Barr Has Far Bigger Things To Prosecute
James Comey For Than Leaking Memos

John Solomon recently broke the news that former FBI director James Comey will soon face a “reckoning” for leaking memos of his conversations with the president. Solomon means Comey will be embarrassed by an imminent inspector general report containing stern language. Solomon does not mean that Comey will face any legal consequences, however, because “prosecutors working for Attorney General William Barr reportedly have decided to decline prosecution.”
Many recognize Comey as a central figure in the Russia collusion hoax, the U.S. Department of Justice’s interference in the 2016 election, and subsequent resistance to the transfer of power to President Trump. It’s frustrating for knowledgeable observers to see Comey’s elite status

I will believe it when I see it. Why does it take so long when Republicans like Flynn and Manafort seem to get punished immediately for lesser crimes.

Say it ain't so, If this slug is allowed to go free with all the evidence against him we might as well forget about having a fair system of justice in this country. I sure hope that Barr does not turn out to be Sessions, Jr. I was suspicious of Barr from the beginning when they were bragging about his "no nonsense" approach to fair justice for all. Remember they said the same thing about Mueller..
Prove me wrong Mr. Barr !!

They have had years to investigate and prosecute. Nobody seems interested. They just keep shoving it on down the road in hopes that people will get tired of waiting and give up in disgust. Mission accomplished. The corruption is so pervasive they wouldn't indict Adolph if he was friends with the Klintons.

I still think DOJ should revoke Comey's passport to make sure he can't escape across the border. His time in prison will come.

A bank robber running out the door with his bag full can be charged with littering when he throws his mask into the gutter. Why waste time, money and energy doing that when you have him on something bigger?
I believe James Comey knows EXACTLY what's coming down and "dropping" the prosecution on small potatoes sends him a message ... which his friends are leaking to him anyway.
Note he is being quiet now with his tweets and mouthing off. When he does post something it's more about him being a latter day Joan of Arc. Someone is going under the bus soon. Time to CYA.

I agree with poster #1---I will believe it when I see it. Comey will evade any prosecution---something none of the rest of us would manage---and swan his way onto t.v. for years to come, pushing his basic wonderfulness, and people will nod and agree and suspect that everything Barr and others are doing (if anything) is a set up vs a great man. Again, the two tiered justice system!!!!!!!!!

There is a reason why the illegal FISA warrant is so heinous and it is THE crime that easily convicts all involved in this illegal coups to remove a duly elected president. The reason is that innocent lives have been destroyed by a felonious government. The Founders knew that this is what governments do; they destroy the innocent for their own gain and for their own power. That's why there is a Fourth Amendment. Carter Page is the victim in this crime, more so than Trump. These evil people; all of them from Obama to Hillary to Comey to Mueller to EVERY FISA judge (that's right the FISA judge, you're a fool if you think they are not part of the coup), ad infinitum will only be rewarded for their crimes. These full frontal crimes exposed to blistering broad daylight will only be talked about and the GOP will help the Marxists make sure not one thing happens to any of the criminals and make sure Carter Page and so many others' lives will never be made whole by the insidious crimes the government, and the specific people working via tax payer's labor, have committed against them. To me, this is absolute proof the United States as founded no longer exists and will never exist again. We've become the northern Israel of First and Second Kings where every king was evil and we're knee deep in Hoshea's reign (that's the northern kingdom's last king). Hopefully, I'll be too old to march naked into slavery just after we gleefully help the modern day Sennacherib finish us off. Maybe Sennacherib will leave an old geezer like me alone to enjoy old pillows, sheets and strawberries; the new result and bounty of government crime until "hate speech" becomes illegal.

What does the skeptic get? A chance to be right; but often a greater chance to be wrong. Meanwhile constant skepticism poisons the mind. Closes it. My opinion. That does not mean one should be a dupe. But in situations where we do not have access to the “big picture” - and that is what is involved here - a little bit of information (like Comey’s not being charged for leaking his memos as there is legally insufficient evidence to convict him of a crime) can keep our eyes off of the bigger picture of what he was actually up to. What he was doing.
The memos thing was a carve out. There is much more coming on Mr. Comey. As one legal expert said, you don’t start off with your weakest charge. Lose that and it taints what is still to come.

