The gaff-prone Democratic candidate for president, former Vice President Joe Biden, is doing just fine where his brain is concerned, according to his surgeon. As you may recall, Biden had two – that’s right – two surgeries for brain aneurysms in the late 1980s. This, of course, has caused many to wonder if the rigors of the campaign trail have taxed the mental wherewithal of the 76-year-old Biden. Like the time he insisted he was still vice president during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February of 2018.He wasn’t. Or that Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy were assassinated in the 1970s. They weren’t.

"As sharp as he was 31 years ago". That might be the real problem!

Back in 1992, Paul Tsongas was running for the D nomination for President.
His physician announced that Tsongas, although he had a history of cancer, was cancer-free and healthy.
At the time of the announcement, Tsongas was slowly dying of cancer.
When Tsongas died not long after, his physician was asked why he lied about Tsongas.
The physician replied, "He was my patient. I owed it to him."

What he says has nothing to do with his aneurysm. The erudite Dr. Jill is mistaken. The area of the brain where speech is located has to do with the speech function. It’s called “aphasia” and it means that the person - most often a stroke survivor - cannot find the words he knows he needs at a particular point to express himself. I know this firsthand.
Joe has something else. Not a kind man, nor a tactful man, he does not know what it is to say the right thing. The tactful thing. He has been a bully for years - I remember his outright maliciousness, his cruelty, when he was holding forth as chairman of the Judiciary Committee. In private I expect he and Teddy got off some good ones - har, har, har. Now is not the time for him to try to tone it down. It is as much a part of him as his skin. It comes from a different part of his brain; always has.
As for stuff like Parkland and Kent State, that is a memory problem. One has to remember correctly in order to recall correctly. At the time those events occurred, it’s my guess that good time Joe didn’t care enough to pay attention to details...

Been thinking about this phenomenon.
I think he's the real "nowhere man"... man. He has lived in the moment, historical moments, but has not participated in them. He has historical knowledge, but he has not pondered them as real people do, thinking about the meaning and significance and the real people who were the genuine participants. He remembers things as footnotes to essays and speeches he purloined, but did not write. They're not his experiences. He's the hollow man, chest full of straw.
He's the "plastic people" guy, shallow, vacuous and living in such a way as he is able to collect figments (real or imagined) and stuff them in his shirt pockets, frantically grasping at them when historical references are needed. So what if he gets the time and place and numbers and people discombobulated?
He has had real tragedies in his life. But he doesn't strike me as someone who has gained, painfully, new dimensions to his life. Sure, people respond to tragedy and suffering in different ways. Sorry if this sounds judgmental. But Biden is the nowhere man, plastic person, hollow, lacking integrity--meaning that the various aspects of his inner life to do not work together to form a whole of integrated parts.
So he gets confused. c'mon, man! Let's get real (though he isn't)

I just can’t see him going 1v1 with PDJT on the debate stage - it would be the Robert Mueller debacle on steroids....

Please don’t go too hard on Joe. First we want him to become the nominee (unless Marianne Williamson has a chance). THEN we pounce.

From #4:

So what if he gets the time and place and numbers and people discombobulated?
I was just going to call him shallow, superficial, lightweight. #4 did a more thorough job. Joey has skimmed the surface of life.

One thing is for sure, if the leftist and liberal Democrats do actually nominate Joseph Biden at their convention next year, the important thing to watch is who the Democrats nominate to be Biden’s Vice-President.
Chances are because of Biden’s advanced age and tenuous mental condition, that person would be the politician who the Democrats actually would want to sit in the White House to push their increasingly leftist political agenda for the next 8 to 10 years, after Biden bows out do to age related health concerns sometime after he would be elected. Chances are that person will be a very liberal minority politician who this time around could not necessarily be elected President in his or her own right. It will be interesting.

Cut with the excuse-making already because Joe is even dumber today than he was 31 years and even longer. And that was as dumb as dumb can get. He is no intellectual genius or critical thinking giant. He is a pea-brained moron and a lying liar through and through. He probably needs help tying his shoes and pouring a scotch on the rocks. The one thing that put a smile on his face is when the waitress brings him a Corona a margarita and a shot of Cuervo on one order at Happy Joe Hour just to save her some time so she doesn't have to make so many trips. Down the hatch buddy boy!
