Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey’s cocky, arrogant and obnoxious sanctimony in the face of a “damning” report from the Department of Justice has earned him caustic censure from all sides of the political news aisle, from Fox News all the way to even CNN and MSNBC.First up is Fox News’ usually unopinionated chief political news anchor, Bret Baier.“James Comey is essentially crowing about avoiding an indictment from the Department of Justice, which is a little rich, if you think about it,” he said following the release of a report by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz late Thursday morning.

I have not yet heard Comey deny the accuracy of the IG findings. Does he refute the report's claims?
Even though Barr declined to indict, neither did he exonerate Comey.

I am throwing this idea "out there" to see if it makes sense. Others have probably said this if it has any merit.
Perhaps the AG is not prosecuting Comey on these grounds at least in part because bigger charges are likely -- AND the AG does not want Comey bogged down in the leaking bit, which would take away from a rigorous trial of the BIGGER CHARGES.
Does that make sense at all? Or am I only dreaming. Just trying to make sense of all this. It seems like these big wigs get off. The rest of us would pay BIGLY if we had done even a smidgen of what they have done.

#2, that is exactly what is going on.

#2 Wouldn't that be like a prosecutor going through a lengthy investigation to determine if Mr. A was guilty of drunk driving; and another lengthy investigation of whether CPS should come to take his kids; but waited until all that was resolved to arrest him for murdering his wife?!
Why aren't they coming out with the big guns, and then who cares about the leaking after you have prove him guilty of treason?

#2 I'm in the camp that thinks you're dreaming. Could be wrong, but there's no past evidence that leads me to believe I am.

#2, AG Barr is not indicting Comey because Barr has no intention of ever indicting Comey or any other Obama official. There are several spinners on Lucianne who have been misleading us for 24 months that indictments would be forthcoming, but they have been deceiving us. No one from the Obama regime will be indicted for the attempted coup, No one will be indicted for a perjurioua FISA warrant request, No one will be charged with spying. Finally, Hillary can keep the $145.5 million from the Russians since she will never be charged with any felonies no matter how much evidence is revealed. “Breaking News” is a joke on us,

No charges will ever be filed. Comey skates along with Stzrok, Page, Brennan, Clapper, Clinton, Obama and all of the rest. Justice is only for the uninformed subjects of the deep state. If I'm wrong, then why after all of this time has nobody, I repeat NOBODY ever been charged? This all happened in 2016 people. There is no justice for anybody that works for the Deep State. Case closed.
The America I grew up in is dead.

Re #2, that is exactly what is happening. Comey will not be in court and all over TV, playing the Boy Scout who just wanted to save our country from a dangerous president. And Horowitz made sure that that phony Boy Scout image was totally demolished in his report. Naked as a jaybird, mandacious, self-serving Comey is now exposed for all to see. Not a lawyer in the world can change that. Now the main event can begin with one major player fatally damaged.

Those who are raving on about how this all started in 2016 (actually it was earlier) have overlooked the fact that for two years most of the evidentiary material was held up because of the Mueller/Weissman investigation. No one saw anything. That was Comey’s point in going for a special prosecutor. But that failed, the evidence began to come out, the dominoes began to fall. It is not over. Those who are ranting about its happening two years ago are seriously underinfomed about how this story unfolded. Many of us have watched it daily during those years and know exactly what the holdup was all about… Patience.

This arrogant piece of vermin excrement had better quit crowing. One way or another karma will get him. It may not come as a prison sentence but it will get him just the same. Just ask Illary. She didn’t get a prison sentence (yet) but she got something much worse - the one thing she wanted most in life was denied her by the very people she referred to as Deplorables.

I have to hang on to what Joe DiGenova (sp?) opined to Hannity - that convincing a jury of laymen to convict based on what was done regarding "conversation x" vs. what was done with "conversation y." Too confusing and risking a not-guilty verdict would green-light him to crow even louder. Better to wait for the.bigger charges, instead.

No. 10 & 11, or Earlybird, at the risk of being barred by Lucianne, what are you being paid to write such nonsense? No one who has been following the news about the lack of prosecutions of Obama regime thugs could write what you do without being paid by the Committee to Re-elect the President.
You call for “patience” yet after 2.5:years of a Trump DoJ not one Obama official has been indicted. And as Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton says in utter frustration over the lack of equal justice, not a single Obama regime official has been called before a grand jury, let alone been charged with crimes. You spin as ugly as Lanny Davis, and it’s shameful.

And, still, Comey laughs and preens and struts.
He needs to be in prison.

One of our most venerable Ldotters, has been accused of "being paid to write...nonsense" for positing the same theories that Joe DiGenova, Rudy Giuliani and others have proposed re: the Comey investigation. That kind of accusation is really inconsistent with the purposes of this forum.
There is no consensus regarding the reasons for the DOJ's refusal to prosecute this particular finding, but there are credible legal minds who believe it would not be a successful prosecution. Comey can be charged for the much more serious crime of perjury for signing FISA documents that he knew were false, and some think that is why Barr doesn't want to get bogged down in this one. I hope they're right, but time will tell.