The anticipation must be comparable to the result or we will lose all trust in our government. They opened this can of worms and now the American people are demanding these seditionists be held accountable as we would be on much lesser crimes. I trust that the DOJ is crossing all the “T’s” and dotting all the “I’s” in order to make the charges stick, but if we are being duped again, there will be hell to pay. Americans are sick of arrogant politicians and bureaucrats lying, stealing, and betraying us at every turn.

I'm with AG Barr. His investigation will not be a witch hunt. It will be based on facts and hardcore evidence, unlike the Mueller investigation. People will be prosecuted. You may even see a few attorneys from the Mueller investigation being disbarred. You could see Hilary wearing orange.
I'm with #9 and anyone being investigated with possible prosecution needs their passports revoked. We are talking millionaires that could live in luxury in another country.

Hopefully that other shoe will drop within the next 10 years. Just like the I.G. report which was due out in May. Where are we now, in August. Yet nothing. They tell us its coming soon. One can only hope but it gets frustrating. While we wait, democrats are going full bore ahead, destroying peoples lives every day. Dragging people before these committees, while we wait for an I.G. report that is months over due. Hard to take.

Once Comey is brought in then Felonia Von Pantsuit must follow. Being in charge, Comey had the entire story and probably coordinated the misuse of our intelligence apparatus. Once that ball of twine starts to unravel, many bad actors will be implicated. Treason and a planned coup are huge problems better ignored for as long as possible.

I would rather see Comey in prison, instead of getting a slap on the wrist for leaking. Comey was careful what and how he leaked, and would surely not face prison time, even if convicted. Parole, at worst. Maybe a fine, which would be covered by speaking fees and another book.
However, there is a much, much bigger crime(s) that will see Comey in prison. He will be faced with spending many years in prison. His leaking will be a multiplier in convincing a jury to throw the book at him. Not only that, but he is now faced with the prospect of his personal safety, since he knows (and probably documented) things about even bigger fish than himself.
Either you trust President Trump, or not. If you do, have patience. Its a virtue that pays well.

I am starting to lose hope that there is any lawfulness left in DC at all.

Bringing up charges now is really bad optics while we are in an election cycle. I am convinced that the Left ran all these candidates and allowed them to start campaigning so early is to continue to attack President Trump en masse, while providing cover for the crimes of the previous administration.
For the Left, everything is political. and the hue and cry against any charges brought would quickly drown out the legitimacy of said charges. PDJT and AG Barr need to create an airtight case, get some of the weasels to flip, then present their case after the election when the Dem candidate circus has packed up and gone home. If not the Dems will quickly decry this as "Trump Witch Hunt" with way too many people believing it for it to be effective.

Appears that the case against Comey doesn’t allow AG Barr and his boss to hide behind “national security secrets will be revealed if we put him on trial” excuse. So, Barr’s dishonest excuse is that Comey’s criminal acts are too minor to be bothered with”. The FISA perjury actions by Comey, McCabe and Rosenstein will allow Barr to invoke the false national security threat so that these 3 thugs can escape indictments. The fix has been for Obama regime thugs in since Trump was sworn in, and I don’t understand why.
Note that while Comey, Hillary and their ilk are free to collect rich speaking fees,Roger Stone, who never took an oath of office to uphold federal laws, is under a gag order before his November trial date for lying to the corrupt FBI.

James Comey and his fellow co-conspirators may not have succeeded in overthrowing the elected government, but it was not from lack of trying. If he receives no more punishment than being told, "Shame on you for being a naughty boy," it will prove that equal justice in this country is only a cruel joke.

I would like to see James Comey's law licence suspended. That is the least we should do. But I understand AG Barr having reticence about charges brought against Comey. If there is the tiniest chance that prosecution would fail on some technicality, then it is better to not bring charges. Failing is final. The possibility of charges being brought is open ended.

Please, please, please....RELAX all. No way in hell is Barr letting these slimes walk. He has a much stronger case in process for which Comey will pay. This initial case is weaker and could fail with a wrong sympathetic DC jury. Failure would hand momentum to the bad guys, and weaken their slam-dunk case with "oh, here they come again"...an appearance of unjustified harassment.

Barr 'MAY' be looking at bigger things, but most of us would like to see at least one of these elite slugs taken down and locked up, if only to send us the message that we are 'a nation of laws', as so many democrats keep telling us. We all know that we'd already be behind bars if we did a smidgen of the things our democrat 'betters' have pulled.
