Kansas University’s Sexuality & Gender Diversity Faculty and Staff Council is livid with the expansion of Chick-fil-A on campus and calling for Jayhawks to boycott the eatery. The popular fast-food chain is in the crosshairs of yet another college group due in large part to Dan Cathy, the company’s president and CEO, supporting the traditional definition of marriage in 2012.(Snip) “KU granted Chick-fil-A, a bastion of bigotry, a prime retail location in the heart of our campus,” KU’s Sexuality & Gender Diversity Faculty and Staff Council said in a letter sent this week to Chancellor Doug Girod, the provost’s

Comments:

What would the Perennially Oppressed (i.e., the nastiest bullies around) do without their imaginary enemies? KU should get off the fence; disband and fire the Sexuality & Gender Diversity Faculty and Staff Council, or rebrand themselves as the Gayhawks and wait for the lesbians, the bisexuals, the transgenders, the gender nonconforming, the queers, etc to complain about being excluded.

The bastion of bigotry is on the UK faculty who have likely never been in a Chick Fil-A, or seen the diversity of people who both work there, and buy their products. The opinions and beliefs of the founder of the company have nothing to do with the people who work at their stores, or willingly enter their stores to buy food. Unlike a University, where most need to fall in line, and repeat the mantra from on top, the rest of society isn't pre-disposed to group-think mentality.

I think people open to the public have to serve the public, regardless if they like them. That's what is great about capitalism. You go for some chicken nuggets, you get chicken nuggets, and they get cash, and that is the end of it. Now socialists, they give you a social credit score, and you may not get chicken nuggets, or be able to fly, or leave the house.

So Chick-fil-A is a "bastion of bigotry" because its CEO supported traditional marriage in 2012? Then America is also a basket of bigotry. Our CEO supported traditional marriage in 2012 (until Sleepy Joe floated his trial balloon in support of gay marriage, then Obama's thinking suddenly "evolved"). Oh, I forgot.
