Former Vice President Joe Biden, now running for the Democrat presidential nomination, told a CNN town hall Wednesday night that the government will tell people in areas vulnerable to fire and flooding, "don't build in these places.""The people who are already there are going to be in real trouble," he added, as insurance companies refuse to do business with them. Biden made the remarks in response to a question from CNN's climate change enthusiast Bill Weir, who told Biden:

The Dems are good at only one thing - telling people what to do.

Mr. Biden, but what if God wanted you to build in that place? You see, participation in the Democratic party you belong to gives permission to tell people what to do, how to think, where to go etc., etc. My assessment of the Democrat party is such: jealous, faithless, and greedy. You belong to a party that is jealous of Donald Trump's win in 2016, faithless because God is taken out of society all the time, and greedy because you want American taxpayers to pay for all your aspirations and mistakes. That Mr. Biden, in my eyes, is your Democrat party and campaign.

Ah, yes. Telling you were to live, what you can drive, what you can eat, where you send your children to school, which medical professionals you are allowed to see, telling you you cannot own a firearm, telling you where to work, telling you, ordering you, demanding you. The list is endless. Be very careful America.

There's Uncle Joe- he's a movin' kinda slow at the Junction-Pettyquote Junction.
Insurance companies don't underwrite in wind/flood areas and haven't for years. They may administer the program but Uncle Sam pays the most to rebuild when it comes right down to it.

So, California, Florida, and New Orleans will all become National Parks.
Joe, have you thought this through.

When Katrina hit New Orleans, then-Speaker Dennis Hastert said that the ward in NO below sea level should not be rebuilt.
Democrats savaged Hastert for saying that.

It should be up to the individual to decide if they want to assume the risk and pay more for insurance. Half of the Bay Area in California is within a stone's throw of an earthquake fault. Should we start tearing down Berkeley, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley?

But his former boss, Barak the Abomination, just bought a multi-million dollar beachfront in Marrhs Vineyard. Is'the One' going to walk on water? Or hold back the sea?
Or is this an Elite Liberal Scam to Chase current owners away from choice beach-front acherage.

And don’t build where there are tornadoes. And don’t build where there are blizzards or ice storms. And don’t build where there are dust storms. And….
Addled Dems like Biden know what is best for us.

I suspect many millions of homes have just lost a lot of their value.
Both in flood zones and in forested areas.

I say, build if you want to, but you do it at your own risk. I don't think taxpayers should be subsidizing your flood or fire insurance.

People will do what they want...locally, every time the river rises, some people get flooded out...the same places, the same people, over and over...some people just do not want to relocate...

I live outside of Charleston, SC where we are currently riding out Dorian, which was overhyped by the media and is giving us wind and rain but no flooding. Yes, we choose to live in a hurricane prone area, but we also are prepared for it. And by law we have to purchase flood insurance. Zoning regulates how you can build too - if you are within so many yards of water, your house must be built one level up from the ground - meaning that your garage is on the ground floor and your living spaces are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Some gorgeous houses are built right on the marshes and that land is some of the most expensive - but they are all built with hurricanes in mind.
The media will show you “catastrophic” flooding in downtown Charleston, but they won’t tell you that Charleston floods all the time, especially during the summer when we get afternoon thunderstorms.
So, Joe and Bernie, mind your own ****ing business.

Is this Biden's way of letting us know he would twist the arms of insurance companies about insuring people who build in places that could flood or burn? Sounds like it to me. Pettyquote Junction?? ROFL, I am so stealing that one.
