Accused sex child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was discovered Saturday inside his New York City prison cell with a bedsheet wrapped around his neck that was tied to his bunk bed.
“The convicted pedophile, who was 6 feet tall, apparently killed himself by kneeling toward the floor and strangling himself with the makeshift noose, a law enforcement source said Monday,” according to the New York Post.
Law enforcement received a call at 6:39 a.m. local time that Epstein was in cardiac arrest and was later pronounced dead at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital.
Epstein was facing charges of sex trafficking that stemmed from activities over a period of three years in the early 2000s.

And so the suicidal Epstein was moved out of the room for suicidal inmates back to a standard cell with standard cotton bed sheets knowing he was suicidal. How convenient.

Maybe the answer is certain people made sure an environment was setup so a suicidal Epstein could carry out killing himself. Off suicide watch so he has a real blanket. No cellmate. No guards. Now the question becomes did someone make him suicidal. Hope that autopsy had a drug screen.

There must be some reason this warden is being protected and not pushed out to explain this.

My impression is that Jeff's suicide was an assisted suicide, very carefully planned and carried out. Too many things just don't add up. In other words, he was murdered.

In the end, Epstein finally did the right thing. Sad he didn't do it sooner.

This entire Sad Circus happened under Atty. Gen. Barr's watch. He will bear some of the blame for not protecting this high profile prisoner. "I'm starting an Investigation to get to the bottom of this!" ....Yeah, sure. Yet another endless, aimless 'Investigation where the biggest crooks never even get indicted. Whatevers, Man.

#7, Barr is not to blame for this. The AG isn't expected to micromanage things down to the prison guard level. If any higher up is to blame it is the US attorney for the Southern District of NY. He was their prisoner. But the real culprits are the people who managed the MCC--the Bureau of Prisons, the warden and others who made decisions about where he should be housed and how his suicide should have been prevented and of course, the guards themselves.

Why is the country hyperventilating over a pedophile? Let DOJ do its job

How about this for a new rule. In the case of the highest of high profile prisoners if the person incarcerated comes to harm, the warden or director of the facility meets the same fate. A little harsh, I agree but wouldn’t any reasonable person who had that kind of responsibility make absolute certain that their charge was kept safe? If it took someone sitting right outside his cell door, I would have done it. Now look what has happened. Justice has been denied to every victim that the Epstein creep ever abused. There is no excuse for that kind incompetence. All he had to do was keep the guy alive. This stinks to high heaven.

A huge amount of apparent, but maybe planned incompetence, and a series of connected subsequent decisions, by the managers, supervisors, and guards at that detention facility, no doubt set Epstein up to where he would have a chance to take his own life, or to allow a homicide victimizing Epstein to take place.
The detention officer’s labor union, no doubt in political cahoots is trying to defend their members working in the facility, are already casting fraudulent blame for Epstein’s death on President Trump by alleging that the guards were overworked, because Trump would not hire a lot of new guards who would then become union members thus raising up the number of union members to the benefit of the union.
But no matter what the union claims, when a guard accepts a regular shift or an overtime shift, that guard is always expected to do a competent job and follow all the rules, protocols, and regulations of the facility that have a bearing on that guard’s job description. If a guard cannot do that, for any reason, it is up to him or her to bring that inability to perform to the attention of his or her immediate supervisor and higher level managers.
There are a lot of prominent, powerful, and wealthy politicians and others, both in the USA and abroad, wanted to see Epstein gone. To the moment it looks like gross incompetence inside that facility was the proximate cause of Epstein’s death that allowed Epstein to escape justice.

Why did Epstein's lawyer want him to be taken off 'suicide watch'? Has he explained that ? Let's check his bank account.
