At CNN’s “Climate Crisis” town hall, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the rising star among Democratic candidates at the moment, laid out her vision for energy production in the U.S. It is so catastrophically misguided that it should disqualify her from holding the office she seeks.
At Wednesday’s town hall, Democrats tried to one-up each other with various grandiose plans to decarbonize the U.S. economy.
But it was Warren’s almost offhand remarks about domestic energy production that caught our attention.
“I think the way we get there,” she said, is to force electric utilities to stop using fossil fuels to generate electricity. “We just say, sorry, guys but by 2035, you’re done.

"How are you going to do that?" asked no one! The only energy left is wind and solar which are not a reliable/significant replacement. All for a climate change hoax. There is no "science" supporting man made warming just bogus computer models prepared by globalists wanting to destroy America! What she is advocating is not the decarbonization of America but the depopulation of America because that would be the result. There is no way this country can run solely on wind and solar power. She's delusional to think otherwise! No nuclear, no coal, no oil & gas means no heating, no air conditioning, no gasoline, no cars/trucks, no food, no meat which means starvation, freezing and heat strokes! This is the twilight zone!!

Beyond the cost and the land use, there is the unreality of producing enough wind and solar components PLUS the BATTERIES to store the energy when the sun isn't shining and the wind is still, as in many times at night when the lack of solar heating leads to calming winds. Further, the electric grid that is used to balance traditional, steady, reliable sources of energy is totally inadequate to balance the erratic sources of solar and wind. Rebuilding the electric grid would be another massive and costly effort.
Leftists think that all they need to do is DECREE something and it SHALL be so. Free medical care, MAKE IT SO! All renewable energy, MAKE IT SO! Free education, MAKE IT SO! Free housing, MAKE IT SO!
The FACT that NONE of these things are in line with possible reality or human nature doesn't seem to bother them. That is because they also have propaganda in place to deny responsibility for the collapse that follows. As BOCare collapsed, the dems and their media NEVER took responsibility for a plan that was absurd from the beginning. THEY BUILT IT and it was a turd. But they will never admit that. As numerous Leftist failure play out in the world today, schemes similar to what the dems are proposing, the dems deny that they are the same thing.
But they are and they will catastrophically collapse, just as Leftist insanity always does.

Your right #4. I lived in California for several years and was stunned at the number of times the legislature mandated a technology that didnt exist. Worse, they mandated that the consumers would have to adopt said non-existent technology.

What of anything from Warren is plugged into reality? This headline is equivalent to the sun rose in the East this morning and is expected to set in the West.

Here is the bottom line on all this: People are the cause of global warming so the number of people must be reduced. How do you do that? You kill people. How do you do that? You take away their only means of protecting themselves from the elements and you let "The Elements" do it. See? It's so simple!

I say (as Elizabeth Warren says) "Sorry guys, but, by 2020, You're Gone"! The more we see them and hear from them, the more I can't wait for this election to be over!

Here's an idea! To help Gray Beaver, speaker Pigloser could spearhead a bill to allow electric companies to begin now to charge rates commensurate with the fantasy generation system the GB proposes. You know, to help them finance the transition, get the new system up and rolling all the sooner.

Does anybody know what a plan looks like? She has no plan. How much energy do you plan to stop getting from coal and oil? How much of that do you plan to simply not consume and by outlawing what activity? How much do you plan to replace with solar and how much do you plan to replace with wind? How many square miles of panels will that take and how many wind mills? From whom do you plan to purchase said resources and what is their current capacity and when can you take delivery? What storage method do you plan to use and what are the resource requirements? What are the electric grid ramifications and what infrastructure must be built? Upon what land to you intend to install all that equipment and who owns it? What roads and support building requirements must be met, where are those resources coming from?
You can't tell me what it's going to cost and the annual outlay without answering those and many more questions. You have no plan you have a fantasy and expect me to open my wallet. This woman couldn't plan an eight year old's birthday party, Native American theme of course.
Then we can get into the discussion of where the money is coming from. You see oh great bespectacled planner, you have already run out of other peoples money. Reaching for more gets you less. What are you going to stop financing to buy your wind and solar farms?
You do know that you can sew the seeds of war through indebtedness or did you fail to plan for that.
She could walk up to the craziest intersection in Rome and believe she could plan the flow of traffic better than letting each person chart their own course. I know freedom looks chaotic but it has been proven to be far better than any central government.

These looney environmental ignoramuses' can install solar panels at their house TODAY! They don't need to wait for the government to mandate it. They could supplement the panels with small, home sized windmills. When enough looney liberals do this, the demand for commercial power will be reduced, and less fossil fuel used. See? They can put their money where their mouth is. Lead by example (I know I am being facetious, no democrat will depart from the herd.)

Warren must watch those science fiction movies where sailing ships fly through the air followed by unicorns and dragons.
Not to sound sexist but this is why you rarely see any female mechanics who get under the hood of your car with a laptop, find the problem and fix it with the proper tools. The set of aptitudes given to each gender is different. If she can convert her own house to solar and wind she is welcome to try but don't expect the rest of us to follow that plan because it won't run your heating and lighting or cool your food. In cloudy areas you may see a flicker once in a while. You might as well live in a teepee and eat dried buffalo, except meat is on their ban list too.

Borrowing from President Trump, how 'bout the dems set the example within their own blue states and cities and cut themselves off from hydrocarbons, cold-turkey? The populations of MA, NY, and CA should have a sufficient critical mass of consumers that would stimulate the innovation that they claim is the key to carbon-free energy. Let them practice what they preach and then get back to the rest of us to demonstrate their success.
