Hurricane Dorian, a Category 4 with 140 mph winds as of early Saturday, is not expected to make landfall in Florida and instead will track up the coastline, possibly slamming into the Carolinas late Wednesday.
Earlier projections had it hitting Florida head on as early as Monday. Areas all along the coast still are bracing for storm surge, heavy rain and dangerous, gusty winds. Other forecasts have the storm not making landfall at all in the U.S. A high-pressure system in the Atlantic is helping push the storm north.
If Dorian remains farther off shore, parts of Florida may see only up to 10 inches of rain, significantly lower than earlier forecasts.

Leftists foiled again by Trump. He must have nuked the storm so it wouldn’t hit Mar a lago. We all know he controls the weather. He’s the guy making these storms, he says where they go.

This will upset our liberal friends. DJT has the power to redirect hurricanes. You know he is going to say something to the haters that were hoping for destruction in Florida.

EXCLUSIVE!!: ''MSNBC reports that President Trump colluded with President Putin to thwart the hurricane by combining their evil weather controlling machines. Several plane loads of cash will be sent to Putin.''

We can't control hurricanes, but with money we can cure climate change, right?

A day or two out, the track forecast is fairly reliable. They had Irma right up my tail 3 days out and they were really only off by 50 miles. That said, we are more than a day or two out, and if I were in NE Florida I wouldn't tear down the plywood yet.

It is still shown tracking close to the coast where it can still do considerable damage. I hope and pray that it turns to the NE sooner an goes farther out to sea.

Talk about irony! I've spoken with many people who were reluctant to live in the west for fear of earthquakes, and many in the west shudder at the thought of hurricanes and tornadoes in the east.
The home we just sold was in the California desert just a few miles from the epicenter of the 7.1 earthquake - just 2 weeks before escrow closed. We moved to North Carolina and our new home is due to close just a week after the hurricane. How many people are fortunate enough to experience two such dissimilar disasters in the same year?
I imagine if we moved to Wyoming the Yellowstone super volcano would erupt!

I live in Charleston, SC and Dorian is now headed our way, by Thursday, though expected to drop to Cat 2 and may not even hit the coast but veer north without ever touching land. Meanwhile, my worry wort husband is freaking out and wants to start boarding up the windows today. We evacuated for Florence last year and didn’t even get a fallen branch or a puddle in the street. Maybe I’ll slip him some Xanax.

You'll know it's serious when Jim Cantone shows up. You'll lose your property and your wife. Maybe it will go ashore at Martha's Vineyard to pay the new residents there a special visit.

Now all the 'breaking news' feeds will shift to people emptying the shelves of water and bread in the Carolinas....people are fools....they should ALWAYS be prepared and get their sh*T together BEFORE these natural weather phenomina begin to happen...

So happy to hear. Was worried for good friend who lives in Melbourne. Back in September 2004, while living in Vero Beach we were hit back to back by Frances and Jeanne.

I heard a funny one yesterday.
When Jim Cantore checks into your hotel, your all going to die!
Last year's hurricane was supposed to hit the Jacksonville area and literally, at the last second the storm jogged to the right, just enough to spare the area the full brunt of the storm. I keep an eye on projections, but dont light my hair on fire until 24 hours in advance. And then I hold my breath.

I was predicting this trend two days ago. You could see that every successive set of path predictions had it curving farther "right" - north and east, from the original predictions to cross Florida and hit New Orleans.
Every 12 hrs, it was shown to be curving farther north and east. That trend has continued as the high pressure system has moved in.
Think of the high as a hill and you are rolling a ball, the ball will go straight, until it gets to the hill, and it will roll off to the side as it is deflected. Putters know this phenomena exactly.
Still, there will be damage along the coast, and a good bit of rain, as it moves along. Could be flooding
plus beach erosion.

It irritates me that so many in the media and on the left seem to be cheering for this storm to be something significant, as though proving global warming is more important than the loss of property and life as well as misfortune of so many of their countrymen. Shame on these people!

Man, I would offer that besides being a worthless 'government' official: This the 'four twats', being a weatherman has GOT TO BE the greatest high-paying job on earth...
Seldom predict with accuracy, but get paid without any need to repent for missing the target most of the time.
And then I see all those 'jets' spewing "contrails" in the exhausts...and lied too every day...

Now that the path is headed away from Mar-a-Largo, the media will lose a lot of their interest. They were truly hoping that the President's home would be destroyed.
