MSNBC prime-time anchor Lawrence O'Donnell issued an apology for running with a single-sourced unverified claim about President Trump and Deutsche Bank."Last night I made an error in judgment by reporting an item about the president’s finances that didn’t go through our rigorous verification and standards process," he tweeted on Wednesday. "I shouldn’t have reported it and I was wrong to discuss it on the air. I will address the issue on my show tonight." (Tweet) On his show the day before, O'Donnell claimed that a source close to the bank was in possession of "documents that Donald Trump obtained loans with co-signers"

I hope Lawrence O'Donnell is sanctioned somehow. He has a real anger problem as evidenced by some of his rants. He makes no attempt to act fairly when It comes to PDJT. He has a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. I can't imagine anyone watches that guy.

What fresh hell is this? Does he think that the network has "vigorous verification processes" other than broadcasting whatever they think will harm Trump? Laughable. No, pathetic.

L O'D made an error in judgment by not crawling under a rock and staying there, he's an awful person. I can watch a second or two of any of his fellow travelers but not him. Zero seconds is my limit.

Nice try. LOD did it fully knowing it was a lying hit job. This token rot is trash to appease the nutworks public relations gurus. Fake apologies don't work around here. Feed it to the brain dead believers following your parade.

O'Donnell once declared himself a "socialist" on the November 6, 2010, Morning Joe show, stating: "I am not a progressive. I am not a liberal who is so afraid of the word that I had to change my name to 'progressive.' Liberals amuse me. I am a socialist. I lie to the extreme left, the extreme left of you mere liberals". On the August 1, 2011, episode of The Last Word, O'Donnell further explained: "I have been calling myself a socialist ever since I first read the definition of socialism in the first economics class I took in college." And now you know the rest of the story.

What's the old saying, "a lie will travel around the world long before the truth catches up to it"?
He tried to excite Rachel Maddow's rabbid viewers with the hope of generating an increase in their ratings, period.
I must say, far too many on the LEFT, seem too gullible and will believe anything they are told, or see on the internet. I suspect many have an issue with judgement which would be a real problem on a jury trial knowing they can't set aside their biases and render a proper verdict.

Am I the only person who is being driven crazy by the video pop-up that always appears on the right side of the page in Lucianne? I can't get it to go away:::: the x jumps around (when there is an X----sometimes there isn't). This is the *** only *** website that presents this problem for me.

The story is not his apology but the fact that he wasn't fired by MSNBC for malpractice. This speaks volumes about the credibility and integrity standards at this politicized propaganda machine masquerading as journalism.

Same here, #19. If you do manage to get rid of it, it comes right back. I realize ads pay for this “free” site but that pop up is more than annoying and a dishonest way to try to sell something.
