A prescient president

Ronald Reagan was widely viewed as a visionary. His deep and abiding faith in the goodness of the American people and our unlimited potential, coupled with his unmatched skills as a speaker, enabled him to communicate a clear and compelling idea of what our country could and should be. Sometimes, he was even predictive. He was never more so than in August 1984, a very important month in Reagan’s Presidency – one that was choreographed as carefully as any during his eight years in the White House. Everything was designed to be a build-up to the Republican National Convention at the end of the month in Dallas where Reagan

I wonder why Mr Weinberg doesn't have the courage to say what he thinks. He couches his words in sort of fuzzy Washington speak. Is he saying President Trump is bigoted? I am not sure. I bet he was one to tell Reagan that he could not call the Soviet Union the Evil Empire, remember that Mr. Weinberg? When all you Washington "communication consultants" got the vapors? I lived through the Reagan years he was a great President but not for what he said but for the way he felt about the American people and he was great because he made us feel good about ourselves just the way Trump does. He knew that we were a generous nation. He also knew that the democrats had spent all of the Vietnam years and beyond making us feel bad about ourselves. President Trump and President Reagan exhibit very different skills in communication and leadership but the most important thing is that one thing that they both share and that is a love of America and Americans. No one is going to tell me I am a bigot because I believe in borders and capitalism and freedom. No one is going to tell me that a man who gave a job to build a skyscraper to a woman is a misogynist, or a man whose daughter is married to a Jew and converted herself is an anti semite or would even tolerate it. No one is going to tell me that a man who would bar a billionaire from his club for hitting on a young waitress doesn't care about the little guy. So you, Mr Weinberg can take your elitist "I am so much better than the rest of you" opinions and put them, well, you know where. I judge a man by his deeds not his words and Reagan and Trump are men who history will judge by those deeds not by their communication skills. But I will say one thing I have never seen a man address a rally the way Trump does I have never seen a man talk to individuals off the cuff in the middle of a speech and make such deep connections. He is truly remarkable and has communication skills that are apparently way beyond your understanding, like Reagan they are based in a deep love of this nation and the people who make her great.

Ever so often I think about President R. Reagan and the common sense approach he had to government. I really miss him! Although I think President D. Trump is doing a good job, I really get tired of all of the media craziness about Pres Trump. I wish they would just calm down and report facts and quit being so anti-trump. They don't have to be pro-Trump - just report the facts and quit opining!

I remember Reagan well, and he was a really wonderful person. Smart, witty and an amazing speaker. And the Enemedia hated him almost as much as they hate President Trump.

On Sunday's AM Joy on MSNBC, frequent guest Elie Mystal of AboveTheLaw.com made the kind of statement about a "majority of white people" that would be considered blatantly bigoted or racist if aimed at any other group, as he stated that it is necessary for Democrats to "destroy" whites who support President Donald Trump. Mystal -- who has had a reputation for making incendiary comments in his MSNBC appearances over the past year -- made his comments during a segment in which panel members got to rail against whites who support President Trump.

Attorney General William Barr bashed progressive district attorneys taking office around the country, a group that includes Suffolk DA Rachael Rollins, by calling decisions to decline prosecutions “demoralizing to law enforcement and dangerous to public safety.” Barr, speaking Monday to the Fraternal Order of Police conference in New Orleans, didn’t mention Rollins by name, instead referring broadly to lefty prosecutors elected in big cities where Rollins, along with Philadelphia’s Larry Krassner, have campaigned and taken office with controversial lists of offenses their offices will default to not prosecuting as standalone charges. For Rollins, that includes drug possession, theft, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

It was dismissed in late July. The video of the incident went viral shortly after being posted, and has come under scrutiny

Anyone who pretends there’s nothing we can do is lying," he said, "and holding that view should be disqualifying for anyone seeking to lead our country."Biden took partial credit for enacting the 1994 law that banned a variety of semiautomatic weapons and high-capacity magazines for 10 years.

Here are a few things I know firsthand about being in jail. First and foremost, you have virtually no control over your life and surroundings. You can’t get so much as an aspirin without authorization. In most jails, you can’t wear a belt, or shoelaces, or keep a razor in your cell. You have no privacy, no sense of dignity, and no rights. And in a well-run jail, high-profile prisoners have virtually no chance of killing themselves. So the alleged suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, the 66-year-old financier with powerful American and foreign friends who was about to stand trial for allegedly sexually abusing dozens of girls, many of them underage,

August 10, 1969: SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.—President Nixon accused his predecessor Lyndon Baines Johnson of complicity in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Speaking with reporters on the first day of a 10-day stay at his Pacific Ocean vacation home …. Of course, that never happened. Obviously. How could it, how dare it?
