RUSH: All right. “‘Climate Crisis’ Media Coverage Raises Alarm About Journalistic Objectivity.” Really? I was thinking about something during the top-of-the-hour break. I’m asking myself, “Why is this climate change so simple to me? Why is recognizing how bogus it is so simple to me, and why do so many people…?” Otherwise, I mean, these are decent people. They’re just scared to death; they believe it.
It’s not a matter of intellect because intellect isn’t involved in the people that believe it. Now, they think it is. I mean, they think that they’ve got science on their side.

I loved it too, but I have to say, I know some deeply religious people who have fallen for this anyway!

I listened very closely to Rush's statement. It reminds me of when he first started broadcasting in my area. I never missed a show, and was most impressed by something he said way back then. Simply stating it, he said that we didn't create the earth and we cannot destroy it. That made a deep impression on me. One other time, I think it was about the time of the birth of a niece, that he seemed so very quiet and reflective on the God-breathed human race. Rush is sort of like grace, he seems new every day.

If you hear it enough times you start to believe it even though it completely contradicts the evidence of your senses. It's Animal Farm, it's communism, it's every demagogue since the beginning of time.
Anybody have any vague recollection of a Golden Calf?

And I know plenty of agnostics, atheists and non-believers, including myself, who haven't fallen for the climate change hoax. Rush's monologue was heartfelt but irrelevant for policy making. Ours is a secular republic. Arguments opposing man-made climate change based on religious feelings just don't cut it. Rush is fairly good on the junk science fueling "climate change." He should stick to the facts, not feelings.

I wasn't going to reply any more than I did after #4's response but I need to post a second time. It really is one's choice not to believe in God but I am sad for that person. Along with the fact that person would probably not even consider reading the Bible which is even sadder. Just don't know what is being missed. The reasoning for climate change and that whole issue just does not make any sense to me but a lack of faith seems to be evident. God controls everything and my responsibility is to be a good steward. Doesn't get any simpler. . .

I agree with #4. The most stoopid statement I have ever heard is "when a person doesn't believe in anything, he'll fall for anything."

This is it! Rush perfectly articulated what I have felt about climate change but could never adequately express! I personally don’t worry about it because I believe God is in charge, not man.

I have never voted for a democrat and I have never voted for any proposition for environmental bs. Not for clean air or clean water. Nothing. The clean air and water bs was just to get their foot in the door. Lots of "us" did not fall for anything.

I have read the Bible from beginning to end and certain passages several times. I attended a Christian church throughout childhood and have many fond memories of the years of Sunday School. I enjoy and participate in the major Christian holy days. I have no hard feelings and would never disparage any who do believe. Religious symbols and iconography in public places poses no problem for me. Rush's assertion that those who believe that God created the universe somehow are more immune to climate-change propaganda than those who believe that the universe always has been and always will be in existence, unaided by a singular supreme, being is absurd. I would never presume to express sadness for believers for the simple reason that I respect their faith and treat them as adults.

As tempting as a personal God and Savior is.....and it is......it still requires great personal humility to say:"I don't know" when you don't know. I have the benefit of 14 years of Catholic Education and yet I must confess that when it comes to a big guy in the sky......I just....don't know.
Like the appeal of Communism or any other Utopian notion.....I am leary because I WANT it to be true......but that does not make it true. I long for a God but that does not cause a God to exist.
Please go easy on agnostics. We struggle with the existence of God just as many believers do.
Spoiler Alert: Everyone goes to Heaven !
Yes.....EVERYONE.
