Can the Democratic Party Govern America?

Original Article

I recently had a lunch meeting with a client of 25 years who is a lifelong member and financial supporter of the Democratic Party. (snip) This same cabal that would be charged with governing the nation has, for the past three and a half years, marginalized, physically confronted and repeatedly accused 63 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump of being not only racists but fascists and white supremacists, as well as homophobic, xenophobic and among the most vile people on the face of the earth. What will be their intentions for these rightfully incensed citizens?

This article is scary! I believe it is also true. I wish someone who has the microphone would one day ask the Democrat Presidential candidates: "How many millions of Americans are you willing to kill to implement your socialist agenda? In every instance of Communist take-over of government millions died! Russia 20 to 40 million; China 80 to 100 million; little Cambodia, the Khmer Rouge 7 to 10 million Democrats are dangerous people, not only to individuals but the country as well.

Are you kidding? They can't manage their own party. They think leadership is in-your-face confrontation and intimidation. Dems live outside economic reality. Things cost what they cost for a reason. While there can be some level of cost containment in some areas, usually lower price means you get less. Medicare for all could only be implemented at a great price tag. But it would also require great cost reductions that the dems would simply impose on the system because that is what is required to make it work. Those reductions would limit the service available and increase waits for service. In some cases it might rule out getting the service. It will lower quality. It will reduce innovation and discovery of new meds and medical/surgical techniques. The dems will vehemently deny this but it MUST happen. Why? Because it is economic reality. Less money equals getting less. Period. This is why all Socialist based systems fail, they are based on economic fantasy and trying to force people into behaviors that simply cannot be sustained.

Perfect question #4. Of course they can take many of our guns but they will have to go house to house and not every homeowner will go without a fight. This will require periodic raids. Then once the guns are hidden, the feisty people shot or jailed, the penalty for having a gun must be extreme. As the storm troopers sweep the suburban and rural areas the dazzling urbanites will continue to kill one another at the current rate while becoming more emboldened to expand their trade to the disarmed surrounding areas. This is the path that they are proposing whether they know it or not. The danger posed by the criminal and mentally ill fringe we face today is a drop in the ocean compared with the danger of totalitarian government and disarmed society.

"Can the Democratic Party Govern America?" Sure, if by "govern" you mean rule by iron-fisted diktat. Listen to them - ban everything that smacks of freedom, demolish any courts or institutions that disagree with them, seize assets of anyone they dislike. They can do that (if they are allowed to).

Up until now, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren, have always been reported as two aging leftists unable to stand each other. As of Friday, September 6, an extension of three months to prevent the U.K. leaving the E.U. without a deal passed the Houses of Commons and Lords. In order for that legislation to become law, there must be consent by the monarch — in this case, Queen Elizabeth II. Once she assents, the bill becomes law. While most everyone is considering her assent a formality on Monday, it should not quite yet be considered a fait accompli. (snip) if the prime minister is truly committed to his promise to bring the U.K. out of the E.U. on October 31, he'll advise the queen to refuse the bill.

The recent announcement by James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) that he would not seek re-election in 2020 sparked new worries among the GOP that retaking the House in 2020 might be nearly impossible. Although Sensenbrenner's district should be "safe" (as should about half of the more than a dozen seats in districts where Republicans are retiring), it never helps to lose an incumbent. That said, in 2020, the control of the House may be well near irrelevant. Over time, the House has had one major constitutional duty: the budget. (snip) Two rules apply here. Rule 1: A muscle that is not used atrophies. The House's constitutional muscle is budget-making.
