Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report Thursday outlining a wide range of serious misconduct by former FBI Director James Comey. Concluding that “Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees … who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information,” the 83-page report implicitly vindicated President Trump’s decision to fire the rogue FBI director in May 2017. The Office of the Inspector General also confirmed that Comey improperly leaked highly sensitive material to the media for the express purpose of pressuring the Justice Department to appoint a special counsel to investigate the 2016 presidential election.
And if a Prol releases sensitive government information, they are immediately arrested and arraigned before a Federal Judge... I have no faith in and of the alphabet departments in DC...

Bottom line: The cockroaches at all levels in this government cannot be trusted. If you are ever entrapped by the system, give them name, rank, serial number and date of birth - beyond that, pound sand.

Lock Him Up!!!
What is this BS, where wrongdoing is found, but you don't punish?
PUNISH!!
At the very least, you can grind on him till he gives up the real culprits: Hillary, and Barack.
LOCK THEM BOTH UP!!!

Comey set a dangerous precedent? Comey committed serious crimes and the DOJ does not have the guts to hold him accountable. If this was the nothing burger they say cannot be prosecuted, why bother? There is something very wrong with our DOJ. Justice comes swift and hard to anyone near the Trump administration, but it never gets out of the starting gate when it concerns democrats. That seems to me to be, at the least, inconsistent and at the worst, selective prosecution.

So this means that there was a proper way to leak the sensitive material to the msm?

"a dangerous example" is enormously understating Comey's behavior. If others followed Comey's path, there would be NO JUSTICE possible in this Country. I understand the IG is working within the boundaries of the department that he is examining but the repercussions of the outcome are staggering to the Country. I would rather rip the FBI apart and completely create a new group than let Comey's "example" stand. It is also clear that others in the FBI followed Comey's example in their own efforts. Comey's corruption has spread. How far?
The IG's report is a professional work and is carefully restrained in it's analysis and conclusions. Hopefully, others will not view it with such docility. This is a level of corruption not often seen. Yet we have had examples of it in the IRS, EPA, CFPB, DOJ, CIA, and many other government groups. It must be addressed and it must be stopped. If it is not, our Republic cannot stand.

If you ever decide to leak secret classified materials to the NYTs. Make sure that you're Co-Conspirators are in charge of determining the classification level of the leaked information.
If Peter and Lisa say it was just Confidential and not Classified - you skate!

Comey set the example alright, and Barr let the government employees know that it is not at all dangerous to do what he did.

it wasn't a unprecedented in his case - it was what any disinterested party will tell you - it was oft repeated law breaking.
worse yet, the DOJ's lack of action on the law breaking is not unprecedented either. beyond outrageous.

However, #7, UNLESS Comey is prosecuted it is nothing but a fat fat paycheck for Horowitz and staff who compiled the report. We are not impressed by all this outrage and phony concern for the rule of law. It is stated that there are certain things the FBI and DOJ regulations “do not permit” with regards to the handling of classified material. Well, so far, it is being demonstrated that all of Comey’s actions ARE permitted.
