PinkNews, a popular online news source for the global LGBT+ community, praised one of Pope Francis' new appointments for cardinal, Archbishop Matteo Zuppi of Bologna, Italy, stating that the Pope had "named a pro-LGBT+ bishop as cardinal" and that "LGBT+ advocates are celebrating" the selection. On Sept. 1, Pope Francis announced that he was appointing 13 new clerics to the rank of cardinal, which means they will be able to vote for the next Pope when the time arrives. Such appointments usually indicate the direction the Pope wants the Church to follow. "LGBT+ advocates are celebrating after the Pope elevated a leading pro-gay bishop to the College of Cardinals,"

Any news on whether Bible-believing Christians are celebrating?

The Church is entirely shot through with homosexual pedophiles, and it is their undoing, aided by the Communist Pope.

Whether or not interpreters of St. Malachy are right about Francis being the last pope, it looks like Francis is doing his best to make sure there won’t be much of a Church left to elect a successor.

Does this mean that women can now self-identify as men and become ordained priests?

I thought you had to be a devout Catholic to be a Cardinal.

This guy isn't the Pope any more than I am. Benedict is still Pope and is likely the last one.

Well, which is it? Do you want to rid the Church of child sexual abuse or do you want to promote LGBTQ+? You can’t have both.

I read an article, entitled, "You Should Be Furious", dated September 5. 2019, on Church Militant site and it says it all. I am furious. I am a cradle Catholic who loves her church and her faith and I believe it is past the time to clean the filth out of the stables, to quote Pope Benedict XVI (I understand that refers to legend about the Aegean stables which were not cleaned out for thirty years.) The hierarchy of The Church needs to repent, get rid of all those who don't live sacramental lives, and rebuild again with all the fine priests who desperately want the church to be The Church of Christ, but are being held back by those men in power who have a different agenda, and that agenda is not one that is approved of by Christ, Our Savior.
Again, clean the filth out of the stables. It is longer than thirty years that it has been accumulating.

Jesus warned us that people like this psycho Bishop would rise from obscurity to become sheep in wolves clothes. The priest must have forgotten all his lessons on God's Word.

Like there aren't enough perverts in the Catholic church already so the Pope wants to elevate them with more power. I left the church and I'm not going back.

Forgive second post, but basically same theme of Pope Bergoglio, our Jesuit Pope, pretentious' concern for human rights, when, in truth, the real motivation is the millions and millions of dollars the Jesuits receive through their Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS).
Today, there is an article on Church Militant, entitled, "Jesuit Agency Funding Illegal Alien Caravan". Within the article, there is a quote from Michelle Malkin's new book, "Open Borders, Who's Funding America's Destruction?":
"The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) has raked in nearly $900 million in refugee re-settlement profits
over the last decade. ... reduced refugees means reduced cash flow; zero refugees means zero
cash flow".
Sadly, it is what it is.
It is time for a change in the Vatican.
