In the week after earning plaudits for a powerful speech calling on the nation’s better angels to combat racism and hate and fight for the soul of America, former Vice President Joe Biden has stumbled into a danger zone with gaffes and misstatements that could cost him the Democratic nomination. Questions about his fitness to prevail in the grueling next nine months -- let alone the 14 till the general election -- have given progressives a huge opening, with Sen. Elizabeth Warren surging in popularity and momentum. And that is grim news for the Democratic Party.
As Biden creates doubts about his viability, there is no one else

"A Biden fall clearly leaves the party far out on the left, without a strong contender for the center. "
The Left doesn't care. They think there is strong support for them that will emerge once the primary is settled. The polls show no support for their nutty policies NOW. But those policies will be "adjusted" for the general election and the media won't even blink about the changes. They will laud any and all dem plans. There are a lot of voters who won't even pay attention until a month before the election. They won't care about what happens before they woke up. The absurd candidates and their antics will be long forgotten. The media will be whipped into line. Their propaganda will be well polished and pervasive. The drumbeat will be "Racism!, Racism!, Racism!", even though their will be not one real instance of it. Mueller's outcome was the norm for dem actions, not an aberration. There was no RUSSIANS!, there but they beat that horse for over 3 years.
The only question is, how dumb are the voters? Dems are a failed party in all but their "show". Will voters confuse their screenplay with reality? Are we finally done with the Left's stale production company?

Like I said before, Tulsi may wind up with the nomination. Her whiteness is a negative, but is offset by her femininity. Going to be a long, strange campaign.

There is no “middle”
The only thing separating the candidates is the level of radicalism they promote and how much or little they want to TAKE from us to give away

A 'powerful' speech A.B.? It was another rambling, pandering, hypocritical harangue. IMO the real plan is for Creepy to be a stalking horse. For either the Mooch or Horizontal Harris. Which one will be determined by circumstances that prevail. It is a clever plan. But as usual will turn out to be too clever.

There hasn't been a 'middle ' in the democratic party since JFK. We Baby Boomers ( the leftists among us) made the decision to nominate Bill Clinton and it has been a downhill, dangerous ride ever since.
It will play itself out but it ain't gonna be pretty- as we're about to see.

No fan of Stoddard, she is a PITA when Bret puts her on his panel. But, she has a point.
IMO, none of them can win.

From what I hear Ma Warren attracted crowds 2-3 times the size of Biden's at the Iowa shindig. A lot of Dems will be bored to death with a Biden campaign, and sleep through election day.

This A.B. Stoddard is a Trump hater, so whatever she has to say you have to take with a grain of salt.
The way the Democrat socialists in that party are politically situated up through the Democrat primaries, chances are if they get their way, the Democrat nominee is going to be the most liberal-socialist that they can successfully promote through the Democrat Convention.

Warren is "surging" in popularity? She had 700 people at that rally last week, where our not good friend Drudge had the headline up all day, " Warren Packs Crowds". Drudge really does not like Trump to run that headline, all day. When I read the article it said 700 people, then later the actual article Drudge linked to said "several hundred"! You have got to be kidding me.
She is not popular. She is dreadful on so many levels. Like a scolding uptight granny.
