In the hours before accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein's apparent suicide early Saturday morning, the two corrections officers assigned to watch over the disgraced financier in a special unit of New York City's federal lockup were reportedly in the midst of working overtime shifts -- and one of the individuals wasn't a regular guard, according to a union head.
Epstein, 66, was found unconscious in his cell Saturday at the Metropolitan Correctional Center and later pronounced dead — immediately prompting questions about how such a high-profile inmate could have killed himself inside an ultra-secure facility just over two weeks after officials believed Epstein may have previously attempted suicide.

There is already a report this AM that includes the tidbit that his suicide watch ended at the end of July.

Hit submit too soon.
The suicide watch was pulled on the decision of the prison warden and the prison psychologist.

I wonder what the life expectancy of these two guards is. It will be interesting to see what type of accident befalls them in the next few weeks. They probably won't even have time to cash the checks.

The prison should have hired some underage girls to keep an eye on Epstein.
That would have allowed the girls to have some spending money, and Epstein would not have killed himself.
(I always look for practical solutions.)

Wonder whether the guards are pulling another double shift tonight...these things happen all the time, you know.

How is it that the Blind Sheik (for example of a high risk inmate) survived so many years in prison, a mastermind of the first bombing of the Towers? They wanted him alive. If the Authorities wanted Epstein alive, he would be alive today. Too many very powerful people, who witnessed the fallout from the MeToo hysteria and the Weinstein downfall, were NOT going to let the pervy perv take them down, too.
Every single person connected with Epstein --accusers, prison guards, shrinks, all the people on the List of Potential Perps, members of the Bar, on either side-- must be investigated. We've had it up to the tops of our heads with the secret deals and prevarications --LIES-- duplicity, special privileges, the different standards of "justice" which is no justice at all.

So now if you work overtime, which people usually jump at because you get paid a premium or are compensated with time off, it's an excuse for derelection of duty and non-complance with SOP? Beam me up....

The Union that will surely fraudulently blame President Trump, should immediately trot out the two detention guards so that they can speak for themselves?

Yeah. One was not a regular. The new guy shows up wearing a suit, a nose broken more than once, he's six feet 4, weighing 250, with a Sicilian last name, told the other guard to take a hike, and when the guard came back the new guy was gone and Epstein was dead. The warden remarked how everytime that guy shows up someone dies. Very strange indeed.

These are all government UNION employees. You would think that if they were working overtime it is because they WANTED to. Instead they are trying to portray themselves as working in some kind of "sweat shop" environment...

I'd bet the "new" guy's name doesn't appear on any prison roster.

So now working overtime is so debilitating that an employee is unable to function at all. Also, the employee who wasn't a regular guard hadn't been sufficiently trained to walk by a cell and look inside.

Wouldn't you think there would be photos of the deceased for records ? They really think we are naive.
