Rep. Ayanna Pressley: 'Guns Are the
Common Factor, and the Common Enemy...

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) spent her four minutes on the Trevor Noah show Monday night advocating an assault weapons ban that she says would save "millions of lives." She used the word "enemy" to describe the Senate majority leader, even though he has expressed willingness to consider new gun legislation, if it is "serious, bipartisan, bicameral." "OK, well first, I want to say that, yes, guns are the common factor, and the common enemy in all of this is Mitch McConnell," Pressley said.

A major gun-grabber thinking guns are the problem and not the deranged person firing the gun at unsuspecting victims. But I thought the major enemy of gun-grabbing fanatics was Rush Limbaugh. If guns are the problem with mass killings, then silverware is the problem with national obesity.

Actually the common enemy are 'leaders' like Congress person Pressley. Governments have murdered far more of their own citizens than have been killed by school shooters, mass shooters, etc. The second amendment exists to protect we the people from a tyrannical, rapacious and murderous government such as the likes of Pressley seem intent on imposing. I will keep my firearms, thank you.

There hasn't been millions of gun deaths in all of American history. If we ended all gun deaths today, at current rates, it would take over 200 years to save millions of lives. But let's not let facts get in the way of a Democrat spouting numbers.

Quite simply, the woman is an idiot. In 2017 there were an estimated 17,284 murders in the United States for a per capita rate of 5.3 per 100K population. Of those 208 were victims of "mass shootings". If there had been NO mass shootings in 2017 the per capita rate would have been 5.24 per 100K population. There is no way that her proposed gun control laws would save "millions of lives". Most homicides are related to the trade in illegal narcotics and are committed by dangerous career criminals with long histories of repeat felony offenses. An idiot like this woman proposes more gun control laws at the same time that she wants to release for dangerous career felons from prison so that they can commit more crimes.

The, ''common enemy,'' factor in all such sensless acts of violence is the perpetrator who chooses to attack, Rep. Pressley. The perps choose from a variety of weapons as they devise plots to do such evil deeds, as investigations after their crimes are committed reveal. Perhaps the Congressional dems need a course on Criminal Justice so they will stop making such dumb comments targetting only guns.

A new scientific breakthrough could increase the odds that Hillary Clinton, 71, could enter the Democratic primary in an effort to unite the party behind a tried and tested (albeit twice-failed) candidate in 2020. Clinton, whose unsuccessful 2016 campaign was plagued by challenges related to likability, balance, mobility, health scares, corruption, incompetence, and hubris, will be thrilled to learn that researchers at Keio University in Japan have developed a piece of technology that could mitigate at least one of those factors in the event she decides to run again.
