? Nothing except a national disaster. It’s their money, so let them urinate it down the drain. Trump is going to win big time and Republicans will retake the House and increase their lead in the Senate.

NeverTrumpers are NOT Republicans. They are Dems.
It is just that simple. They left the party in 2015-2016 time period, haven't come back and ARE NOT MISSED AT ALL.
Good riddance.

What is pathetic is that We the People managed to ignore the globalism of Poppy Bush after the Reagan Revolution. From there, Clintoon, Bush II, and Obama are all members of the slippery-slope establishment that so many have fallen for. Now, with Trump unmasking (pun intended) the Marxists who occupy all levels of government, including it learning institutions, as well as the rabidity of Mediawood, there is no doubt about the political and social war that must occur.
If freedom is to survive, it will survive because good men and women stood up and say, "Enough! Here, I make my stand." It is important that we fight this war at the ballot box. Show your friends and neighbors the evil that dwells in the hearts of those who will deny you and your posterity their God-given rights.

Note to Sarah Longwell: If you can support 'Sniffy Joe' that is an indication to me that you never had any conservative sensibilities TO abandon. No true conservative votes for anyone who desires to take the country into the antithesis of conservatism. Insanity must rule in your heads if that is the case.

If they can't vote for Trump, their only option is not to vote at all. Unless, of course, they are willing to abandon all of their conservative principles. Biden would never be able to withstand demands from the left for higher taxes, government-run health care, amnesty for illegal immigrants, transgender rights, etc.

The more I see of Biden, the more I am convinced that he would be a puppet President. He doesn't seem to be willing to do the hard work of being President, but just wants the prestige of holding the title. This raises the question, who would actually be running the country? I am certain that the "Never Trumpers" are so blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome that they have not considered the dangers of this plan.

Good grief. Whatever their thoughts and feelings about Trump, he´s turning out to be a good president. He may well leave office as a great president. Their peevishness is all about their pride. So far, Trump has been good for the country. They´d prefer Joe Biden?!? Inexcusable for people who ought to know better.
