Voters say touchscreen machines

nine Mississippi counties

A viral video published on Facebook showed a voter baffled as a touchscreen voting machine repeatedly switched his vote in Tuesday’s Mississippi gubernatorial runoff race. “It is not letting me vote for who I want to vote for,” the voter in the video is heard saying as he repeatedly tried to vote for former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Waller Jr. but continued to see Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves’ name marked on the machine. “How can that happen?” a woman in the background is heard asking. https://www.facebook.com/sally.k.walker/videos/10104625407917316/ The malfunction happened at a voting precinct in Oxford, The Clarion Ledger reported. 9 counties? That’s not even close to being legitimate.

The article is not telling the complete truth. I am in Pearl River County Mississippi, one of the counties listed, and we used Paper Ballots, which were hand marked, read by a machine and then stored for confirmation. We did not use the old "Touch Screen" machines shown in the article's photographs.

Davidson County Tennessee used touch-screens in the past mayoral primary, and you have to really touch the screen with a degree of force. Then you wait for a paper ballot to spit forth. You then take that paper ballot to a tally machine. It was a long-ish procedure and I wonder about accuracy. But rest assured, I received my ''I Voted'' sticker!

It's not a malfunction. Regardless of party, certain people want certain candidates - either because they are beatable, or have an agenda favorable to someone's own agenda. The fact it can happen, makes the election, illegitimate.

Does anybody really think that technology is the answer? Return to paper ballots, and the fraudsters will return to stuffing ballot boxes. Similar to the way confiscating all guns will move murder back to knives, poisons, and rocks. The sinful inclination drives the intent, which finds a way to be put into action. It's a corruption of the soul, and fallen human nature has not the power to fix itself. Only divine mercy is capable of achieving that.

The real error the fixers made was reflecting the change on the user interface. Much smarter to let the "voter" think they cast the intended vote, but inside the software just switch the variables so the count goes to the fraudster. We have virtually no way whatsoever to perceive that fraud. Which may be what's really going on, with a show of "oops, the digital screen's touch registration was off. Never mind, we fixed it!". Then, no one looks further to find the real fraud buried in the software. I'm just so cynical anymore.

A federal judge Tuesday ordered the White House to reverse its suspension of a reporter’s press credentials. Playboy reporter Brian Karem’s White House pass was temporarily revoked after he argued with President Donald Trump’s former aide Sebastian Gorka at a Rose Garden event in July. Karem’s hard pass — a long-term White House press pass — was suspended for 30 days in August by press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who cited his lack of “professionalism” and “decorum.” But U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras determined the standards for press behavior had not been made clear before the event and granted a preliminary injunction restoring Karem’s pass. “Grisham failed to provide

The Left in American life today, with its emphasis on socialist and communist values, is essentially denying the validity of Judeo-Christian values which have been defended successfully for centuries by blood, sweat, and tears. The Left emphasizes needs rather than rights, equality over liberty, state ownership over private property, a woman’s right to choose death over life, gender fluidity over the eternal reality of a two gender system based on creation of both men and women in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and world government over national identities. To the Left, the moral values held dear for 3500 years and central in Western consciousness are, at the

It is now clearer than ever that the whole Trump-Russia collusion argument, as many of us have been loudly proclaiming since it began, is a monstrous hoax, “a conspiracy so immense”—to use Senator Joseph R. McCarthy’s infamous words in his attack upon General George C. Marshall in 1951—that it has been hard for the public to take it on board. Of course, the assimilation of what has happened has been made more complicated by the extremely agitated political ambiance of the Trump era, which was to a large extent inevitable given the mandate this president received to make profound public policy changes

Progressive Senate candidates in at least two states are accusing a key Democratic Party campaign arm of actively working against them in primaries to help more moderate rivals favored by leadership as having a better shot of ousting GOP incumbents. The efforts by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee come as the party seeks to retake the Senate majority from Republicans in 2020. But while early intervention may help prevent ugly primary battles, it is already heightening internal tensions between the party’s centrists and progressives, and rekindling allegations of unfair meddling by party leadership.

In 15th-century Peru, we learned last week, children were sacrificed to propitiate to the Chimú gods, in an attempt to end natural disasters caused by the climatic phenomenon we now call, appropriately enough, El Niño. In our time, the roles have been reversed. Now children warning of an impending climate catastrophe are the ones that have to be propitiated. Now it is they who demand sacrifices. The arrival of Greta Thunberg in New York on Thursday was one of many recent events that illustrate how rapidly modern environmentalism is degenerating into a millenarian cult.
