Presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg praised late Sen. John McCain Sunday on the first anniversary of his passing, adding Republicans are “poorer as a party” without his presence. “You know, John McCain did a remarkable job of reaching out to people of different persuasions. He was very convincing to independents because he did not appear to be dogmatic and he really prided himself, I think, on openness—especially with the press,” the Indiana Democrat told reporters in New Hampshire, via The Hill. “I have taken a lot of lessons from that, even though my values and ideas are very different than his were,”

If McCain were still alive, I would be more than happy to see him go independent or move over (officially) to the Democrats. I wouldn’t feel poor at all.

Oh yes, the Democrats loved him when he was running for President--not! They called him Grampy McSame and rolled their eyes at him during the debates (I saw this while watching one of the debates at an airport). They accused him of wanting to end employer-sponsored health care and making everyone pay their own way (actually, his plan involved $5,000 in tax credits). Also, warmonger!

Hey Buttplug, we have Rom-con who's kinda a Mcqueeg spar. In other words, our cross to bear. In the mean time, why don't you worry about policing the nut-bombs in your own party and leave us alone.

He was their favorite Republican as long as he bashed Republicans. Once he got the nomination to run against the chosen one, they turned on him like vipers. He was so stupid, he was shocked. He again became their favorite when he started bashing Trump. Give him credit, he knew how to get glowing press, and was smart enough to know that he'd become an "un-person" if he ever jumped to the Dems (where he really belonged). Conservatives don't miss him, and would like to forget him.

McCain should have been thrown out of the Republican party. He conspired with Obama to take down a sitting President. He was a traitor. War hero? Sorry, his actions later in life have stripped him of that designation.
As for Pete Butt, his 15 minutes are up, and its time for him to return home to his husband. This guy is messed up.

The praise Buttigieg heaps on Mc Cain by definition can be paraphrased with "RINO". He was the worst Republicans have to offer in that he was mostly a Democrat occupying what should have been a Republican Senate Seat.

Strike one: McCain/Feingold unconstitutional gutting of the First Amendment.
Strike two: Killing the "skinny repeal" of ObamaCare.
Strike three: Aiding and abetting the coup d'etat known as RussiaGate.
(I'll pass by the Lincoln S&L scandal and his RINO voting record.)

To me, the worst thing McCain ever did was to conspire with John Kerry to deny that American POWs were left behind in Vietnam, and refuse to bring them back. They both impeded, blocked and denied attempts to find them, which seems to me to be treason.

I ADMIRE John McCain the Naval Aviator.
After being shot down, captured and tortured .....remember the Lefty media person mocking him for not using a computer? He could not put his hands at a keyboard, as the Communists had BROKEN BOTH HIS SHOULDERS. He was offered early release from North Vietnamese Communist torture and captivity -I think IF he would make a statement against the USA- but he chose to honor his nation and his comrades, so he stayed locked up under horrible conditions for many years.
On the other hand, I LOATHE John McCain the Senator.
As a Senator, he got addicted to the leftist media fawning over him every time he 'Crossed the Aisle' and voted with the Democ'RATS to mess up whatever President George W. Bush was trying to accomplish.
Then McCain ran for President, and he discovered that the Media did not like HIM, they liked it when he SERVED THEIR PURPOSE. After losing to Zero, I don't recall McCain really being in the headlines much until Donald Trump became President. Then McCain returned to his role of doing everything he could to stop President Trump, and doing everything he could to hog the Media Spotlight while doing so. His shameful performance in voting to keep Obamacare -after PROMISING his Citizens that he would vote to repeal it- was a fitting, shameful end to a long and dishonorable Senate career.
Today I see that, now that he's dead, the Left is praising him again.

It would be worth it.

Only a Dim could love a traitor who btw signed a confession to that effect and who may have been executed.
He aided Hussein in a number of nefarious ways; he was being tracked pre-Trump and there is photographic evidence of his treason.
Cindy would be so proud, I'm sure.

John McCain has passed into history. The leftist and liberal Democrats love to put their take on history, most of the time expressing their opinion which ends up revising history through emotional story telling to their own self-serving ends.
They could just as well opine that the Democrats are a “poorer” party without John F. Kennedy.
