Guards at the New York City jail where millionaire investor Jeffrey Epstein was found dead Saturday did not conduct required checks on prisoners the previous night, according to a report.
Epstein died of a suspected suicide after being found unresponsive in his Manhattan Correctional Center cell where he was being held on sex trafficking charges. At approximately 6:30 a.m., Epstein was “found unresponsive in his cell in the Special Housing Unit from an apparent suicide,” the Federal Bureau of Prisons said in a news release.
Staff conducted life-saving measures and Epstein was transported by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

This is made-for-television-type stuff. At least in television, usually the guilty are found and dealt with. In this case?

'Guards' is (deliberately?) too vague. Who was responsible. Who was the supervisor? As Michael Corleone asked 'who gave the order'? What connections do these individuals have with the SDNY, Clintons, the NY Democrat Party. We need to dig out everything.

i too am very curious. Death from natural causes has been completely dismissed when it is the most believable scenario given his age and stress level. Surprising that any visible means of committing suicide have not leaked. An autopsy will indeed be interesting.

You would think the correction officials would want to release an official fact filled statement and get out in front of this to avoid all the supposition. Obviously incompetence or subterfuge is the order of the day.

Check the bank accounts of the prison guards - betcha they all just made huge deposits. Or search their homes for piles of cash. The Clintons paid them off big time, especially the guard who actually killed Epstein. No sane person on the planet believes that this was a suicide.

As I said on another thread yesterday, this whole thing reads like a John Grisham conspiracy novel. I don't want my government looking like the paperback thrillers sold in airport book stores.
(Unless it's a Tom Clancy book....)

Yesterday, it was reported Epstein had hung himself. Today they are saying guards found him unresponsive. Is the story changing?

Follow the money. Nobody works for free in this world. Confine the entire prison staff who were on duty that night and give them a complete shakedown until the killer is found. Waterboard them to get to the truth.

I read early on that the two guards who were to watch him were told (by somebody) to 'get lost' while some 'maintenance work' was done in that area. Culprits will be found only if someone wants them found. This smells like yesterday's garbage.

Assisted suicide the assassin was in the cell. Yesterday Epstein was a billionaire today he's a millionaire which one is it? I don't believe his wealth he was a 'fixer' with good cash flow.

The cause of death will probably be suicide. That doesn't mean he wasn't marked for execution. If you were ordered to kill a suicidal person, wouldn't you just fail to perform the suicide watch meant to prevent his suicide? EasyPeasy.

Just as it was with bin Laden's "death" we will never know the truth or see the body. This was a hit job with many actors and high level people. The coincidences tell the story. We are officially living in the old USSR.

Poisons are available today that leave no trace and can cause an heart attack a day later. CIA has em as does the FBI.
That is how Andrew Breitbart and Robin Williams were dispatched.
This was done by a contractor. Read the latest Orphan X novel.

Francis Gary Powers was the infamous pilot of the U-2 spy plane shot down over Russia in October, 1960.
Powers carried, on his person, a cyanide capsule, which he was supposed to swallow rather than be captured. He didn't obey orders, and lived.
He was freed from a Russian prison in a spy swap deal, went on to become a helicopter weather pilot on the west coast, crashed his helicopter and died.
Some would wonder if Epstein had such a capsule given to him.

With so many high profile people who could be named in this case, it almost cries out to be some form of hit. If suicide was really a serious issue with Epstein, then why was it canceled, and why was no one at least checking on him on a regular basis? Autopsies are fine, but what the medical examiner finds and what is in the report can be two different things. Epstein's death is just too convenient at this time what with names being released. It's New York, so the Clinton's most certainly can be involved with this in some way. I can absolutely see pressure being put on Bill by a number of high profile people from around the world, especially those that donated to the Clinton foundation to do something.

The FBI better NOT be involved in this. All they will do is make surveillance cameras suddenly not work, or be scrubbed clean. Any other evidence will be changed, altered, disappear, however the Clintons want it. The NY Police Dept. should definitely be kept away from it. DOJ??? Sorry, but I do not trust them either. In a few weeks when everything has died down some little statement will appear in the NYSlime on the 'how to decorate your uterus' page and no one will pay attention. They all got away and they will sleep soundly again!

Where were the detention managers and supervisors when a couple of low level detention facility guards were allegedly shirking their duties? Chances are those managers and supervisors made decisions days before Epstein’s death that put him in a position where he could somehow take his own life, or for a homicide to occur. Yesterday Epstein was the most high profile detainee in the facility, just a couple of weeks ago he either tried to commit suicide or persons unknown attempted to murder him while he was being detained at that facility. Just one day before Epstein died, a court released a lot of documentation containing information about high level and powerful Democrat politicians and others that insinuated that they had a hand in Epstein’s alleged child sex trafficking activities. Based on the above you would have to be a moron not to figure out that there were a lot of prominent people out there who would want Epstein to be a dead man to save themselves and their reputations. From the formation that is public at the moment, it would appear that those corrections managers and supervisors would have had to have engaged in planned incompetence to take Epstein off a suicide watch having eyes on him 24/7 and to put Epstein in a position where his life ended through some yet unexplained means.

I'll bet you guys thought 'mandatory' meant mandatory, but when you get paid enough money, stuff can slip your mind.
Or your loved ones threatened.
In the county I went to HS in, a HS friend stayed and became a lawyer. She related stories years later of two county deputy sheriffs just disappearing. Moved out and gone, overnight. The Sheriff's Dept got an adress of a relative to send the last paycheck to.
It turns out that they were offered money AND a threat against their children to "not be in this part of the
county on that night"......when a drug plane would be landing in a pasture and offloading cargo.
People can be gotten to with the carrot and the stick- sometimes both are used.
